      @@SaRENRampaiger and hopefully this new sequel will actually be good... I'm holding out hope, but in today's day and age where hollywood for some reason needs to destroy all males (especially straight males or white males or straight white males) and feel the need to be "inclusive and diverse" (as if diversity and inclusion never existed before 2016?!?) ... I have a bad feeling that they might wokefy this movie.

    Fun fact: I got to meet the actor who plays the Agent that climbs the police car and does the car-crushing jump. He said that was the most terrifying stunt he had ever done in his career.
    Basically, the stunt car had a handle on the side to allow him to grab and climb onto the roof. It's built into the car so that the camera can't see it. Unfortunately, when the car is in motion, the handle is way more difficult to grab. So when it came time to shoot that scene, they told him to do his best not to fall off. So he had to climb onto the top of a moving car, in his suit and sunglasses, and without showing any fear. He had to stand menacingly and act like he was about to attack the main characters like there was no wind trying to blow him off the car. And he managed to do it successfully, using his fear to make sure he didn't ruin the scene.

    The Architect says that there were five previous versions of the Matrix, and five previous Ones. That makes this current version of the Matrix the 6th version, and Neo is the 6th One. When developing the Matrix, the Machines came to realize that it is a mathematical impossibility that 100% of all humans could accept the Matrix. Because of the existence of human choice, there will always be a small number of people who will reject the Matrix no matter how "perfect" they attempt to make it, and this small number would multiply and threaten the Matrix with a complete system crash that would kill everyone still plugged into it.
    The Machines can't control human choice, but they can anticipate it and plan for it by creating a cycle of destruction and reconstruction. Whenever Zion gets too big and starts becoming too much of a threat to the Matrix, they destroy Zion and kill all the humans living there. The One's purpose is to reboot the Matrix before it crashes and choose a handful of people to free from it so they can rebuild Zion. It's also assumed that The One doesn't tell the humans he chooses to free about the cycle, but instead allows them to believe that he's a Christ-like messianic figure so they can unwittingly help the next One perpetuate this cycle.
    All the previous Ones chose the door back to the Source so they could keep the cycle going, but Neo chose to go save Trinity instead, breaking the cycle and potentially dooming all the humans in both the Matrix and Zion.

    • @NeonfOxa
      @NeonfOxa 2 года назад +3

      actually the Architect doesn't say its the 6th version of the matrix is says I "PREFER" to count from the emergence of one anomaly to the next. And makes sense to me to that although there indeed has been 5 previous "ONE" there could have been any number of versions of the matrix only thing we get from him is how he personally defines "versions" of the matrix, based on what he says he could be referring to only "Release" versions of the matrix, I always took this to mean that the 1999 version of the matrix just gets restarted after every cycle rather than a "new" version, I think the point the architect is making is that how many versions of the matrix is irrelevant due interpretation. as you could easily say that every daja vu is technically a "new/updated" version, and if you follow agent smiths monologue from first movie it would seem 3 versions of matrix, I think my thinking of it makes it a lot deeper :)

      If the cycle takes about 100 years and they're on the 6th cycle, then we could presume that the year is closer to 2699.... or later. The date is the one thing that I wish we really knew about the world of The Matrix.

      @aaronburdon221 2 года назад +4

      @@sandorclegane8164 Pretty easy to understand if you're a programmer but a little over the lay persons head. The short and sweet version of it is that when you start a program e.g. the matrix, smith etc etc then you must end it. You must balance out all actions with an end or else it forms an infinite loop which will destroy your program. A mouse click can initiate several programs like loading a web page, but once the program is loaded, it has an end function. This is so that it's not constantly reloading which would eat up your RAM and burn up your computer. That's as dumbed down as I can get it. Sorry if it's not a little bit easier to understand. What the architect is basically saying is that human brains don't require end functions like computers do so the problem with mixing machine and human anatomy is "choice" So the equation is unbalanced which takes the form of a human "the one" and therefore the program fails (as we saw at the end of the first movie "program failure")

    Those barrels of water are a real thing to cushion the impact of a crash. At least here in America. There are also what is called "runaway truck zones". Usually at the bottom of a steep long hill on the highway, in case a big semi truck loses their brakes, and are speeding down the hill out of control, it gives them a short path off the highway where they can maybe try and stop, or at least crash safer without taking out any other vehicles, but usually, as seen here, they are in problematic spots where idiots that are driving recklessly are likely to crash. Crashing into barrels of water or sand is better than metal and concrete.

    A GSW (gun shot wound) to the abdomen is usually not as deadly as one to the chest, BUT it depends on some factors like which calibre hits you where at what angle. If the bullet hits the liver you'll die slow. If it hits your spine or spleen you'll die. If the bullet goes through and through you'll probably get peritonitis, which also kills. If you're hit in the stomach you might live, depending on the type of bullet. You have a chance to survive a 22 calibre. A 30 calibre soft point or a hollow point would shred your stomach, killing you quickly.

Done what the architect said it would, put everyone back in, change up some things , take out mental triggers and try again . Such a damn cool concept, it’s not like many are thinking, they are remaking the first Matrix,..rerunning , “resurecting” the simulation with more programs to control man.

    39:30 that never got explained how he can do it "outside" the matrix, btw.
    And I'm putting outside in quotes, because the only reasonable explanation I can think of is that they never left the Matrix, and that's just another virtual world that they're more likely to believe. Those who otherwise reject the main virtual reality get pushed outside into the secondary. That would also explain this being the 6th (or was it 7th) version of this cycle of "The One", and them destroying Zion.
    This is all, however, just my theory on it, that I've held since 2004, roughly.

    While the flying to save Trinity scene is cool, I think it is a flaw in the movie, generally. Because he is the one, and operating at a higher plane in the Matrix, Neo should be able to just appear wherever he wants to appear instantly. While you could call it teleportation, I'd prefer to say it is more of a just operating outside of the parameters of the Matrix and having total control of his location. I also think that he didn't have to fight anybody the whole movie. He could have just willed them dead or willed them incapacitated, etc. He didn't need key makers or anybody else's help. He just had to will it to be so. Blowing up the "mainframe" that is somehow inside the Matrix... he should just be able to whim it to blow up.

    (11:34) Of course you have! Anyone at this point in history may have heard about miracles (healings) on patients, where doctors are not able to explain. Also, entities from folklore like poltergeists, shadows, or others more famous such as Dracula, and the children of the night! UFOs, OSNIs, extraterrestrials... It is the mystery of the world and our place in existence. Every religion from today and ancient times can enter in this category giving meaning to the inexplicable (paranormal).

    Matrix movies are interesting reactions to watch. Characters and story are somewhat easy to follow just fine. I would love to see more reactioners go deeper into these films. Symbolism everywhere, references and easter eggs galore and are not picked up on a first/single viewing.

    Gee, I wish we were neighbors 😹 I like this movie but sadly the sequels are affected by the first movie. It's difficult to recreate that sense of surprise again. But the trilogy as a whole is very sound as story telling and many questions from the first movie are really well explained in the two sequels. I laugh and cringe with you re-watching this after so many years. Thanks.
