My bf is an Amazon delivery driver, and he usually delivers in Tacoma, and he said a lot of people have lock boxes then give the delivery drivers the code in the delivery instructions. There's also a few people that leave snacks and drinks out for delivery people

Indeed. If it was me, I'd get the packages inside immediately. Sometimes, though, the homeowners aren't there, but are reacting to the ring notification and confronting the perps through the app. You raise a good point, nonetheless.
Not everyone has a camera so they may not know the item has been delivered. Most delivery people do not ring the doorbell or knock or do anything to let you know a delivery has been made. They simply put the stuff down and leave.
It’s incredible that there’s enough incidents with strangers at front door steps, that you can start a weekly RUclips channel.

You do know Amazon has lockers at stores right? Just have your stuff delivered to the locker, they hold it there for 3 days. Nobody's breaking into a locker.

12:00 if you replace all of the screws in your doorframe (most importantly, the strike plate and hinges) with 3" stainless steel screws (which will go though the doorframe into the 2x4 of the house frame) , this is pretty much what will happen if someone tries to kick in your door. It takes the force of the kick and spreads it from just the doorframe (where it would splinter the wood and break) into the frame of the house, preventing the doorframe from breaking. I'm stoned, so I hope that makes sense 420/710 lol

That's what I did today! As soon as I was notified, i immediately stopped what I was doing an ran, not walked, but ran to the door to retrieve my package. Watching these videos put me on high alert.

11:52 First thing I did when I moved into my new house was replacing the front and back doors with 4-inch steel reinforced security doors like the ones in the banks. No one is getting in with out 4 keys belonging to high grade secured locks on the each door. I don't even get up from bed when I hear kicks in the middle of the night anymore. :)
Every time I did call the cops and when they came, they always complimented me on my doors and my security system right before they left my property.

As a doordash driver for many years now I really can't say enough how not only does having so many drivers on the platform now ruins the earnings market for hard working delivery drivers. The unprofessionalism of these DD driver's makes such a bad name and reputation for those trying to make a honest living. I constantly hear complaints from merchants about certain drivers and things that have happened in the past and how they complain to DD to get people deactivated for good reason and how they will somehow get reactivated and back out on the streets working. They need to crack down harder because the difference between when I started back in 2018 and how it is today it seems like DD and probably Uber as well is letting anyone Deliver for them and they should really be creating a system of stricter criteria and a level of professionalism standards to maintain. Quality not quantity. More experienced and honest good moral character drivers and better pay to those drivers should be the goal. As of now I can see the coming decline and collapse of these platforms when the company's take huge hits in there very large profits from the deterioration of there service.
I am pretty much totally disabled and by necessity I have someone deliver my groceries to me. I don't have a camera so I have them call me when they leave the store and I start watching my drive so as soon as they deliver my groceries, I can bring them in, so they don't get stolen. I could watch for DD deliveries also but there is another reason I choose not to use DD or Uber Eats or any fast-food delivery. I have seen too many videos of delivery guys who open the box or bag and steal toppings off a pizza or a sandwich or someone who is delivering a drink and takes a sip on his way to the front porch or even one person who dropped a pizza on the ground and picked it up and put it back in the box and delivered it. ICK!!! Until there is some way that food can be sealed so it becomes obvious if it has been tampered with between the restaurant and my house, I don't dare use any of these services and that's a shame because I would love to be able to indulge in some fast food occasionally. It's like you said, a few rotten apples spoil the whole barrel.
I am an older retired lady, and Door Dash is a wonderful thing to have!! I always get one of two drivers, because I tip VERY very well. But I do that because they give me the best service and they are very nice to work with. They know me and I know them, and if they can't make the run for me they always tell me about other drivers I CAN trust. Get customers like me and treat them well and before you know it the shitheads will no longer have jobs! I know I really appreciate you!!!

I like the way you think. I HATE thieves and I must admit that the biggest belly laugh I have had in a long time was when that stupid woman stole the package and jumped over onto the lawn and slipped on the wet grass and went down seriously injuring her leg! She had to be helped to her car by her accomplice and I thoroughly enjoyed imagining the kind of pain she was going to be in for the next few days. Don't know that this will stop her permanently but at least it stopped her for as long as it took for her leg to heal. I like rewatching that every now and then.

Couriers in our country don't leave packages on doorsteps, there HAS to be a person receiving and signing, or they take it back to the depo and do a re-delivery.
We even do a courier lockbox point where you get a pin and collect your packages from what looks like postal boxes at certain locations.... How has noone developed these systems in America as a standard practice for delivery?
America is too big for that. It might work in certain locations as a regional or citywide service but where I live out in the country it would be really inconvenient for me, especially as porch piracy is a low probability for me. I’d much rather UPS left my packages on the porch whether I’m home or not.

IFTTT (literally stands for "IF This Than That") is pretty cool! You can use their processes with Alexa (so, Blink & Ring, too) to do pretty much anything you can think of, but it can get a bit confusing.

A few years back a friend who repaired TVs had a shop in the bad party of town back then the big consoles were bulky and heavy and the ones he couldn't repair were taken to the dump it wasn't easy and cost him money so he kept them. But every other night his shop was burglarized one night they stole some 20 inch portable's that he hadn't had time to fix ,So one day after a delivery of a big console he kept the box and put an old junker in it and left it in his delivery van next morning it was gone along with 3 other smaller ones so for a few years he didn't have to go to dump he'd just clean them up put them in the sales office a they'd disappear over night.

I had a similar situation once as the clip of the family slipping on the ice and falling down the stairs. Was the middle of a bad ice storm and had to go to work. Unlike the family, though, I live in an apartment on the second floor, easily 8 feet off the ground. I took one look at the stairs leading to my unit and knew I wasn't getting down them, and a tentative step confirmed it as my foot immediately began sliding on the first step, and it was the same for a second set of stairs further away.
Needless to say, I called in because no job's worth snapping my neck over.
I look forward to each upload from this channel. I will stay but these creeps at the doors can GET LOST!!

Just because someone has nice things does not entitle someone else to steal them, and the criminals should be treated the way in which they deserve. Do you take every shiny thing you see? No, and no decent person does. They find a way to get their own in an honest way. No one who has worked hard for something should be afraid to buy it or be shamed when they do. It's not any good person's fault that others who are not so good do bad things.
I was once shamed in New Orleans for storing my luggage in my hatchback car where you could see it through the back window when some young kids tried to break it and steal that luggage.
I was dumbfounded when the cop told me I shouldn't leave the luggage visible, like their crime was my fault. Um, in a hatchback, there's nowhere else to put it. They don't have closed trunks. There you have it, another perfect example of victim shaming. Wow, just wow, and you even go so far as to admonish people to not buy nice things......Shame on you. smh
