beadaholique.com - In this video see how easy it is to take a long necklace and turn it into a short one using a necklace shortener. The simple spring action makes it easy and versatile to use. Great for long lengths of pearls and continuous necklaces with no clasps.

Excellent, thank you! It is always easy when you remember how to do it. My Mom forgot and this saves the day!
Thank you so much for this video, I purchased some jewelry making supplies box and it had some of these in golden color and I had never know what they were. So this is really helpful
Thanks for the video. I have several of these and thought they were Bails when I bought them. Now I know what they are for. LOL
Interesting! Thanks for the video!
I remember these were big in the 80's. We would take 2 strands of beads, 4 horribly ugly ones for some reason, & twist them together, clasp and Voila! A necklace to perfectly match those pastel pink, football style shoulder pads!!
Takes you back doesn't it. I like to imagine that we've helped a lot of costume departments make jewelry for 80s period movies.
Perfect !😄
nice. thanks for sharing this with us.
excellent,,,thanks
How do you shorten a fine chain necklace?
If you have a fine chain necklace you could use a split jump ring or a regular jump ring however if you use a regular jump ring, you will not be able to open and close it multiple times as the metal will become brittle.
Thankss 🤍now I know how to wear my long necklace tomorrow
