If this song came out in the early 90's, it would be all over the radio. It incorporates that grunge sound so effortlessly in the rest of their catalog. I want more vocals from Reba, please!

I love this band. I like all the members . I wouldn't be a fan to the extent i am without Reba. She drew me in and did not disapoint. Actually now i think of it i read somewhere she was suppose to be the main front person but through trial and error and lots of gigging she kind of took a more periferal position. I agree she's the shit. So I'll always be ready for more Reba.
Also. I get your reference to the 90s and agree. Although I do believe that if anyone can make heavy rock mainstream again it's these motherfuckers. Fuck the 90's CO gonna claim this decade.

The drums actually have some weight to them. A lot of heavy music nowadays has drums that sound like someone tapping a pencil on a textbook but not this one

My favourite Code Orange's song and one of my metal most loved of all times!! Reba killed in this song, what a masterpiece, there's all there, the lyrics, the riffs, the groove. That initial riff is one of my favourites, remind me so much of early 90's grunge!

I had bought "swallowing the rabbit whole" and "forever" in 24bit and was really really into STRH. After seeing them with Slipknot in Phoenix I was sold so Christmas eve I was out driving Uber and it was crazy busy and pouring rain. While driving back to the airport this song came on... holy shit, it just resonated. I sat in the car and purposefully didn't take a ride so I could listen to it 4 times over, absolutely blown away.
As crazy as it might sound, I predict this song will get the band a Grammy nomination. This song kicks so much ass!!!!!

ok, i am 40 now. i listened to quite a lot of music in my life. contemporary music often bores me because it is dominated by wannabes who try really hard to be the best, the hardest, the coolest.and they all fail. and now i simply have to commentate this song. the way reba sings this piece of art is simply unique. she should do all the vocals of this band. so outstanding. such a relief to find someone who reaches her/his goal by just being good. thumbs up.

I love the fact NXT promotes young rock bands. It's solely because I watch NXT that I even know who this band is. And that's the whole point of having your music featured on programming. To get more exposure. After listening to a few songs though I think I like Reba singing over the drummer. Could barely hear him on the other ones, but maybe that's an element of this genre that I'm learning more about. The band is great

Just found this band today by coincidence, because any band this good can never be considered an accident! Reba's equally a badass vocally & guitar-wise. Helps that I find her attractive, but that doesn't distract from her & the band's talent! Awesome tune!

I hated Underneath at first, it felt so much more complicated than Forever... Then it grew on me a few months later, I now consider it a masterpiece.
Same thing for the last Tool album. They have something in common: strong 90's 00's vibe yet super intricate.

Robert Kinoy Alice in Chains is built off of simplicity in their instrument roles and dense vocal harmonies. They have characteristic harmonies in fourths and descending chromatic lead and rhythm melodies. This is very reminiscent of that.

Steven Veronikis That's his edgy-ness seeping thru.. that ignorant mindset of it needs technicality and to be non generic sounding to be good. While I do agree in some way since many bands turn to shit cause they strayed from what made them unique.. but I give mad props to these guys to keep it fresh in genres and styles that have been around a while. Been listening to AiC basically since I existed since my dad would play Facelift (amongst their others) since I was born a year before it in 89 and that's what attracted me to these guys when I first heard em cause there's def similarities, especially with their newer material the past few years.

This is indeed similar influences for me, halfway between the spirit of "Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness" & sound production of "Machina - The Machines of God."
That said, it is only my point of view.
And I understand how it could be difficult to imagine the sound of #smashingpumpkins without the voice of #billycorgan.
Which in my opinion cleaves our respective ways of thinking.
