Mt anxieties would of never let me do this, with all these people.. plus the whole throwing the football right near the light... nice work photos are great I need to try some night photography
Although I have and love the AD200 Pro II’s, call me silly but I absolutely love using my little Lux Master Retro flash with the mini softbox. Photos look great even with it!
Yea. A speed light will definitely do it and is ideal for night time shoot. That’s all I shoot with at night. Also smaller modifiers. Sometimes bare flash
Wow, that was BUSY! I shot a number of nighttime shoots in the lead-up to Christmas in York (England) and that was busy but we managed (actually, met a lot of US folks who were super interested in what we were doing).I use Neewer RDP light sticks and push the ISO a little - then in Lightroom I used the Denoise feature to get the results I wanted. Lots of photographers, getting the results in various ways.
Awesome video as always. I kept waiting for the kids to either knock your stationary camera or umbrella down… had me on pins and needles 😂 Question: when she changed to the black dress and you increased the ISO, did you move to manual adjustment in the flash or stay on TTL? If you stayed on TTL, wouldn’t it automatically compensate by giving less power to the flash? Or am I not understanding TTL correctly?
Hey Jason, wonderful video, as always ! 🤩👏And to answer one of your questions, I shot at night in December with the Christmas lights in Budapest, Hungary, and I used a speedlight, a Godox V1Pro , OCF with a 32" softbox, and my Canon R6ii with the RF 85mm F1.2 DS, and the results were pretty good (power 1/64 to 1/16 on the flash) ☺
@@Thirsty_Fox Hey, I purchased a 32" softbox from Angler, to B&H Photo & Video, it's really nice because it's a quick release softbox and it's magnetic, you don't need an adapter for the Godox V1 Pro and the AD100 Pro. But you can also buy the Godox S2 bracket, it's a Bowens mount, like this, you can adapt any Bowens mount light modifiers to your V1 Pro.
@@emmanuelvincent3715 That sounds great, thank you for the info. I just found out Godox is releasing the V100 at 100W instead of 76W of the V1, but shares the same magnetic circular head. So far I've been using the V1 Pro with a reflector but need a softbox and stand.
Thanks Jason. Have you ever tried switching to modeling light on AD600? That 1/512 had me considering, then I realized that I could just change lights. I have at least 2 strobes at 600,400,300,200,100,speedlight. Is there a benefit I’m not think of? Thanks.

I rarely was actually in ttl the whole night. I felt it was compensating a little too much for me. I was hanging around 1/256 most the night.

@@J.Allen_Photography Oki doki, I send a few pics to you on Instagram ☺
Which softbox do you use and how do you attach it? I have the V1 Pro as well and want to try it with a softbox. Thanks!

I’ve done the modeling light before, but it’s been a long while. Maybe I’ll try it again.
Nice video! The teen walking, running, and standing in front of you while you're shooting is next level clueless! smh
What was your white balance set too?
