A day in the life of a B737 airline pilot - Part 2: Amsterdam to Tel Aviv and back (4K Quality)

- After being off for almoste a week, my fresh new working week started with the Tel Aviv flight which had a reporting time of 12:55 pm. I decided to bring the Go Pro Hero 10 with me!
After getting up at around 09:00 am, I had breakfast, played a little bit of Call of Duty and got ready to go to work. The captain got called out of standby and was a nice and fun colleague to work with! Which is always a major plus for long flight duties.
It has been a rainy and windy couple of weeks in the Netherlands and today was no different! With a crosswind takeoff of 90 degrees with almoste 30 knots gusting, the fun started during the takeoff roll. After takeoff we set course for Germany and continued to overfly Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkiye and the Mediterranean Sea to arrive at Israel. This was around 4 hours.
After landing during the sunset, we had about an hour of turnaround time in which we got the aircraft ready (cleaned, fueled etc.) and started the flight back to Amsterdam the Netherlands. During takeoff a Wizz Air aircraft performed a go around and during the landing another aircraft also performed a go around. The go around was relatively close to our flight path, so we monitored it closely. But Tel Aviv has excellent controllers, so this didn't evolve into an issue.
After flying for around 5 hours again we arrived at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Gebeurt mij ook constant ( in de Cessna , niet een B737 - helaas .... ) . wanneer ik mijn leesbril verwissel voor de zonnebril - altijd valt ie op de grond ! altijd .

Love the video! I will go through the KLS selection after my bachelor next year, but I was contemplating one aspect of the job. When flying the 737, how many full days will you be away from home during a normal month?
It depends on the company, at my company I sleep at home most of the time. I love a layover every now and then. But not everyday.
