Used to just be porch pirates and a few burglars while people were at work. Now it’s getting really scary! Also, when someone is shooting, you don’t go out on the porch, much less to the yard.

No. I can guarantee you none of this is any different from before, we just have CCTV and were exposed to it more because people post their footage.
My mom used to hide us and herself under the couch if she thought she heard gunshots. She grew up in Chicago, but this was in Hollywood, CA. In the 60s/70s. Still bad but not as bad as these days. This was right after the riots, the Manson murders, RFK, etc etc, so - anything could happen!

One of the most effective deterrents I've ever seen was a sign on an antique shop in a small town in GA. It warned would be robbers that the place was booby trapped, and attempted forced entry could result in maiming and/or death. Now, whether it was or not, I do not know, but not too many would be willing to try it and find out.

Impossible for cops to get there immediately unless they happen to be right there. This is why anyone thinking the cops will save them is crazy.

This is why so many want teachers and or schools ARMED, the school was not close to residents homes, and when the residents parents were told of what was going on, the Police held the ARMED crowd back from going in to save the kids, BTW almost 1k per day reported instances happen everyday were a weapon gun was used to save a person or persons! I have never understood porch pirates, you have no idea what’s in there! Yeh it could be an expensive piece of tech, but it’s just as likely to be like 20 boxes of dryer sheets and everything in between. with it being as bad as it is with porch pirates 🏴☠️ enclose your porch if they still tear it up to get to a package 📦 see if the police would sit on your house arrest on site because it’s a federal offense until that package gets into the recipients hands.

When these videos,first came out,more ppl would retreat,after realizing there's a ring camera.Then some ppl would disable the camera,if possible.Now more thieves,thugs , mentally ppl don't even care that they're on camera.Its like its effect is wearing off,over time.

We had a guy come to our door selling something. My mom is in a wheelchair and had answered the door. He tried to get her to let him in to use the bathroom. Thankfully she said. Unbeknownst to him, it was for his safety not hers. She has a combat vet living with her with extreme ptsd and a son in law that grew up being highly into guns, and other...lets just say other activities. He turned his life around but he definitely protects his family. It would have been a very bad day for that guy.

He used to have a 65 Mustang convertible, but after 15 DUI's he lost his driving privileges and then he got a pony but got arrested for animal abuse then he stole and electric shopping cart but he got busted when a Walmart worker saw him driving it through a bad part of town and then he bought a hobby horse and he did not realize that he could not use it as transportation. I have no idea where he got the bike.

prevention to catch criminals.
Ring should manufacture a door bell with an inconspicuous
nozzle incorporated into the unit that would allow the homeowners to spray pepper spray from inside the home.
It could be stored in a decorative wall hung device that would
make it easy for the owner to replace the pepper spray
canister as needed. The spray could also detain the thieves
until Police arrived.
