NIGHT MARKET FOOD in Manila Philippines: BBQ & BLOOD STEW
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 окт 2024
- My last night in Manila Philippines and I really wanted to try out one of the local popular night market for some night time eats. One of my local friends suggested Central Mercado a wonderfully vibrant night market in the heart of Manila.
The night market first of all, smelled incredible. From the roasted meat skewers to the refreshing local drinks, there was something for everyone at this night market.
Having filled up on great eats at this night market, I proceeded to a local restaurant that many locals recommended for a taste of Dinuguan which is essentially pork blood stew with organ meat inside.

Be back soon! you have missed so much more... Great Videos as always :D
What country next?
♥
Food vloggers would usually take small bites of each food first. But this guy finishes everything then on to the next one haha
Ricardo Leonardo mark also he eats everything
Ikr! It's like he has an endless stomach. Where does all the food he eats go?
Lev In muscles bro, turns intoo gaiiiiinnssssssss
Ricardo Leonardo thats what i like about him. Ha!
he wasn’t even full. he didn’t sneeze.
This guy is wholesome. His passion and love to every country and it's cuisine. We need more of you sir. God bless you!
agreed, love how open he is to try every culture!! not just the ones in the spotlight like france or japan
Rule of Filipino foods: if it's dry, you need to dip it into something 😁
FACTS
I'm bothered that he didnt dip his kwey kwey hahaha
If it's dry you have to make it wet
Kwek kwek
@L F yeah, like dipping pandesal in coffee or hot cocoa, or putting the dipping on the thing, like peanut butter on pandesal.
Cant believe this is how happy the philippines is every night. 2yrs ago. No virus. No online class. No problem. Bonding with family. Hopefully this virus would stop. Or a vaccine ready to be distributed. Keep safe every one! Godbless
right!? n even tho now we have access to a vaccine n all, not all ppl in the ph are fortunate to receive the shot right away unlike here in america u can schedule one for tomorrow... hopefully this virus will evolve soon
I usually watch Mikey eat foods I haven't eaten yet but to binge-watch his videos where the he eats the foods I grew up eating is just making my mouth water. How I miss PH this lively
Wow! Just wow, the world needs to know and start incorporating FILIPINO FOODS in their everyday life just like we embraced Spaghetti, fries, pizza, meatloafs etc.. Filipino food seems ridiculously delicious. Variations of Filipino foods that I saw in your channel seemed very very yummy and mouth watering
@Flip Baller omg, that spaghetti, with the sweet sauce and chopped(Filipino!) hotdogs, mmm! 🤤
Flip Baller oo basta wag lang mayayabang at buhat sariling bangko.
And they have alot of healthy supergood veggiedishes that make you want to eat vegetables
I feel the same way, and Greek food too!
Can I just say, that of the many foreign food vloggers who went to the Philippines, it’s your vlogs I’m most satisfied with. It’s coz almost all of the food you tried are close to the actual traditional dish every filipino know and love. There are quite a few food vloggers in the past who seeked help from famous Filipino chefs or celebrities only to be brought to fancy places who claimed to serve traditional food but they do not… I’m really glad you take your viewers suggestions on where to go and which to try ☺️
To hear someone appreciating the mere lugaw(congee), that's amazing. I love it!!!
@Adriane Guevarra yeah, love Lugaw congee, and arroz caldo!
I've tried that there, it was something else plus, I put lechon sisig
Coz ours is really tasty compared to others.
Ung lugaw nila ang mahal. 10 pesos lang yan dapat eh ang mahal kaya siguro masarap
Yeah but hoped he added calamansi cause it taste better with calamansi
"God bless this country with all it's love of vinegar." :-D
VINEGAR IS LIFE
Its*
Yeah its*
Whoa... thanks man!! 👌
thats why a lot of filipinos had urinary tract infection hahaha
I think your Filipino food trip was so far the most extensive I've seen on youtube. And it's not even finished yet. We haven't seen your Cebu video. :)
Roselyn Reyes sa kanya nagcocommet ka sakin hindi! Asan hustisya classmate??!!! ;P
Sadly, he's prolly not in the philippines right now. But i do hope he'll come back one day cause there's so many food to try in the philippines.
Yea much better than Mark Weins. Mike always does his research and presents the food well. I like his honest opinion and not sugar coated.
Roseeee!! Hahhhahah
@@Jolina0821 hahahaha ina!!!
I love how the way you appreciate our Filipino foods. My eyes got jealous, but it's fine you give us humour as well.😊
As a Haitian, when they brought out that blood dish, it looked so much like sauce pwa noir (black bean sauce) which is typically eaten with white rice. If you ever get the chance, you should visit Haiti and try the cuisine. It's sooo good. I know you'll love it.
That blood stew in the Philippines is called "Dinuguan," which means pig's blood. Sometimes we say Chocolate meat, too.
@@aaronbarton227 that's just to fool others who doesn't know what it is.
That's "Dinuguan" means tagalog root word is "Dugo" means blood, so when you say "Dinuguan", it literally means bloodied.
Dude hatti is more on the poverty line , white rice is all there is there i been there and no food culture what so ever .
@@edwinalatore6306 haiti. Respect other people's cultures and food. What is delicious to you may be awful to others, and vice versa
You eat like a typical Filipino. You even drank the vinegar like what most of us would do. :-)
@meaturama bruh
@meaturama its with ingredients not only vinegar bruh
@meaturama ha he doesnt get filipino culture
@meaturama well you clearly not Filipino
@meaturama there is two meaturamas I'm so confused
We miss this so much crowd and happy people eating together 😭😭
they gave you chicharon bulaklak (intestines) without vinegar!!! it's almost a crime even without knowing how much you love vinegar
you have to try it again with vinegar
and you should have tried grilled blood at the market
I was thinking the same thing!
When you said "only Asian vampires will eat blood over rice" hahaha
Haa do u bite Rachel 😂🤣😎
Bite me
Iglesia ni Cristo can't relate 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@sugarplumchum421 hahahaha yeah exception always exists
BTW mikey. Kwek kwek are always eaten with sauce because as you said, it's dry as its own. 💕
i miss filipino food 😭😭😭 can't wait to go back home😔🤗
thanks mikee for showcasing filipino foods. Our food is one of the best!!!

Fork kevlar...
Chicharong bulaklak or what you called chicken intestines. Is actually from pork intestines. You need to deep it on vinegar.
that's bucheron bro. oh I take it back, you're referring to the dinuguan topping lmao!
dip*
WRONG!
Chicharong Bulaklak = Deep Fried Pork Mesentery.
chiraron bulaklak oh how i miss you!
No joke. But you definitely nailed the food vlog on the Philippines. You really highlighted the culture from our food.
Whos here still watching this in may 2020 filipino viewer here ❤️

... Oh my gosh..... you ate so much amazing things.... I'm sitting here like, woah. I went from "hmmmm..." to "drool" to "wow" to "oh... my ... gosh"..... its better than TV. thanks for uploading Mike.
What you referred to as congee is our arrozcaldo, which is my absolute favorite food when I’m home. So glad you liked it, Mike!:)
All that food looks AMAZING! It would be nice to be able to eat food to the point that your eyes start to glaze over from being so content...my mouth is drooling...

so true. feeling yata artista haha
If you like our vinegar mix we just basically use coconut vinegar or any white vinegar then we just basically add lots of garlic, chopped birds eye chilli, onions, a lot of ground pepper, some salt, sugar(optional), I like adding a lot of small slices of cucumber then just let it marinade in your container. If either the vinegar or any of the other ingredients are running low just top it up in the same container it will keep getting better through time.
We love you Mikey!!!! I have been following you for some years now and it’s a dream come true that you have made not just one but several videos in the Philippines 🇵🇭!!! A million thanks!!! Please next time let me take you around and our families will cook up a storm for you and your crew because nothing beats Filipino home cooking 😊 Sharing all your videos every day!
Yes! Philippines is very well known for all their dipping sauces! ANG SARAP!
Duuuuude! How can you fit all of those food in you?! I got dizzy after you munched on those chicharon bulaklak! I'm envious at how much food you can down, and still have room for dinuguan!!
You are awesome! I think you can be a host of Man VS Food! Haha
"I can definitely eat this box with myself"

Omg filipino foods might be the one I would love to eat everyday! 😍😍😍btw m Cambodian
❤️
I've seen food videos about Cambodian cuisine and you guys eat healthier food than average Filipino( most of us like fried dishes, unli rice😅 ) , but don't worry if you would ever visit here we have different regional cuisines, from spicy, salty, sour, sweet food depending on the region you are going to. But their are still a lot of healthy Filipino dishes depending on the region.
The first time I had the blood stew was at a friend's bday. I was told it was chocolate soup 😅
and what it taste like?
😂👌 thats what we always tell people who don’t know a clue about it. We often only tell what it is once theyve had a whole plate 😆
did you liked it?
@Visual Addict
you kill'd them right ?
its like getting invited to Hannibals home, and get feed Human flesh..
And friend ?! when they lie.. L

I don't really associate myself with that "Pinoy Pride" thing, I'm more into "Pinoy Fried" (haha I made a joke lol). But hearing you compliment our food with such love and passion, I can't help but smile and feel proud. And that Isaw(intestines), that brings back alot of memories, because everywhere you go, it's always amazing! Thank you so much Mikey for another incredible and very entertaining (and saliva-inducing) video! Keep it up and enjoy the rest of your trip! Can't wait to go back home!

I think he only eats like that on camera, besides working out a lot
He has partner
Oh my god i love how much you find our street foods amazing!!!
One more food you really miss! "Bicol express"
Oh my god yes
@meaturama Because it is used to serve in carenderia (Food Stalls) in Manilas express train station that travels from Manila to Bicol (one of Philippines province). That's why it is called Bicol Express, a little warning though it is "Spicy".
He totally missed it, especially he loves spicy food.
Pork binagoongan

Lazyass Indigo lol eating while standing up is so common in ph especially in the streets
but the others in the background were sitting tho
maybe there wasn't an available table to sit?
Actually, eating while standing is basic, we can also eat these snacks while walking 🤗😚😄
Proud Filipino here!
The cameraman must be starving from all the food you eat 😂😂
Thank you for sharing this yummy episode with us! 😋 Wish we had these night markets in the US. Luckily, my mother taught me how to make many Filipino dishes 😊
I love how he reacts on food 😍
Been to Philippines 🇵🇭 twice night street food is the best !!😋😋
Was anyone else going “try the Jamaican stall behind you”!!! A Caribbean tour surely is on the cards....?
Best part of pork ear is the crunch from the cartilage IMO😚

Ur making me so jealousssss!! Will definitely go to the night market when I visit Philippines 😭
I always make sure I have food in front of me when I watch these videos, it won't do if someone walked in and I'm salivating or making chewing noises for no reason while I stare at the screen. XD
I’ve been swallowing my saliva the entire time I’m watching this and to think I just finished eating dinner .😁
I love that one of my favourite food RUclips channels are in my home country. Just makes me feel good, yeah? 😂😂
“God bless this country, for the love of vinegar” 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
vinegar ftw 🙌
Asian Dracula 🧛♂️ will be happy 😂
Just to correct you Mike, the one you referred to fried chicken intestines.. It's not actually chicken.. It's deep fried pork mesentery or what we call chicharon bulaklak.. It's best dipped in spicy vinegar sauce, which you love!!! And not the sweet spicy sauce they gave you.. I hope you could try it again with spicy vinegar! I know you'll love them just as much as I love them!
can't believe you filmed this in one night.. good health to you mike. great vid..
Mikey was standing the whole time. 😂 It's really hard to get seats in BGC Mercato, especially during Friday nights
Lodi Mike, i know its been a year but i think 4:44 is not a chicken skin, its a deep fried pork intestine called Chicharon bulaklak.
And pork dinuguan is best with pansit and puto👍.
Thank you for visiting Philippines!
I missed a lot of the food you just tried, When I was still in the Philippines I took all of those food for granted till I moved here to the states and now crave for a lot of those food, Isaw particularly since I can't find any place here that sells them.
Exactly what I wanted to say. So many good foods in the Philippines; makes the food here in the U.S. taste so artificial.
Go to a Filipino restaurant in your area. 😁
I could never go to the Philippines because if i did...they would deport me for eating all the food.
Po Isbell actually the opposite of that. We'd keep you from going away for buying all of it lol
And if you're lucky enough to meet some friendly Pinoys, They'll friggin feed you to fatten you up. (Don't worry, you're not on the menu)
Get pinoy friends and they will treat you to so many food outlets in the Philippines.
Po Isbell not really tho.. we like everyone to buy something from our shop, money money
you cant eat all the food coz its either you will die of heart attack or high blood pressure coz most of the food in the philippines are dangerously high in cholesterol
My mouth is watering. I missed the Philippines. The food and the fresh air in the province 😊.
The night market looks so lively, the people friendly, the food amazing, and those drinks super refreshing. Thanks for the video, Mikey. 😁
