I LOVE the under-body segments. You're the only automotive journalism source that actually shows viewers what the suspension components and critical drive components look like. And the comment on the drain plug is good practical info that we won't ever get from MT, C/D, et al. Great review. Keep up the excellent work.

When one wishes to improve things about their life, it's good to hang around people who are inspirational in those aspects.
Those who are wealthy, talk to them and figure out what they did to get there.
Those who speak well, spend time with them and really allow their talking to rub off.
Those who manage their time well, spend time around them and find out their habits to emulate.

This car has so much more style on the interior than the 3 series bmws. I think I’ve heard that this is a better 3 series than the real 3 series and I (without having driven it) would tend to agree.

Exhaust Sports Auto haven’t driven it either, but what stands out to me is that the 2.0 has much worse fuel Econ ratings than all of its competitors by far. Some will say fuel isn’t important in a car like this, but I still question why they can’t get it close to the rest of the cars with 2.0t engines.

That’s certainly a beautiful car. I looked at it a few times before ultimately deciding on a Stinger. The G70 is dynamically more sound than the Stinger but the left rear seat is unusable with a driver over 6’. I’m sure the lack of space helps with the dynamics but the priority for me was accommodating my family and friends over the bump in dynamics that the G70 gives versus the Stinger. With that said as a value based consumer I still like both of these over all of their competitors. Kudos to Hyundai/Kia on hitting a double on their first at bat. Keep it going 👍

I like that they moved the cruise control buttons over to be right just beside your right thumb instead of inboard to other controls on the steering wheel. That makes it a bit quicker and easier to use cruise control without ever having to look down at those buttons.

No word of a lie, the G70 is my lottery car. Style, luxury, and performance, but with a price tag under $80 Grand. I work with guys who own pick up trucks that cost more. No, it's not a super car, and it's not gonna stand out in a crowded field of big money moving machines, but that's what I love about it. It fits perfectly into my lifestyle and has that air of low key sophistication.

I was looking at the Kia Stinger as my next purchase to replace our AWD 300C in the future. You compare this car and that a couple times in the video so I get the sense they are nearly identical. Did you prefer 1 over the other? Is there a $50k cad$ comparable AWD competitor I haven't considered that is even better? Thanks for the great reviews!

This video is brought to you by Tim Hortons. ;)
Jokes aside I kind of wish SG was comparing more so to the direct competition rather than the G80
but context and where the car is coming from is important. I'm honestly not super interested in the G70 itself but really hope that it pushes other manufactures to up their game and add some fun back into their cars.

Great look at the G70. With M heritage and hands of German engineering, this car is something to seriously consider. I'm comparing with a 440i xDrive Gran Coupe and I don't see any 4 series videos on your channel. Any plans on reviewing a non-M 4 series?

Great review. I love both this channel and TSP. Cliche corner is on my commute to work. Jakub/Yuri, if you see a grey G80 5.0 lurking about, that’s me! Cheers. Marc

+1 regarding the terrible traffic in the GTA. Moved here last year from the West Coast for work. Already looking to transfer back because I can’t stand how busy and congested everything is.... anyways good review as always!

That photo of you standing in front of a Canadian Tire, holding a Kinder egg, and the bags of ketchup and all dressed chips... LMAO.
BTW, I've lived in Mississauga all of my life, and this is the first time I have ever heard of that service station...

I hope you have an opportunity to review the 2.0T RWD manual G70, after all that should be the enthusiast platform.

I want a sedan that's a good middle ground. Soft, quiet, takes bumps like a champ, while also having good acceleration time and one hell of a exhaust note. So far a Stinger, a Genesis and possibly an Audi R3 are my choices.

    Hey Mark,
I drove the 3.3 TT (slight turbo lag) for an entire weekend in Vancouver, Canada just 30 days ago and totally luved it except for: (a) the rear seats are small (b) The resale value & reliability concerns are HUGE (c) I found a huge vibration when cornering - could be the brake vectoring.
BUT - The price point, the maintenance included, the valet service that I received was top notch, that engine was put thru its paces and handled it very well, huge amounts of torque (I enjoy to drive spiritedly when safe to do so- Very very happy with that engine & transmission), many Drive Modes, great sound system and all the safety features.
I used that right pedal and my mileage took a big hit. I also drove on eco mode on a highway trip for 100 kms and got 12.6/100 kms.
The comparable cars will set you back $15K for similar features and options.
I like the looks. My tester had the Blue ext with Red Brembos, dark wheels along with the black & red int. That quilted interior is gorgeous.
Really it has every feature that you want AND the drive, sportiness, turning radius, that ENGINE...WOW!!!
    Cheers from Vancouver, Canada

Sherlock Homesian deduction : nope, this was recorded a while back. Besides the heat, the most telling is the length of hair in the closing comments -vs- while driving. Oh, the Live stream for Sep 12th is the clincher :P

Canadians seem like very nice people 👍 Never have been there but have always heard 2 things about Canada. 1) the cities are very crowded, 2) the people are very nice genuinely. This Genesis is great. If i was in the market i would be looking at one. Would take this over a stinger... But that's just me. Hyundai just has better looking cars vs Kia IMO.
