Sony seems to be doing great things in the camera, gaming console, smartphone, and tablet market these days. Hopefully this level of execution continues, or even elevates.

A good lens and sensor and BAM. You'll get what you pay for, i'm sure it will sell, the NEX 7 sold pretty well.

yeah but what sony has done here is pretty unprecedented and we're sure to see future updates where we'll find ourselves with an interchangable lens full frame camera sub 2,500 i think

Get the RX100, its a very good Point and Shoot aswell with great quality and a much lower price point (still not cheaper than a T3i though, but smaller) :)

I would buy an interchangeable lens camera.. It's the same size, but you get to swap lenses for different situations.
