What's the sense of having "Ring" doorbell if you're not checking your notifications when someone is on your doorstep or property
It tells you that, gives you time to reply & sometimes you can call the police if the person is at your doorstep long enough.
Where do these fools come from thinking you're just going to open up your door and let them in?

THIS is why I have a screen door made of metal. I can open my door, which IS locked, and still have a LOCKED metal door between me and the outside!!

That ain’t deter most kids. Studies show thet the biggest influence on you g people isn’t schoolteachers or authority figures. It’s peer pressure. Friends and schoolmates. Nowadays that includes social media. Behaviors influenced by social media spread outward like viruses, including positive changes.
Gonna be honest, when I had my 1st house I wish doorbell cameras were more readily available. That was almost 20yrs ago. Luckily I had known my neighbor my entire life and she was always awake, she caught people trying to break in 3 different times. I woke up in the middle of the night 3 times to police at my front door bc someone had tried to break in. Knew I was a single woman with a small child. Thankfully my wonderful condo is much more secure!

It’s because of crazy people and thieves that people have to have video doorbells and other surveillance cameras on their property. I was born in 1963, and growing up we didn’t need surveillance cameras like we do today. I think the majority of neighborhoods in the U.S we’re pretty safe. it was safe to leaves your doors unlocked during the day, windows opened at night, and mailboxes didn’t have locks on them.

WHO today leaves their doors unlocked? I do NOT live in a high-crime area but even so if some clown comes up to your front door you sure as hell don't want them to just walk right in! I also have a pretty good Alum. storm door with a THICK glass pane which too is LOCKED so if I do open my front door which is rare I still have some level of separation. Honestly, the ONLY time I open my front door is AFTER I've viewed my door-bell cam or another camera showing someone approaching which give me a notification and brings up the display on my Echo Show's or even my TV in a pop-up window. With the latest addition of the Echo Hub for me my door-bell cam comes up on the display and if its someone I do not know I will speak to them there and NEVER open my front door at all.
I do , and open sometimes, but your not going to like what you find coming in unwanted, 🐕🐕🐕
