your ball example is actually wrong, if you gonna smear it that much you have to also reduce the volume of it otherwise it looks off
@@jokesterthemighty227 Smearing is different with Squash and Stretch isn't it? smearing act as a motion blur, while S&S act as force and material indicator.
Can you make an analysis of the Carrion's character animations? The humans and the monster 😁
So you are getting paid to do this, right? This video will blow up, right? You are gonna get many more subs, right? Because holy shit, this video is S tier. The presentation was smooth, fast but not too fast, attractive, informative, and over all amazing visuals. If I were a game designer, you’d be my first pick for a partner!
Yeah Man!! I had the same reaction the animation used are S Tier and he made all of them 😮
I'd swipe left for sure. Or is it right? Whichever one is for yes, I never used those sites 😏
This is a beautiful display of very nicely condensed and valuable information! Fantastic work :D
Saultoons!
@@PixelOverloadChannel Yo! :D This was a real pleasure to watch, must've taken SO long!
My two favorite pixel designers, cool
Amazing tutorial, I can't even imagine how much time this took to make!
true...
Hey I've seen your stuff on reddit you make cool stuff
same doubt :D
how is this free
Amazing presentation, points delivered with a unique art style. So happy I got to watch the premier and interact!
The early example of the extra axe frames are very important, education-wise.
As some viewers have mentioned, the audio was sometimes masked via the background music. That is always been an issue with headphones and youtube, of getting it just right. I have to see in your example, it kind of fitted the theme of being in a forest and listening to the water and birds, good workaround!
Your work is inspiring and a case study.
Thanks for sharing!
Watching again and again.
Also, I am envious of those trees.
This is with out a doubt the best tutorial on RUclips for explaining the fundamental aspects of pixel animation. Bravo!
Not only is the art style you've chosen appealing, the level of effort comes through very clearly. It's impressive how thoroughly you've mapped visual examples to the dialogue. Definitely continue down this path. Also consider changing your name to Pixel Overlord.
First I was rewatching the intro 10 times because it looked so good, but then I discovered the whole video was a gem. Thank you!
As a tutorial, this is fantastic but as a work of art it's absolutely incredible.
This is one of the most amazing pixel animation tutorials I've ever seen, as well as one of the most amazing pixel animations I've ever seen! Incredible work, thank you
This is your best video so far. Not only is the production quality absolutely outstanding, you have also greatly improved your writing. I'm very excited to see what you have in store if you continue the make videos like this
This is AWESOME! All your background screens/decorations and tutorial itself.. I can believe that you spend so much time to create not only tutorial but the all small staff around: window, text etc. Thank you mate!
I LOVE your art style! It feels smooth, rounded and even painted while not losing any of the charm that pixel art has. The colors are all especially pleasing to look at! I've watched this video more than 10 times already just for the art!
More so than the amazing content explained in the voiceover, I found myself pausing the video again and again just to stare at the gorgeous hand drawn scenery in awe. Admiring all the little details and colour choices, and making note for next time I'm behind the drawing pad as well. The value and inspiration this video brought me is unbelievable. 10/10, one of the few creators I'll ever press the notification bell for.
You're finally back! Love the tutorial and your coloring is so cool (I mean colors warm and cool of course if you watched his tutorial for coloring) anyway, you're a legend and I will always support you
As someone who's watched their fair share of pixel art tutorials, not only does this one have a ton of useful tips, it also has some of the most beautiful pixel art I've seen. Off to check if you have a vid on colour theory
wow, this is the best explanation I've ever seen. Especially your planning breakdown, thanks a lot for this! You're amazing!
The amount of work and time put in here is PATHALOGICAL and obsessive.
I live for content like this.
pathological
I thought I had given up on the channel. Glad you're back! great video and great content. it sure helped me a lot
I've never seen such well produced video in my entire life. A tutorial like this is an artwork itself to say the least. Amazing work, thank you for making this.
So incredibly well done! Beautifully drawn and information clearly presented.
Spectacular video. Truly. I can't seem to grasp the injustice of this video not being viral, compared to videos blowing up with a fraction of a fraction of the work put into it. You've earned my humble like and I'm now forever your subscriber!
literally the most helpful tutorial i've ever watched. condensed everything i've been trying to figure out for the past week into just a few minutes.
Wow. This is a beautifully executed tutorial - thank you for the epic, concise info encapsulated in such a gorgeous container! Your animations and subject matter are truly beautiful and inspirational 🙏🏼👌🏼😻
Dude! Thank you for explaining planning! I don’t know how many videos I’ve watched or books I’ve read where they don’t explain. This is an awesome video
for real we love to see more of your works and tips, simple and effective, plus you're the only one who makes detailed sprites like the large ones and medium ones
This is such a valuable video, and your art style is beautiful!! The aesthetic is immaculate 🙏
I really like your art, there's so much attention to detail, and the overgrown theme is really cool, kinda sad the algorithm doesn't recommend this to more people
Have been waiting so long for this!
Awesome work on this one! I've been dying to see another vid from you for a while now, so this is wonderful to see!
actually using the tips you're describing in a hand animated video has got to be the best thing ever
Great visuals, thorough and nicely explained! Well done!
Love this tutorial so much. It's well narrated and addresses so many beginner mistakes I've been making & how to improve them. Thanks a bunch!!!

This video is sooo good! I've watched it like 5 times now. It must have taken a looooong time to make this. Truly amazing!
감사합니다! 정말 유용한 강의예요. 애니메이션에 대한 아무 것도 모른채 영상을 무작정 만들었는데, 이 강의를 보고 나니 앞으로 열심히 공부해야겠다는 생각이 듭니다.
The art style of the game you’re making is beautiful!! it’s unique, and it really has a distinct identity.
Loved it! Especially the part of motion planning vs editing sprites. Its some I do, its always bad, but I never thought about it as a bad habit until now. Thanks!
This whole channel is a piece of art! Congrats!
Every fundamental I needed to know, dumbed-down to a few minutes and explained in crayon. This is goated, I thoroughly appreciate it!
I LOVE your pixel art style! This pixel art and animation is way too good for the amount of subscribers you have

This must be one of the best produced, highly polished videos on pixelart I have ever seen.
10/10 video for sure. Short and sweet, visually appealing, clearly spoken, and flows well.

I can’t believe you draw everything in this video! Very nice work 😊
The amount of time this video must've taken to make is huge and you can just tell from the insane quality. You are so talented and thank you for teaching me these tips, I never knew about these tactics u can use. These are gonna be a great help. Thanks.

Fantastic tutorial. Many useful tips. Thanks.
I've never seen + I'll never see a higher quality pixel art tutorial in my entire life, the effort is INSANE!
Thank you for this video, amazing and inspiring tutorial!
This was very well presented. I'm dumbfounded there's not too much subs. This kind of work deserves millions of subs in a month.
your pixel art is gorgeous keep on!
Incredible video! You must have put so much time and effort into the production, and you shared some really useful pixel art tips!
The production value of this video is out of this world. Beautiful graphics, well done!
With this level of detail I'm kind of perplexed with the robot run cycle, though. When the right leg points forward, the right hand should be behind, not forward as well. If you don't believe me, try running like that.
Man this helped me fr ❤
Thanks pixeloverload
Jesus Christ the amount of detail is insane! Don't overwork yourself bro you did a great job
these animations are so freaking amazing omg.
Holy shit this was not just a good straight to the point tutorial but it also motivated me to learn pixel art more because this stuff looks sooo beautiful, amazing video!
i subscribed 10 seconds into this video. I absolutely love your style
Absolutely stunning.
glad to see you again, great video!
i realy took a big bite of inspiration out of your video, i hope ill learn alot to animate as smooth as you
Fantastic Guide, and Lovely presentation, This took me back to learning classical animation in my teens (back when it was light boxes, amiga line testers, and rostrum cameras)
Something that can also aid in representing impact is a frame or 2 of overshoot. Also the 'Anti-Aliasing' of animation your refering to is motion blur ;)
If you ever do another guide, it might be worth mentioning twinning (symmetrical features like arms look better when they have a little time offset), and also when your talking about big movements you could explain how exaggeration, and clear silhouette helps the viewer understand a pose.
I love your pixelartstyle ❤ !
