Awesome tutorial dude! Can you show us how to create an 'internal' gear (where the teeth are on the inside rather than the outside, as in reduction gearboxes). Looking at designing and printing a rotisory gearbox for my BBQ. Thanks dude
Hello When I try to save gears to dxf for laser cutter there are some edges missing. I tried to project extruded gear to a new sketch and than export dxf but the same problem. Do you know how to do that proper way? Thank you Great tutorial!
i have a similer question, i want to make caps (or even gearda) to slot onto a potentiometer, the shaft is effectively a gear with really fine teeth, how would i so this?
Superb video! Wondering if you can troubleshoot something I found when generating two gears (one small 12-tooth, the other a 36-tooth) using the "Add-in" Spur Gear App. I don't want to waste your time or muck up the comments section so I can make it quick.
@@Viper240minecrafter (thanks, man) Yeah, two things. (in my particular case: I'm creating a 12-tooth meshing with a 48-tooth, 20-degree pressure angle, 24 pitch, and am comparing exact spec matches to gears purchased from McMaster-Carr) The first issue is; the smaller the gear and the fewer the teeth, it seems the more the gear's tooth design looks less involute and more cycloidal. Is that just an illusion? I assume Fusion360 would maintain everything as involute. Second, after exporting the obj's: as I mesh the gears together "virtually" in Maya, I'm noticing that there are gaps around the three "working" teeth at the interface point (where two teeth on one gear are supposed to straddle the one tooth on the other gear) while the teeth just outside of those three teeth ARE in contact. This seems counterintuitive, and the McMaster-Carr examples mesh just fine. Am I expecting an unrealistic level of precision with the software? Thanksthanks!
Unfortunately I haven't found a way to edit/resize the gear properly once its been created. I usually keep a log of the gears I make like modulus teeth radius etc. then I save them as components to use later. Sorry I couldn't answer in full.
The easy way would be to just draw a circle from the center of the gear to the end of any of the teeth. Since it should snap to the end you’ll get the radius measurement and you can just double it
Before i watch this video i was designing my gears and their teeth all by myself without using that “add-ins” thing and now when i saw this i found out that i was wasting my time.......😭😭😭😭😭
I appreciate how quickly you talk and move in your videos. It is exactly the pace that keeps me watching.
X2 Totally Agree

Great video thanks! Just downloaded fusion for the first time today and I understood everything straight away :)
One of the best f360 gear tutorials I've seen! I agree on the speed, keep it up! Can you do a video on worm gears?
Thanks for the video helped me a bunch especially the cutting extra plastic part!
Amazing tutorial
You have just saved me about 1h of useless work!
Keep up with great work man!
Always afraid on making a gear until this video
Thank you!
great video, can you tell us how u can put them together and rotate them?
This guy just blessed us with this video two years ago and stopped uploading lol
Very quick and helpful video man, straight to the point. You should make more of these for Fusion, gained a subscriber!
Very informational. I now have a degree in gear creation
pretty nice quality over here, you definitely should make more videos! btw thanks for the help!!
your the best tutorial yet

Did you have time to make the gear rotation video?
nice tutorial bro
Thank yuh very much

Yea what did you find

Wow!! valuable content......you explained it very well!, Thanks for sharing, Keep up the great work!!
Thanks for making this video, man!
What about Crown Faced gears?
great video, have you done a video for a worm gear or a spur gear?
what a handsome man we have here
bro thats so gay oh my god
Can you design timing pulleys that work with gear belts, with this script?
Nice work dude, Thank you
you should explain to people that the module concerns metric gears
Great video, very helpful thanks!!
how do you resize once you click ok, do you have to go back to tools and go where the file is again? im new to fusion.

This is awesome! Thanks so much!
Is there a way to make a herring bone gear?
what happened to the workout challenge
Nice and fast. thanks!
8 months later and you haven't uploaded the other video. Nice man
Sorry covids kinda ruining my free tone all I do is school and work
Time* sorry
Fusion 360 is free?
@@3dgiftz It's free for academic purposes.
Looks like my editor crapped out at the end of the timer. Hopefully this doesn't happen text time Haha
How do I make it a component? When I try to create an component and go to the add-ins it is blocked
start making videos on cad will help ur channel ur good at it.
Great video thanks
Great Video Congrats 👍
what about linear gear?
FINALLY !! THANKS
Thank you so much.
very helpful video amazing
You mentioned making the gears move, did you create that video?
I haven’t yet sorry I haven’t had access to fusion for the past year but recently was able to get it. I’ll make that video as soon as I can
Thanks dude
thanks
very good
How can I know the overall diameter of the gear?

Only this video got 12k views when compared to other videos
So make videos on how to make a gear wheel

man never did the weight loss challenge
This guy is smart AND cute
