An update on the progress. As of 2016 the vessel is now completely watertight from hull to deck. Work is continuing.
For more information, please visit classic-wooden-... the vessel is currently for sale
Great job but it did make me feel as though part 2 was infact part 3. keep up the good work.
Thanks for posting. But it is commentary and information that I like, not awful music.
Part 4 soon please.😊
Nice project, but it's a shame that you've painted those numbers on the beautiful hull.
The numbers are displayed as would have been in RAF service. I was looking forward to seeing the roundels too but apparently that is also 'work in progress.'
Amazing boat! Hope alls well with the editor of these videos as it's nearly a decade since last upload, would love to see part 4!
Yeah, where is part 4? Really started to enjoy her come together & then nothing! Come on guys, get the video diaries on the tube.
simon makinson My thoughts too Simon. I was waiting for the roundels to be restored to the hull & seeing her planing under her own power.
Painting on red lead and no respirators? Or is that just anti-fouling paint?I haven’t seen any safety equipment used at all.
I live in Plymouth and have seen the boat. Great job guys. It's nice to see history being kept alive like that.
Did you finish the dang boat or are you still tow'n it around?
Working under a suspended load......or one rigged up with wood blocks and sticks....without back up stands....not me.
how long did the restoration take great job on the boat . and where are you from and where did this take place goood work there
Sadly, this boat seems to have been abandoned and now appears to be half submerged on one of the old slipways in Devonport dockyard. (Along with a couple of other abandoned yachts.)
can't people just erase their old senseless crap.
These are no restoration videos, these are nerve wrecking nothing telling noise videos. 👎👎👎👎👎
The best of all is, that you stopped making these kind of sh... 👍
Was this a crash rescue boat designed to save pilots after water landings?
Yes, RAF high-speed rescue launch from WW2. They were known as "Hants & Dorsets", after a well-known bus company because they had a large superstructure that looked as if they had a bus sat on deck. They also carried a pair of enclosed rotating aircraft gun turrets, each mounting 4 x .303 machine guns for AA defence.
I guess I would want to be the rich old bastard who doesn't do shit but sign checks, while these very useful and capable men do all the work.
Too Bad bout the stupid noise he placed in it!! Really a diservice to a fine boat! I guess he calls it "music"...rather stupid noise!
Ah ! makes more sense if Part 3 was part 2 and Part 2 was part 3 !
Should be an update video before you sell it. Was there a Kick Starter Fund to help finish it?
people who restore these and have every piece of equipment at there disposal are OK. The ones who do the same and improvise methods that end in the same result are amazing, :)
Must have cost a fortune to get it that far ,even if the guys working on her were volunteers .It looks great .
Looks great but would love to see some of the steps in more detail like the engine refits
Kanagan, Thanks, Merci y muchas gracias de compartir este video muy buena obra Muchas Suerte y Saludo
