I added a 800w 10" sub with a ported box and it sounds amazing in my G70. Without it, the stock system does come in a bit conservative on the bass however it is tuned to not clip at any volume which is nice. I found that on mine, it sounds best with it set to Stage, Clari-Fi ON, Treble at +3, Mid at +1 and Bass at +6. Again that's with the additional sub in the trunk with one seat down.

I tested both the tlx type s and this and I have to say the tlx has MUCH better bass but the lexicon has a very tight mid range. It’s hard for me to decide…
I have the same model/year. I found the system sound better when you move the position toward the back speakers. Like 70/30 . You also do get the wide screen now with Android auto. May have been some updates. 👍
This genesis seems to have a great sound system, however, I did hear some rattling in the vehicle throughout the audio demo. Fix the rattles and the sound system would be perfect.
Have a 2022 G70 Launch Ed and there’s no rattling whatsoever at any volume. Traded in a 2018 Audi S4 with the B&O upgrade and the rear speaker shelf and passenger door panel rattled badly right from day one. Audi tried to correct the problem numerous times without success.
Love the on-stage mode in my g70! Blows the Bang & Olufsen in our Audi away. My only complaint (and this applies to most “fancy” car audio) is that it makes XM radio sound even more terrible than usual
I have the 2020 3.3 g70 with the Lexicon. I was not very impressed. The mids were good, the highs were decent too. But the system has no bass. Even when I messed with the settings, it was not very good. I think the system is underpowered and I'm not sure adding a subwoofer would fix the sound. It could also be in need of some serious DSP tuning.
I was thinking about adding a spare tire subwoofer (like the JBL 11") to assist with the sub. It doesn't sound bad, but I just need a little more oomf on the lows. Figure a modest spare tire sub would do the trick, while maintaining it's factory appearance! Even though it's in the trunk, I feel like it should be decent enough to provide the feel of a dedicated trunk sub even with the seats up.
I have the Harman/Kardon QL7 in my Optima (same as Stinger's system) and just got a G70. The HK had more bass really good clarity but the Lexicon is much clearer. I didn't even know it could get clearer lol. The audio is sharp and you can tune the bass up to match the HK system

Use reference setting with all set to 0 except bass at 4. I literally only feel the bass in the doors, and it rattles the doors a bit unfortunately. It’s like the low lows in the base doesn’t come through.
Thanks for these reviews, but at 14:00 IMHO that's the moment you should have started over... It's misleading until this point if you don't use the proper settings.
No. Only the exterior and a few interior/feature changes, they haven't re-designed the car yet, only updated. The re-design will come next year probably and will smoke the Mercedes C class and 3 seires
There's nothing wrong with that! But we evaluate systems with flat EQ because that's how the engineers designed it to sound. But we do take EQ adjustments into account for our final evaluation.

I had a Stinger with the Harmon/Kardon system, which is essentially the same as this Lexicon system, but slightly more wattage (720 vs 660)and 12 channels vs 11 channels in the G70, and with just a +1 to the bass my car would be rocking at half volume. I guess the extra 60 watts was all going to the subs
nah it has the same subs BUT they supply extra wattage to it. So, you can emulate the stinger system with the G70 but you just need to turn bass +4 or maybe +5 to get comparable levels. The G70 has better speakers though throughout the vehicle, the speakers that are the same are the door panel ones and the subs, the smaller ones are upgraded, lexicon did a great job

Big deal, you have to add bass... what sort of a criticism is that?? Every car I get in I adjust the settings for my personal taste. I think that silly comment as a reason for marking down the score lets the whole videos credibility down.
Even with the bass adjustment turned up, it's not a heavy, satisfying, pumping bass like you can get with other vehicles. That's where the criticism comes from. Don't get me wrong, it's good, it's just not as good as some others. Polestar 2 that we have right now has a woofer under the dash and one in the trunk, and its bass is much richer.

I have the 2020 3.3 g70 with the Lexicon. I was not very impressed. The mids were good, the highs were decent too. But the system has no bass. I try both of them the lexicon 15 speaker is 25% better quality and bass and more detailes . But the 6.1 basic system not bad .

I’d put my old Elantra system up against this. Oh it had a set of DLS ultimate iridium components and a JL w13 powered by Audison VRX amps.

The Lexicon is decent but this car replaced a Nissan Maxima that was stolen. I was spoiled by the premium Bose system in it which is much better.
I had a bose system in my Q50 as well and have to say that the Lexicon is superior..... by a lot ... especially with SXM.....
If you want better sound, try Allman Brothers: Eat a Peach or Steely Dan: Pretzel Logic.

Its a good sound system but the back speakers are too weak. Sound is very “2d” and I dont hear anything from the back
Change out the back speakers to dual skar 8" with a 3k .... thats pretty low
