I color with my granddaughter on poster paper that covers the dining room table. She’s 20 months and we spend hours doing it. I’ll be getting some of the new colors.
I loved coloring when I was a kid when I was a teen and when I became a mom. Now I'm a mom and a grandma and I still love to color. It's just a better quality and so neat to do. Thanks for so many learning curves. Enjoy just sitting here and coloring with my pencils alcohol inks and any other items that lays down color.
I remember using Crayola crayons- the twistable pencils and crayons were my favorites. Especially as how bright ans fun the twistable-pencils were, since I had the 18 set. I still use pencils, even if not Crayola.
absolutely used crayons. I remember my mother coloring with us kids, she had her own box of crayons we had ours. I colored with my nieces and grandson, They still remember that.
Used to use crayons as a kid! Use pens, pencils & gels these days. All the books I have got; I always get bleed through even with a piece of card between the pages. Peter Rabbit book has good paper no bleed through. Thanks for all your videos very helpful. Good to watch on wet day in England.
Hi Jennifer, It looks to me like this set is almost a pastel set. I am not a Crayola expert either, but these colors might be a good set for layering with other sets. One thing I have done with the original large Crayola crayon set is use a bristol paper and some OMS solvent to blend. It was tricky, but achievable if you can get past the waxy coating. Like you have mentioned before, to challenge ourselves is a good thing. Thank you Jennifer and Steve for all of your tutorials and hard work.

I have a few old sets of Crayolas along with some commemorative tins but I don't currently use crayons much. I recently gifted some of my Crayolas to a kids' art program. I probably will not purchase the new ones since watercolors and colored pencils are my current passion. However, I like to be in the know about new products and you provided very good information. When I was little, my treasure was my 64 box of crayons which I always set up opened any time I wanted to draw or color. That was to look at and smell, not to use. The crayons that I used were the broken, paperless ones in the old fruitcake tin. I mostly liked to color using the sides of the crayons, and broke them into the right size pieces. Then before I started, I had to scribble first on some newspaper to clean off the crayon piece and identify the color.
Enjoy your channel so much and love watching you color. I colored with crayola crayons as a kid and they had much more pigment to them. The ones available now seem too waxy. So disappointing!!! And I was a “solid” heavy colorer and kept in the lines. I guess I colored a lot because my dad nicknamed me finger o’dell. 😊. My favorite color was and still is periwinkle.

I'm having trouble finding the Crayola color chart downloadable pages on their site 😅, as for your review I got the Kindness crayons a while ago but I haven't had the heart to use them so I'll probably buy another box and use those instead, I heard they also came up with a set of 12 colored pencils but I have not have luck finding them in store so I may have to order those online. And yeah we have grown spoiled using good paper for markers and pencils and crayons, wish they at least used a 90-100lb paper for kids coloring books, could withstand more but I guess it would also add to the cost. I'm rambling now but I enjoy watching your in-depth reviews and seeing how you color. I prefer doing solid colors over gradients but I'll probably do more eventually getting out of my comfort zone with different illustrations, anyhow, thank you for your video and I hope you have a nice day 💜.
Crayola also has the Kindness set of colored pencils. There is only 12 colors in the set, wish the set had 24 colors same as the crayons. Would love to see you demonstrate the colored pencils too.😊
I love the new colors and overall the whole new sets that you showed. Your color page is nice. I can't color too well with crayons so decided to not collect them when I tried to color with the glitter and couldn't color nicely. But I may try the others now. 😅
What you could have done is take a scan of a Color of Kindness Page in the Coloring Book, and then take the scan and put it on your good paper and print it out so it would be on good paper and you wouldn' t ruin the coloring book. Just a thought

I feel that as these products, the wax crayons and colouring book illustrations especially, are aimed at very young children, both would provide hours of fun. There's no way that I'd give any pre-schooler a marker pen (washable or not, ha ha) so bleed-through wouldn't be a problem. For under $5 for the set, Crayola have done a good job. 🙂

I thought these actually weren't new colors, just old colors with new names? Someone showed them with labels that showed both the theme name for the set along with the normal name.

I'm low-key saddened every time you mention paper cause with where I live the shipping costs puts your sites paper out of my affordability, and even when I found overpriced imported Springhill on Amazon, they won't ship it to me in Norn Ireland! So far the only ream I can get is cartridge paper
Just adding I'm in no way blaming you! It's just a little bitter sweet seeing affordable good paper but not in my region specifically. Ohuhu also won't ship markers to me here either so I had to get touchnew ones of aliexpress

Springhill, Hammermill the Accent Opaque Smooth which is the mixed medium, they are not expensive papers,also the watercolor paper,but they sell them fir a much higher price. I wanted to buy from them but first I researched them and thats how I find out. Actually everything they sell it very expensive, they want us to believe that they are doing us a favor and with the giveaways,but those who are at the highest level membership,the $15 a month,they pay for all of that. Its not right. Now, I’m in the US so I can order from Amazon here,but I want to ask you being in N. Ireland you can’t order from the UK Amazon,they won’t ship to you? If they don’t have the same brand papers, maybe you can research best paper for Colored Pencils, Watercolor, Markers and so forth, I don’t know what medium you work in. These new colors look awesome! I found an 8 crayon set at the Dollar Tree but haven’t found any of the other stuff anywhere 🥲 I prefer markers and colored pencils to crayons but am now glad I picked up at least one of the 8 packs because it seems like these were a very limited release

Couldn't always afford to have crayola. But boy did I love them. I have oodles of Crayola's now!!lol

A 53-year-old born in the Netherlands here. We used Talens crayons mostly. Later came the long, thin, hollow Bic crayons, which I still buy today!

I didn’t think the quality of the k o kindness pencil set was great, though I might pencil snob.
In Poland crayons that every kid has in shool are Bambino 😊😺 thease ones made from clay 🙂

You call it "under pigmented" I call it pastel. I love the pastel look. You could always darken the pigment with a second layer of same color.

Awesome swatch book, Volume 3. I know I would be more inspired to use a swatch book with shapes. I love the key page. Way to go guys.
