    I can appreciate how we don't need to animate every movement of all limbs, we can just go to the timelines and move limbs at different parts and the game automatically moves the limbs in that direction.
    I'm not sure if I just haven't found this yet or it isn't a thing, I'd love if you could preform an attack that freezes the enemy, like Subzero and his ice ball in Mortal Kombat.

      I hope you put a checkmark in there to mark the public creations as nsfw or slightly nsfw. Not because that is what i want from the editor. Because i just want to dick around with it, and i'm sure many people think about it in the exact same words and this is on the internet and you know what that means. If there is not a specific category for immature joke characters they are going to flood everything. And yes it is my opinion that those should not be banned altogether. Because it's funny as heck, just not if it slaps you in the face, metaphorically but yep i do find that metaphor really fitting. And funny..

    There are some questions I have.
    Is there any function for holding down any button? Like, if you press an attack, your character does something, but if I hold down the button, the character would do something else.
    I will give you an example:
    I want to make a character with guns, but the character also uses the guns for melee attacks. So if I press A, he would punch the enemy with the guns. But, if I hold down each attack, the character would shoot too.
    Another example:
    My character would do a quick spin if I press the B button, but if I hold down the button, can I make him keep spinning?
    Another question:
    Some Smash characters have a B down movement where they counter enemy attacks, they reject projectiles, or they slow down the enemy for a few seconds.
    Would that be possible too?
    And the last question:
    Can I upload my own sound effects for the attacks?

    My main problem with this system so far is that I can’t seem to find a way to devide one sprite into having multiple body parts, I think that they should add a sorta cut sprite feature for that, I know you can import the same sprite multiple times and just select different parts but that’s kinda inconvenient and inpersise, so I would recommend just adding like a sprite cutter tool if that makes sense. But it’s still a very great system, honestly it’s better than most of the professional animation tools I’ve been looking at for my stuff that’s kinda my only problem with it.

    • @SmackStudioGame
      @SmackStudioGame  Год назад

      There are limitations on the resolution of the sprites: sprites can only be 128 pixels tall and 256 pixels wide currently (an upcoming update will allow a height of 256 pixels)
      You can increase the scale of the drawing canvas to create characters that are MASSIVE like bosses- but the resolution of the sprites needs to be within the limits above

    EDIT: ok I've blind bought it because it seems awesome regardless, but meddling with the character editor I've noticed one thing that I don't know how to fix... I edited Kaien's model so I could keep his moveset and appearence while slightly changing some details, such as the clothes and hair colour. However I notice that most of the animations have the modified character but some, like the attacks ones, have the standard Kaien model regardless. Is this supposed to be normal? Is there a way to fix it without me having to re-do the whole edit? Thank you :)

      @SmackStudioGame  Год назад +9

      Hey, sounds like you were able to answer your first question! (For anyone else seeing this, yes- you are able to export your animations as spritesheets and use them in any project)
      For your question about the Kaien template: a few of the animations had baked sprites that aren't part of the animation rig (allowing some extra effects like smear, etc). Our dev team meant to clean all of those up, but may have missed a few on that template- you can just delete the Sprite timeline and make sure the Animation Rig timeline is enabled, and it should be fixed 👍🏻
