You as well, sir!
I don't think you need to say tribute when talking about Rex because he was a true member of the real band. Just my silly little opinion.
Awesome opening lick!!!
Awesome you managed to fit a little cool solo in there with your awesome riffs 😀🤘🤘🤘
Buckethead put out 3 more albums while I was writing this comment. Lol. Seriously though, check out Flare, Disintegration Mirrors, Project Little Man, or The Ghosts of Broken Eggs for some tasty nuggets. All jam, no beaks or feet. Buckethead 4ever!
I love Ola because he has the charisma of a drunk person (the jovial kind, not the obnoxious ones) while being sober.
This is the greatest comment.
It's from all the chugging. Except Ola is not chugging beer, he's chugging riffs.
You nailed it!
WELL PLAYED, SIR/MADAM! One of the most perfectly accurate descriptions I have read in a very long time. About anything XD
No such thing, you must be getting your perception of drunks from television.
Ola here is an idea! Since all the RUclipsrs do a Shred Colab each year, why don't you do a Chug Colab! No leads allowed! Just bone crushing riffs!
This!
How many guys can chug on 2 string rally 🤣🤣🤣
Yes!
Great idea!
Yeah!!! But can anyone else compare with ola in chuging? Meshuggah?
Great Intro jam!! VERY PANTERA-ish!! Save that one and make a full song out of it, please!!!
I'm just glad to see Master Of Puppets getting Enter Sandman levels of attention. That album was the first thing I ever heard from Metallica. A radio station near me had the balls to play the entire album during prime time (8pm-ish) when Cliff died.
Master of Puppets always got heaps of attention, what do you mean?
@@vladv5126 I meant more in terms of being on mainstream platforms catering to casual music listeners that aren't fans in any capacity. First Stranger Things and now Fortnite. Yes, M.O.P. is a mainstay on the setlist and one of their more popular songs, but, as far as I know, it didn't have a strong showing on the pop charts till recently.
Your local rock station has been doing Mandatory Metallica for 25 years, playing large chunks of the catalogue. If anything, this music is all wildly overexposed and overrated.
All the local rock stations have mandatory metallica. Get real bro
@@colinburroughs9871 overexposed tes but not overrated mop is a masterpiece
People seem to forget that Lars played on some of the best, most respected, most influential Thrash/Metal albums ever recorded (not to mention co-writing most of them). All before there was such a thing as quantizing and digital editing. Much respect for to him.
Lol
😂
Ha. Uh huh.
You might wanna doublecheck that "no editing" part.
um... Justice is legendary for the editing on it. Apparently the drum tapes are so heavily edited, folks are scared to go and remaster it properly.
Great show Ola that was awesome and great riff at the start as well. I can't wait to do something to those drums later on 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I hope you all have a great week everyone and I'll see some of you at the Swola Contenders Livestream tomorrow 🙂
BADASS RIFFS OLA! My fav in a long time. Great show too. Merry Christmas & have a super New Year!
Thanks so much for answering my question, Ola! Been sick for a whole week so this really cheered me up :D
Im digging my Sun morning routine lately. Wake N Bake with Ola.🥴 Then cook breakfast, head to the shop for a couple hrs and make it back home for football .
Thanks, Ola \m/ \m/
I can answer that. Bucket head rocks!!! Wish we can meet him one day. I was reading a few months ago that he was having some heart issues and he was concerned about playing live. We love you Buckethead! Hang in there brother 🎸
Loved the opening riff, new song with that! Cheers Ola! 🤘
You always come up with some sickass riffs. Thx again great SWOLA
Wow! That intro riff is SIIICCCKKK!! I'd love to hear a whole song with that idea, 😁🤘🏼
Buckethead is my favorite musician, who inspired me to play guitar. It's great to see him mentioned here!
I love those riffs you played at the beginning a lot!!🤘🏻🤘🏻
Glad you got my favourite type Solar guitar out again - I missed that glorious red&gold beauty ❤️🤘
Absolutely monstrous riffs too, at the intro!!!!
Bad ass riff Ola,!! especially the beginning ..hell yea!
"Seed of Filth" was my first favourite song of the "Six Feet Under". I started to listen to this band because of this song. After ~10 years I found you as a very cool metal blogger, followed you, and see that you're a guitarist of the Six Feet Under and just "wow! 🤯". I didn't expect that! After all that bloggers like Jared Dines, Rob Scallon etc I see a real professional metal musician as a blogger and it blows my mind and inspires me a lot.
And now I see you playing my favourite riffs in this video, and not because you just like it but because you're a part of this band...
Oh, Ola, thank you so much for all.
I got myself a MTM2, with the V7/V8, and after something like 10+ years it still is one of my favourite guitar to play. Extremly versatile and confortable!
Excellent riffs this morning!
Love hearing you shred 🙌, keep it up mate
That opening riff was a heavy groove Ola!
The Fortnite part was wholesome, I bet Ola's son will remember it years later and be happy about the good memories.
About Chimaira, I'll kick myself forever because they played here (ironically enough, in Brazil) with Born of Osiris years ago. I can't believe I lost it.
Damn that red/gold Solar always gets me 😍 I wish I could try one to see if I'd like it!
Incredible intro. Who knows where it could go from here!
I was happy to hear the Seed of Filth riff from Six Feet Under! Nice sound of guitar!
Daum, this opening riff challenge is dope!
That riff in the beginning was badass Ola!
Thanks, still recovering from surgery. My 1st guitar is sitting in the box next to a brand new boss katana, been sitting there since August but I had to get thru surgery, couldn't hold the thing with a marble sized kidney stone LOL!! 2023 will be a better year.
I super look forward to the Sunday wifff Ola show every week. Ola is the best
"And also, he is like the closest we can get to a chris cornell voice today" - I absolutely agree this THIS!
love you man , great content have a nice weekend !!!
That picking hand of Ola is absolutely filthy in the best way!
Yes it’s ok to continue to do reaction videos of Pantera “Tribute”. Watching you, watch them, got me excited enough to buy tickets to their show with Metallica in St Louis next year.
Today's question asker's voice reminded me of Professor Denzil Dexter from the Fast Show!
Thanks for the rememberry!
Ola my brother your.reaction video.was.like hanging with an old friend. you played guitar and cracked jokes it reminded me of being a young guy just caring about pantera and metal and guitar. keep making them man you have a great personality and a genius.
very cool riff in the intro track.....
I saw Chimaira play at The Cockpit, Leeds, UK, when they toured the album ‘The Age of Hell’, and I have to say it was an incredible show. Brutal, heavy, tight. It was epic! Great band.🤘🏻😎
I'm spoiled, I grew up in the Cleveland music scene, a Chimaira show was just another weekend back then. The scene was GREAT then too. Tons of great local bands.
@@DudeMcGuybro there are a lot of great metal bands in Ohio period if you ask me.
I'm from Northern Kentucky and know of quite a few awesome bands from your area and mine
Decrepit, From the Depths, Dominous ( I believe that's how they spelled it) Estuary Of Calamity ( now just Estuary),
FaithXtractor, and at one point Incantation....that was just to name a few, there are many, many other awesome metal bands in Ohio!!!
Best intro jam in a while. I’m definitely stealing a few of those little galloping motifs
The sheer nastiness of that opening riff. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The Space Baby Song... ✨🚀👶💩🌌✨
-
That intro was like Pantera meets Clawfinger, at Dave Mustaines house.
While, John Petrucci hijacks the coffee pot.
I saw chimera open for danzig years ago, was pretty cool
The intro riffs when he sings or talks over his playing is like if Frank Zappa went metal
raspect to rex for trying to keep his crew and bandmates healthy
That intro was SICK
One of your best intro.....it's great !!!
Omg Chimera hell yes, love those guys wish they were still making albums
I just got back from seeing Cattle Decapitation, Obituary, Carcass, and Amon Amarth. Now it's SWOLA time! \m/
Awesome intro riff! Vamos Argentina!!!
Another entertaining show Ola, thank you !
*Haha I remember Weird Al did a parody song "White and Nerdy" maybe Petrucci can cover it xD*
I'd absolutely love to play that opening that was sick
I Fucking LOVE this intro song. lost count of how many times I've listened to it
It's 4:00 am in Alabama. Morning, Ola.
No better way than starting the day off with "Sunday with Ola."
Normal Parents: "I don't like when my Kid plays all these violent video games. I don't think it's good for him. My Kid should do something more useful with his time.
Ola Englund:" I'm tired of my Kids playing buildingblox all day. I'm trying to get them into shooting games" 😂
Also: That intro had as well Pantera as Metallica vibes. Good job!
The nicest person. Favorite part of Sunday morning, yes. 🤘🏻🫠
God bless Ola. Woke up feeling like 💩 but soon as I put on SWOLA, that frown turned upside down 🤘🏼
Someone needs to invent Wah Wah Sneakers or Whammy Shoes!
I would sand off the paint on the neck of that Ibanez MTM! Cheers from Montreal!
siiick riffs Ola!!
Kiss were using analog quantisizing back in the day. They utilized studio musicians most of the way, and just sang afterwards. I haven't heard anyone complaining about that.
I made the floating trem on my Ibanez RG220B a fixed bridge, just shoved a block of wood behind the trem block, now I can use it for weird tunings, and the locking nut fits any size strings (currently using Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings and tuned to BEADF#B).
That Solar looks absolutely stunning!!!
The wavey sound is called Artificating I believe. I use the track separation all the time to feel like Dime.
> Ola: i hate this clickbait articles on fb
> upload clickbait video on yt
luv u man
Intro song reminded me of Dime so much at the start!!
sick intro. really nice
Season's Greeting Ola just ordered 2 shirts and a couple of digital downloads. Keep up making content that is informative and entertaining.
Cool, I also have a Mick Thomson signature. Just Wish I could Play it like Ola.
I loved Lars drum track to elevator jazz ❤
great video
I've seen Chimaira many times, including the stand alone 2017 Chimaira Christmas gig. Chimaira in their home town of Cleveland at The Agora is just top notch. I highly recommend making it to one of these gigs if you can. New Rob Arnold solo record that just dropped is solid too.
Ola, you gotta show when Zakk Wylde goes on stage before the show with his Ultimate Warrior figurine! It's friggen hilarious!
Ola. One of if not the best opening riffs you’ve done in yonks.
Luv ya bro.
Say g’day to Louise for me and I wish you a warm Christmas.
Although if you have a warm Christmas then santas reindeers will be pests in forests down here 😂🤣🤘💕💕
Holy Moly that Red guitar is BEAUTIFUL MAN!!!!!!!!! Not usually into gold hardware but holy smokes that thing is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bullsjit! You are THE most reliable source on RUclips.
Beautiful guitar.
lit man. 🔥
Very Pantera jam at the intro. Dig it!Getcha pull!
Man, I sold my MTM2 years ago, and I really regret it! I loved that guitar!
Coffee with Buckethead, please
I also have an MTM2. Changed the pick ups for the Seymour Duncan Blackouts just like the high spec version. A lot better.
Nice to see Grady smiling!!!!
Amazing intro!
Ola , I asked for the Starzinger Ultimate Edition for my Birthday January 4rth . Super excited for that .
I love the reaction videos. More please
All hail Ola's new tics: the knee clap.
Gotta love the "Diaper Naked Space Babies" intro...
love the solar guitar you where playing in the beginning of the video does solar make a stop tail version of that guitar?
That intro music you was playing was so sic. Is that your own music that you've previously wrote, or something you wrote kinda at the last minute? Whichever one, man it was dope. Your awesome
Come get some! Felt some Duke Nukem vibes there towards the end \m/ I love these intros!
Had the MTM myself and i had a neck issue, too. The Reversed headstock looked so cool and everything, but even for me as a small guy (1m65), the neck was just way too thin.
DAT INTRO THO🎉
One of my earliest guitars when I was 16-17 years old was an Ibanez RG2EX1 it had the V8/V7 pickups which were surprisingly very good for high gain. One of the best cheap pickups out there along with the Dragonfire pickups.
I think those are made by dimarzio, and well above that "designed by Duncan" type pickups.
If you don't like the glossy finish of painted necks, you can use some very fine sand paper and sand it down a bit - just barely ... it gets rid of the gloss and makes it feel more like a satin finish.
hell yes, finally somebody acknowledges Richie Kotzen holding down some Chris Cornell level awesomeness
That intro tone is orgasmic 🤯
Saw the ibanez headstock and thought you were pulling out a xiphos to segue into finally releasing the solar x type!
Which monitor are you using these days?
Awesome video as always, and AWESOME swola riff
Was that mr bungle covering slayer? Hell yea dude.
