I’ve been listening to Accept recently. I honestly can’t wait for their new album. Love their early stuff with Udo. And their modern stuff with Mark Torniilo. Underrated band!

What's cool though is they're becoming better and better known all the time. I remember when Balls to the Wall had six million views on RUclips (that was only five years ago). Now? 31 Million.

Thanks so much, Pete and Martin! I had to come back to comment and say that, thanks almost entirely to this video (and listening to some song samples), I just placed a huge order for eleven Accept CDs! It's so cool to finally get into a great band that I just missed out on back in the day! Thanks for the great work that you two are doing to celebrate classic rock, hard rock, metal, prog, and more!

Hell Yeah I love U.D.O and Accept I’m 22 going on 23 later this year and I’ve loved Rock And Metal since I was a kid when my Dad got me into classic rock n roll and heavy metal Udo Dirkschneider is one of my favourite metal singers I saw U.D.O Live 2 years ago here in Edmonton on March 16th 2018 at The Starlite Room when they played Accept songs for the last time it was a great show and I’ll always forever love rock and metal until the day I die🤘

Popoff and Pardo are at it again and what a great discussion and overview of such an extensive catalogue. Fascinating that you two matched on so many slots but, in the end, each has their particular favorite for specific reasons. Really enjoy most of this discography. So Metal Heart is probably tops for me because, as Pete said, it is the most fun Accept album to me. The others in each of your top four are on my list but Metal Heart is the one listened to the most. Thanks, gents, for another great show. Looking forward to more of the two of you on SoT.

Great video! Regrettably I'm late to the party on this.
Anyway, Accept are my all-time favorite HM band!
I find it hard to go past "Metal Heart" as my No.1 choice. It was the first time I heard them, and it was a revelation!
I loved every track, which I find to be a rare thing.
After Metal Heart, I picked up on "Balls to the Wall" and "Restless & Wild" and they were awesome albums too!
I'm so grateful they took in Mark Tornillo and breathed life into the band, when I thought they were gone forever.
The quality has been quite mixed since "Blood of the Nations", but I will always be a big fan!

IMO, Teutonic Terror might be the best old-school metal song of the 21st Century, with a killer groove, understated soloing, and Mark's awesome vocals. I really hope I get a chance to see Accept live, as I would love to see this song. (I did see Dirkschneider a few years ago when he played nothing but Accept material, and that was a great show).

Thank you Pete and Martin and great show as always. The fact that several of us are listing albums such as Russian Roulette, Eat the Heat, Death Row, and the debut among their best speaks volumes about Accept's excellent catalog of music.
I always felt that Accept should have gone platinum in the States with Metal Heart and that the reason they didn't was because they picked the wrong single. "Midnight Mover" is a cool tune but I believed that "Screaming for a Love Bite" was the stronger track and should have been the single and video. And that video for "Midnight Mover" wasn't going to win over the masses.

This video is a great way for me to finally, very belatedly, dive into this band's catalogue! Accept is one of those metal bands that, sadly, never really made it on the radar, even for most metal fans, in the tiny Southern town where I was born and raised. Not a single one of my friends was into them, and unfortunately, I followed my friends' lead at that time. Over the years, though, I have come to realize that in doing so, I really missed out on some great hard rock and heavy metal. I'll be placing a big order for several of their CDs soon!

Hello from Brazil ! Great Ranking ! Accept means much to me, the very first album, in fact a K7, that a asked for my parents to buy in 1985 (i was Only 10) was Metal Heart (The cover is amazing and i was hooked). I knew that the band was Metal... Only because of the cover... UDO Álbuns Ranked: 1- Metal Heart 2- Restless and Wild 3- Balls to the Wall 4- Breaker 5- Objection Overruled. TORNILLO Albuns Ranked: 1- Blood of the Nations 2- Blind Rage 3- Too Mean to Die 4- Stalingrad 5- Rise of Chaos. OVERALL Rank: 1- Metal Heart 2- Restless and Wild 3- Blood of the Nations 4- Blind Rage 5- Balls to the Wall. Unlistenable ones... : 1- I am a Rebel (awful) 2- Eat the Heat (Hair metal poor songs, even though David Reece is great) 3- Predator (too weird...). 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I am german (by the way, older than you two) and first, the original cover from Restless is the cover with the burning guitars, second, their most successful and most selling album in europe was the Russian Roulette album and the tour was their most successful also. In the states they sell more with balls, yes but they never had the status like in europe and they opened only for bigger bands in North America. And last but not least, my opinion too the NWOBHM.....without Priest there would not be any NWOBHM, and my top NWONHM bands are Maiden, Saxon, Accept, Krokus and the early Def Leppard.
So my Accept Top 15 (because I dont talk about illegal downloads) is: Tornillo and the last albums are great, but the best 30 Dirkschneider Songs are another Level!

Accept has one of those rare discographies that I find enjoyment in every album. My ranking:
    16. Predator- watered-down '90s Accept, some cool parts, but Udo was totally uninterested and it sounds like it. "Primitive" is the worst song Accept has ever recorded.
    15. I'm A Rebel- Disco meets AC/DC. Not unlistenable, but heavily influenced by the record label.
    14. Death Row- lots of solid moments, but overshadowed by the chuggy groove metal sound that permeated metal at the time.
    13. Accept- really solid debut, proto-metal, more like hard rock countrymen Scorpions.
    12. The Rise Of Chaos- The Mark Tornillo albums sound interchangeable to me, so I'll rank them all together. That said, Chaos is really when ideas start sounding recycled, lyrics are kinda lame, it still sounds great. A real paint by numbers Accept album. Luckily, paint-by-numbers Accept still kicks ass.
    11. Too Mean To Die- still suffering from the Andy Sneap sameness-not necessarily a bad thing, but you should know exactly what you're getting by now. Great riffs, heavy drums. Essentially a Wolf Hoffmann solo band at this point.
    10. Stalingrad- great album that proves Blood of the Nations wasn't a fluke, but not quite as strong.
    9. Blind Rage- a bit more consistent than Stalingrad, again, you know exactly what you're getting.
    8. Blood of the Nations- still the strongest Mark Tornillo Accept album to me; I play this one way more than the others.
    7. Eat The Heat- yes, this high. I'm a sucker for late-'80s hair metal. I get why people don't like it, but this is my dark horse pick for sure.
    6. Objection Overruled- surprisingly strong considering its 1993 release date. Almost Balls to the Wall part 2, but really strong riffs and hooks. Love it.
    5. Metal Heart- these top 5 will be super hard to rank. I love Metal Heart, just a tad poppier than I want my Accept to be.
    4. Breaker- probably lower than it deserves to be. The first classic Accept album, incredible riffs, great drumming and vocals. Still suffers occasionally from the earlier melodic rock sound on some songs, but not too badly.
    3. Russian Roulette- dark and sinister, popsmart yet heavy. Great fucking album, killer riffs, dynamic... hard to rank only 3rd
    2. Restless and Wild- I had a hard time not ranking this first. One of two all-time world classic albums by Accept.
    1. Balls to the Wall- sometimes the obvious choice is the correct one. The first all-killer, no filler Accept album. Even Restless... had a single song that I think single-handedly dragged it down to second for me. Not the case for Balls. It's perfect. Marked improvement in production, songwriting, everything.

Technically Animal House is an Accept album. It is U.D.O.'s debut album, but it was intended to be an Accept album. All the songs were written by all the members of Accept, but they decided to fire Udo Dirkschneider and start from scratch . Udo Dirkschneider took the songs for the debut album of U.D.O. It is actually my favorite U.D.O. album besides albums like Mean Machine,Faceless World,Timebomb, and Steelhammer.

However with too mean to die growing on me, my eyes are opened, I am going on an accept kick now and taking a closer look at blood of nations, stalingrad, rise of chaos, blind rage. Wolf Hoffman: bold identifiable tone, classical touches, quite enjoyable. If he wants to take control of the band, whatever, fine! Good product (if you can call music a product)
