The best part for me is watching how easy he plays it and imagining how it took lars 708 takes to get it right in the studio, and he hasn't played it right since
$#!+.... come on... $epultura Igor Cavalera?!?!!! PanterA Vinnie Paul?!?!!!!! Classic Larz With MetallicA Whiplash?!?!?!!!! Dave's Amazing!!!...not the best IMO
Every one of these tunes shaped my desire and drive to play. Especially the first 3. I ate slept and breathed PanterA, Sepultura, and Slayer back in the mid 90s when I started teaching myself.
I Digg Them All , To The Fullest But Mauricio Plays All The Bests To The Extremest Core !!!! He Goes Hard Core And F'n Extreme With The Drums !!!! Awesome Drumming ,Most Definitely !!!!!
@@frankhermansen243 If you're talking about drummers, Charlie Benante is a better drummer than Igor Cavalera ever was in terms of both style and technique. Also, the Big 4 were the 4 pioneering thrash metal bands from America of the early 80s. Sepultura started too late, was from Brazil, and didn't even start playing thrash until about 1989. It may sound like I'm hating on Sepultura, but I'm not. Believe it or not, I actually like Sepultura more than Anthrax. They're both some of my favorite bands though.
@@waltysalamander I just dont like Anthrax's sound, he might be better "I personally think its hard to judge who is best in general, because the creativity is not easy to measure".. I just like the way Igor "thinks" drumming
I disagree with that. I love Igor’s style. To me he’s more than a metal drummer. He tackles and blends so many more styles than benante. Think of samba, traditional percussion. I think both benante and Igor are/were perfect fits for their bands
I always LOVED the breaks in Hit the Lights, it always makes me imagine Megatron's midair transformation in the first movie, before he BLASTS off at mach speed. Those fills before it goes back into full speed and volume feels like an absolute rocket blast.
Love you man...i think we were influenced by the same music growing up across the globe. I'm gonna pick Igor as the drumming on the Arise album was so unique and groundbreaking to me at the time. Cheers!
I just wanted to say that you have inspired me to finally "pull my thumb out" and learn to play the drums. I have been scouting for a good starter's electronic kit (as I am my disabled Mum's full time carer, I currently live with her in a retirement place and as such a "proper" kit is out of the question) and would really appreciate any recommendations for a kit that you (or anyone else who reads this comment) have. I have been looking at the Roland ones that have the mesh drum heads, but I am very open to suggestions. Thanks for everything you do dude, and a massive thank you (and that also goes for anyone else who replies) if you do reply to me with a recommendation. Sincerely wishing you all the best for the future!
Dave Lombardo is the man!
Нет, он Big man)... Маурисио, хотелось бы интервью с Дейвом... Это бала бы Бомба!!! Очень интересно чем он сейчас занят)) Кто согласен, ставьте лайк👍
Fucking slayer
Love 'em all.
Evil James Hetfield be like:
He KILLED 'EM ALL...
Evil Cliff Burton:
Love the cheeky look on the whiplash breakdown as he nonchalantly hits all the cymbals correctly without looking. 🤘🏼🔥🔥🤘🏼
I have to agree. While War Ensemble is my favorite of the 4 here, the way he looks in the cameras Seals the deal.
The best part for me is watching how easy he plays it and imagining how it took lars 708 takes to get it right in the studio, and he hasn't played it right since
@@nforcer43 boy wait till you find out how many takes Lombardo, Vinnie Weckl, and tons of others have to do to get the part just right.....Idiot
Honestly I've always love the break in Whiplash. The cymbal matching with the decending riff just does it for me.
All of them are legendary!!
Dave hands down but love all of them
$#!+.... come on... $epultura Igor Cavalera?!?!!! PanterA Vinnie Paul?!?!!!!! Classic Larz With MetallicA Whiplash?!?!?!!!! Dave's Amazing!!!...not the best IMO
When you cover all the great drummers patterns and styles, you are the Man!! 👌
Arise! Short but sweet
Dave Lombardo rules!🥁🤟
Lars’ break is the most musical
His fills usually are.
itś fucking awesome!!! yes!
Even though War Ensemble was my favourite out of this selection I have to agree with you on that.
Yup! it’s more melodic than the rest Lars, Dave ,Igore , Vinnie
Is really basic
Lombardo always my fav! Straightforward yet executed with aggression and great tone.
War ensemble!!! But Whiplash is a close second
Yep
Exactly what I said.
@@russkate88look who's here, the whining Lars fanboy
@@papai-y3i how am I a whining fanboy dumbass?
I just said that Whiplash is a close second.
@@russkate88 whining Lars fanboy
Awesome! For me it's the end of "Jellybelly" by Smashing Pumpkins. I'll never understand the speed of Jimmy Chamberlin.
Oh man! You are so right! Excellent call!
Lombardo all day 🤘
They are all great but Dave is just the master of it.
Some of my favorite drummers in one comp short… Love it!! RIP Vinnie Paul.
I have always been a huge fan of war ensemble Yess!! Exactly that fill and then when the riff flows along its f*cking phenomenal 🤘🏻🖤Thrash Metal
When Vinnie comes in you know all hell was about to break loose! That pit after that!
Nice I enjoy your drumming I played drums back when I was younger back in the 60S now I'm 72 but I really enjoy watching good drumming so THANK YOU
Igor and Dave always!!! I also love caught in a mosh!
He makes it look so easy
Every one of these tunes shaped my desire and drive to play. Especially the first 3. I ate slept and breathed PanterA, Sepultura, and Slayer back in the mid 90s when I started teaching myself.
Thats freaking awesome! Love the faces too! 😂
Dave, on War ensemble fill. This is one of my favorite Air drumming fills since It was released in the 90's
Impressionante como ele faz parecer fácil! Manda muito !!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
¡¡War Ensemble!!
Igor, a simple but awesome break!!
All of them!!! 🤘
I Digg Them All , To The Fullest But Mauricio Plays All The Bests To The Extremest Core !!!! He Goes Hard Core And F'n Extreme With The Drums !!!! Awesome Drumming ,Most Definitely !!!!!
Certamente a Arise é a mais agressiva. Top!
Arise !! 🤘🤘🤘
They're all fantastic but I'll take Lombardo's part over all of em keep slaying these parts Mauricio amazing work and footage my man
All those albums were in heavy rotation on my cd player back in high school. Great metal back then
Love them all ! 👍👍🤘🤘
The fill on the ending of lady double dealer by Deep Purple, the ending of Hurricane live by Ian Paice with Gary Moore.
That Fucking Hostile ... as soon as it begins it's over and it's just awesome.
Arise is my favorite those drums combined with the guitar riff is killer
Lombardo & Cavalera
Il mio preferito xò è Gene Hoglan
still puzzles me Anthrax could be in the big 4 when a band like sepultura exists

Brother, you are a GREAT drummer!
i like your attitude man,fun light and encouraging unlike other who are so dead seriously scary
Lombardo, but, all
Keep it up man, you're amazing !
Dave in Slayer was incredible
VINNIE in Pantera he gave his all
Something about that whiplash.
You played a million fills, and rocked them all!
War ensemble
I second this motion!!
I absolutely love all of your content!
You're doin great things man!
I prefer the drum fill from the arise.

All of them!
Sir, i can watch you playing drums all day 🔥🔥🔥
Dave for sure 👍
All iconic drum parts for their respective song's but the two that stand out for me in this selection are War Ensemble and Whiplash.
Anything from Dale Crover, Melvins.
But these ones are cool too.
Todas!! Kkk. Arise é sensacional
Las bandas y los bateros que marcaron mi infancia 💪🤘👍
I love your charisma when playing
Dave Lombardo. Also from same album as "War Ensemble": The drum break from "Temptation", just before the first verse.
PanTera just so clean and makes it sound soooo easy but ahh haa yea..not so quick 😂!! Nice Work Man!!! Clean as Air!
Lombardo. Absolutely.
As a guitarist I ❤ playing them all
Love Dave Lombardo but out of these examples it's gotta be Cavalera
all of them is great
War Ensemble... DAVE!!
the final break down for Eyeless
War ensemble. The whole song is legendary, no weak parts.
Wow, you are so good!!!! You play without looking at the instrument. Amazing!
Always loved that war ensemble break
Dude you're INSANE! Love this channel❤
The "Poke" at large everytime cracks me up. I still like Lars tho
Slaying that War Ensemble mini solo break, just looking at the camera....
Naraka by Defeated Sanity right before the bass lick solo!!!
All of them❤️🔥🤘🏼
Please! Just please 🙏🏼 never stop! 🤘🏻🥁🔥
War ensemble or whiplash, outta these 😁

Hard choice, but LOMBARDO!!!
Man, all props up to Lars for that Whiplash drum break. It is, by far, his best fill!
I think his best fills are from Blackened and The Frayed Ends of Sanity
Dude you're just awesome brother! Love all of your content
All of them
eu prefiro o Arise mas o Whiplash é um classico absoluto tambem
You are better than all them together!!! Bro if i had a drummer like you
Whiplash, Im Metallica fan And drums sounds good. 😊😅
Urlich...pura clase.
If you force me to choose... Lombardo. But all of them are fucking sweet!!
Larzin mandou bem nessa , nem melhor nem pior ,todos são lendas .
Agora mudando de assunto, que bateria linda!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
😂 this guy aha. What's your favorite drum beat.....ALL OF THEM lol
Cavalera🤘🏻
All. And YOU are the best!
👏🏽👏🏽🇧🇷👏🏽👏🏽EU GOSTARIA QUE VOCÊ FOSSE O BATERA DA MINHA BANDA!!!
VC É FODA IRMÃO!!🤘🏽🇧🇷🤘🏽
TOCA PRA CARAÍ VÉI..
PARABÉNS IRMÃO 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
All this drum breaks are awesome, but if I have to choose one I say War Ensemble
All of them obviously but Arise just a tiny bit better.
War Ensemble it's my pick. But it's my favorite Slayer song so I'm a little biased haha
How could it possibly be anything other than Dave’s fill on War Ensemble?
Todos são excelentes!
Forget the songs…that snares tone is killer
All classic!
Scattered Remnants ‘Aborted Salvation’.
The track has two, neither super technical, but the feelzzz. 🤙
Personally, Darren Cesca's break in Kevin Sherwood's Archangel blows my mind.
