Obviously you wouldn’t have planned a release show without an audience under normal circumstances, but it kind of makes for a surreal experience and will mark it for the future as part of this crazy time we’re in now.
in a way it feels like the perfect event to reflect the mood of the album
Exactly
I actually like that theirs no audience for the camera to constantly pan to. I want to see the band. Not random people in a crowd.
Murphy Davis actually deftones did exactly that with their diamond eyes album
for real the timing is unreal with this band and the current state of the world this will be looked back on in like 10 years as crazy af

I know it wasn't planned this way but the live stream performance because of a global pandemic fits so well with the themes of the album...
right?
It's perfect, gotta love their drive & determination!
The sound engineer and light guy surely enjoyed this
Kiwi hate5six on youtube. hes always uploads a bunch of killer shows like these. he has like 3 other code orange sets on his channel, check him out.
man, watching this live during the pandemic will forever be a core memory for me.
Same, super weird & uncertain time but seeing these guys make the coolest art out of a crappy situation was so inspiring. I thought for certain other bands would see what was possible & push the boundaries too...but it was mainly 2 years of uninspired Zoom performances. Long Live CO
Same... It gave me a sense of peace... knowing that introversion would serve me well...
Swallowing The Rabbit Whole has gotta be one of the most hard hitting songs I’ve heard in ages!!
IKR such a banger
I’m still impressed how fast Code Orange can put out good projects. They haven’t slowed down one bit and seem to just get even better.
Romeo WOOT Pittsburgh, baby.👍🏼
@@CodyAlushin LOL wtf? every album is worse than the one before.
@@jonathanjones7058 and what music is "good" and "bad"?

I AM KING.
Code Orange is forever.
The intro was so heavy I had to walk all the way back too Riften and clear my inventory just to listen to it.
This is a slept on comment.
I spit coffee all over my screen, ain't even mad 🤣
I have been on RUclips for many years, since the beginning. I don't comment much, I'm a simple voyeur. This has got to be the funniest comment I've come across ever. Kudos. I hollered
Somebody spilt Skyrim in my Code Orange... It can’t be good for me but I feel great!
Finally an original take on this comment. Well done.
I saw them when they toured with Deftones and they scared the shit outta me tbh. Now I love them. Best modern metal band
Not even close...
translation: "these guys are my favorite band, therefor they are the BEST band!" foh...
@@buckfuttler2877 HAHAHA FR dude, preach.
they sound more numetal than anything just a bit heavier
I think you're right lol they stand out more than a lot of new/modern heavy music. They set themselves apart, and no one has their stage presence and energy. They remind me of the first time I listened to Slipknot in 2003. A band that was unmatched in presence.
The fact that they did this is so awsome of them.
New drummer is crushing it, awesome addition to the band.
Jami still does the drums in studio, he's just a live drummer.
Nah he’s a full member
Nice PFP! NJ should be getting way more recognition at this stage of their career..
@@kurthaywood9672 nope he's a (for now) temporary live drummer hence being unidentified and the mask. roadrunner made them get a live drummer for shows
@@matthewrodriguez3320 you know for a fact he's a temporary drummer? Got a link for that

I have lost count of how many times I have watched this show during quarantine, best metal album I've listened to in years
Oh yeah, they’re singing the harmonies on Bleeding in the Blur. I love this new lineup!
Always respect for Code Orange. Been super awesome every time I’ve played with them. Jami told me last year that this new album would be very different. I’m so glad that his idea of different is my idea of beautiful and innovative for the heavy music scene. Hoping this band genuinely goes down as legends in some ways. Respect. 👊🏽
Damn everyone in this band took a step up!!! Reba is the mvp tho!
Man when she jumped in on Corey Taylor's part 😍😍😍😍
@NEKKRON Yeah bud, really simpy to highlight the best part of the band.
Wait is Corey Taylor on stage or they did a Slipknot song? I was going to say something about hearing reminders of (sic) and Eyeless but I am new to Code Orange and was reluctant to engage in the possibly bad habit of spraying graffiti of my own personal musical experience trajectory all over right off the bat
@@umpireofthefenceless3520 Corey Taylor did a song with them.(The Hunt)
@@umpireofthefenceless3520 to elaborate on the other reply
Code Orange have an EP called
"The Hurt Will Go On", which has a song featuring Corey Taylor, called The Hunt, however he hasn't had a chance to sing it live with them, though Reba takes over his part when they do play it.

Rebas growls on The Hunt saved me from this quarantine
You still saved?? 😢
@@Bookofeli_rmro yep
Reba’s vocals are amazing
her everything is amazing imho
Reba fucking rocks hard as fuck!
She is an ultimate badass
Yeah Reba's vocals are great, especially her ability to go low on unclean vocals, and her guitarplay keeps getting better. Even back when they were making hardcore demos as teens she'd play bass fills and play bass like a guitar. Reba's an immense instrumental talent and wish she'd show off a little more. Thank goodness for Dom getting her into metal and soloing.
Spin kicked my cat right in the chops to this in the living room pit.
def the cats fault. you get in the pit you know what you`re in for :D

This is criminally under-viewed.
Code Orange blazing the trail with this stream. Expect to see many artists copying this format in the near future!
makes sense, if people are gonna put it on youtube, it may as well be them, then theyll get some small revenue as well.
i sure hope not
I've already seen it happening!
Dropkick Murphys streamed a show too.
And well Matt Heafy from Trivium streams every single Trivium show on tour...
We had a Finnish band do a streamed show for an empty hall before Code Orange did that... So they at least invented nothing. But surely made it bigger and better than many(most)

No way, maybe because he's balled haha. Dudes skinny af.
Suplex city bitch!
William Joseph «B.J.» Blazkowicz, I would say, lol.
This is like the first time a listened to PANTERA. Something different.
For me it was SEPULTURA. Back in the 90's sepultura brought their own style with tribal Brazilian groove elements and they influenced almost every new band that emerged after their album Roots like Slipknot, gojira and so many others. Now code orange in my opinion is doing the same with their own style.
Code Orange and Alien Weaponry are my two favorite metal bands right now
Mati bro!its so great when it’s different but breaks you fucking neck!!!!
80s sci-ficore featuring Rutger Hauer on bass.
This is easily one of the best live recordings I have ever had the pleasure to watch. The lack of a cheering crowd lets you enjoy every note and nuance of their performance; like they're playing just for you. Stay healthy everyone.
This whole concept is pretty cool, capitalizing on what's important in metal, performance.
Watching this again instantly takes me back to the day they streamed this. The combination of the weird circumstances and just how increbile this show was makes it something I'll never forget. Probably one of the first things I'll remember when I think of this pandemic lmao
I've really enjoyed watching their evolution as a band.
Support code orange everyone, buy some merch and definitely buy the new record. Our friends can use all the help they can get in these bizarre times.
Code orange forever 🖤
Ron BlackHeart THEY ARE PROBABLY IN BETTER SHAPE FINANCIALLY THAN MOST PEOPLE WITH REGULAR JOBS. PEOPLE NEED TO BE SMART WITH THEIR MONEY DURING THESE “BIZARRE TIMES” TO DO THINGS LIKE BUY GROCERIES AND NECESSITIES NOT SOME FUCKING BAND MERCH

Music si part of my health and these guys are part of my therapy...just bought this record!
If these guys and Clipping went on tour together, that would be....incredible.
Code Orange is one of the most legendary bands to ever grace a stage.
4:45 I thought I saw corey taylor jumping of a building.
with all the new members and the shift towards a more theatrical, industrial metalcore sound, these guys really have ended up being the Slipknot of their generation, and i can’t help but fuck with it
Shit I just started listening to these guys (big shout out to Fantano for putting me onto them) and that comparison to slipknot is great. Feels like I'm 13 rediscovering metalcore all over again.
I see it more of a metalcore nine inch nails, which isnt a bad thing imo
@@cjhenline Idk why he always praises LITERALLY only them and Converge in the genre. I love Converge but still not won over by these guys. I think Jami's vocal style gets very boring and monotonous and the random breaks don't help at all for the listening experience.
Aside from the drummer, who else was new?
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 for me personally, it's like a breath of fresh air. I love that nothing about the album was routine when you look at contemporaries. Very enjoyable fusion of nu-metal, metalcore, alternative rock from the early to mid 00's, and industrial electronics. While random breaks were throwing me for a loop on first listen, I didnt find the vocals to get stale at any point.
I've been waiting for a band like this my whole life. Can't wait to see this show in person.
I would buy this on BluRay and digital to support the band of the live performance. Heck, I’d even buy this as a live album of this on physical media. 🖤🙏
I'll take a DVD please.
As an old metalhead (came up in the 90s) I fucking LOVE the sound Code Orange has perfected. They're not the first band to meld metalcore and industrial, but they've made it unapologetically and uniquely their own. They've made theit own formula, and the creations they put out as result is bold and brutal.
i'm pretty sure Harm's Way did it first
@@RibeiroGames12 still, if they didn’t create it, they definitely revolutionized it

Okay Code Orange, you got me. I'm in! This new album is a masterpiece!
I must say I was impressed watching this live, not just by the music but by the production quality overall. It's a really nice mix for a stream, and the visual fx are sweet too.
that “GET FUCKED” @22:30 was so perfectly timed with everything else
I have nothing else to destroy in my room and I'm only halfway through the show!
Jami has the energy to be a front man and not just sit behind the drumset. Good for him.
I love code orange so much. They always prioritize their fans and make sure they have the most amazing experience possible while having a kick ass time themselves. Mad respect
Code Orange over here ahead of the curve releasing a full live set on the internet for everyone stuck at home 👍🏻
Omg I remember being at this show !!! I were in my living room on the sofa with my headphones on the atmosphere was so unreal. The band members even told me something so inspirational woaw

I keep coming back to this! Shit like this reminds me I’m still alive in these weird times!🤘🏻
Amazing. . And first time hearing you guys ... new fan
This gave me a mad max vibe what they’re doing here. I could see them still thrashing through a zombie apocalypse
Still don’t understand why they didn’t play you and you alone. The end of that song makes me wanna run through drywall
This is killing me 😂😂
Metal ain't dead code orange forever
Not only did I enjoy this concert, but my neighbors did as well! Without a choice!
One of the best bands out right now! Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see them live.
Code orange and vein both started as hardcore bands and are easily some of the best bands in metal just now
Ross Paterson honestly tho.
Never saw the live till today... It's just fantastic the way they got fun !
I'm moshing in my room rn lmao
Same 😆
I’m about to call my only close friends over and just beat the shit out of them.
ok moshe
Dude it's 4:50am and I'm head banging.
Powerful as hell! Makes me shiver when Jami at the end of his monologue screams "I AM KING"!
this is definitely the future!
Thank you guys for making this. It’s means a lot to us to. It shows we aren’t alone in this mess. As soon as you guys play a show with in a 100 miles of me I’m there. Code Orange is forever 🖤🤘💪
the "c'mon Reba show 'em" at 15:57 is really cool to hear! This is the soundtrack of the modern disaster we live in! Also Jami is great frontman really refreshing to see him, remind me of Trent Reznor! That drummer from Thirty nights of violence is insane plus!
This video should have a million views at least. Amazing show and amazing album. Congratulations Code Orange.
Nostálgico e inovador ao mesmo tempo, parece uma banda do fim dos anos 90 só que nos dias atuais
Knotfest 10/26/21 was a blast. Truly appreciated all of the bands that played there.
Q: will the new merch be over at impericon or any other seller of that kind for the european fans? would def pick a lot of stuff up but the shipping to europe hurts
Just order from Loathe's merch store directly. Shipping from the UK ain't that expensive.
@@TheMightyPeppermintor bro it's like £15 shipping on a £20 shirt if you get it sent from the US. I don't know what world you live in but for most people that's a lot

Where's the time stamp guy?
Unlimited potential here. Let's hope the band stays tight.
you guys are the best band in the world right now, thanks for constantly pushing boundaries and creating musical masterpieces!
I've been keeping an eye on Code Orange since first seeing them three years ago at Boston HOB. They finally hooked me with this album and release performance. Pulls all my likes together: heavy sound and imagery, horror/sci fi theme, nod to my favorite band NIN. Love.
Code Orange é o futuro da música como instrumento de liberdade e autenticidade, Underneath tá sendo a trilha sonora da minha quarentena
Muito bom
Um dos melhores lançamentos do metal em 2020.
I speak spanish and understood perfectly. And I agree with you.
Seems to be the natural evolution of hardcore….heavy as fuck, incredibly tight and noisy as hell. No prisoners.
The live show must be brutal.
I love Eric growls soooo much
amazing job. Milestone in heavy music history, for sure.
Long Live the TOTH
Saw them when they opened for Meshuggah. Holy fuck they blew my mind. Happy to have this live video.
Is it just me or do they get more and more perfect live (except for the livemix in this case)?
watch with good speakers / headphones, live mix sounds amazing I think, most live mixes of heavy bands dont sound this good
@@justinscala16 I did. Vocals for example, were way too loud.
Yeah, it's kind kind of a shame given it's such a great performance
Just an iconic moment in hardcore/metal history tbh. this will be remembered. TOTH
would you guys say that you made this album with the intent of leaving some lasting impact on hardcore? like inspiring more artists to merge the genre with electronic sounds w/o feeling uncomfortable about it, as if they’d be judged by “elitists” or “oldheads”?
Metalcore baby
They definitely did it intentionally trying to push boundaries. And they achieved that.
Whoa bro that’s deep. I thought they were just making music
LOVE the new album. Love the experimentation. Grayson Currin grumpy old man at Pitchfork gave it a shit review saying it was "dull" - ya'll should go show him some love lol
Who cares about judgement of anyone 😅
Finally got to listening to the whole album whilst at the gym yesterday... this band is pure FIRE!!
Things I Like about them
- Love the rythm changes in their song, makes all their songs engaging, their songs are so effing groovy
- Lyrical themes, I love how the album is introspective of what is going on in society but also how they link it back to the individual
- they don't shout the whole album through, there are some good singing parts
- they truly sound different, not trying to sound like what sells but sound like what they actually want to play
I feel bad for whoever will come across the band for the first time via this video, this show does not do this album justice sound wise. The album is a huge eargasm, one good thing from 2020 so far.
I am sad though that they didn't play my favorite song in the album You and You Alone... sigh
24:06
Is that dashie lmfao
Wasnt able to catch it live but.. watching now. Amazing!!
44:09 forever
This production was incredible. No other band is doing anything like this right now. Bought the Revolver magazine with them on the cover to support them during this pandemic. I'll be heading to their website to buy some merch to further support their efforts.
special thanks to Ethan Young for showing up Jami on the drums
Would have been interesting to have Chris Vrenna

Finally someone not insisting it’s the dude from Gojira
Two songs in and I already think this is the greatest live performance in the history of hardcore and metal! Holy fuck!!!!!
They are the future
Agree. Hard working band who have a future mindset. This is gold.
Things like this. Even in pandemic the music world rolls and the creativity and art keeps going. Keeps our heads up. Much love from Louisiana
Sorry i'm not up to date: who is playing the drums if the singer is not sitting behind his drum kit anymore?
I would like to know this too
LMGTFY: Ethan Young from Thirty Nights of Violence.
@@lukawalli FUCK YEAH, I was thinking about this and paused the video everytime his tattoos were shown so I could prove this
wow. Just wow. I cant stop watching this. These guys are incredible. This is what talent and hard work do when you combine it correctly.
I'll be honest I didn't like the studio recording of this that much. Its a really good album but so much more brutal live. Theres very little dead air all the static and atmosphere of this show truly was great.
Yeah, Cold Metal Place sounded so much better live with the untreated guitar lead in the early verse section and the much clearer pinch harmonic section in the second half.
The future is here
