And honestly I’d buy it as a tiny outlet for myself, as we adults tend to get bogged down with complexities and perfection when it comes to art but this lets you get back to your roots of just having fun with art.*

I honestly think the play-doh calender would have been saved if they put the the larger projects at the end of the calendar, and the goal was like to make one or two ornaments or accessories a day with each little mold. like you make one angel, you make one bell, you make one little train, and then midway through you get to make rudolph, so you know you have to save stuff to keep going, and then at the very end you can make the snow man and decorate the tree. a little more thought going into that and it would have knocked it out of the park, I think! *

Actually, advent calendars don't have 24 doors because the 25th is Christmas, advent calendars typically have 24 doors because they are a German invention and we celebrate Christmas on the 24th! 😂 That's also why the 24th door is usually a bigger thing, because it's one of your presents!
The reason I love your channel is your not totally serious about art and overly intense, like some artists on other channels. It's lighthearted and fun, rather than overbearing and serious. The information you give is always relevant and honest, not fake or because a company has given you a product so you have to be nice about it. Plus, it's always fun and entertaining watching your videos, as if a minor disaster is coming and we are all just waiting for the punchline.

The crayola was quite cute. There are cheap brushes that aren't so bad so it feels almost purposeful Crayola sticks to that shedding stiff brush despite complaints. Giving kids one playdough color per day would be such a disaster *

The crayola was quite cute. There are cheap brushes that aren't so bad so it feels almost purposeful Crayola sticks to that shedding stiff brush despite complaints. Giving kids one playdough color per day would be such a disaster *
My little nephew is autistic and loves to color and draw! It’s one of the things that bonds us together as I love to draw as well. I’ve already gotten his presents but this will be the best way to build up the excitement for Christmas Day (his favorite holiday)! I think it was endearing to hear Bob's voice again now that he has passed. The calendar really spoke to me as a painter and Bob Ross admirer. Including Peapod, the squirrel he had, was so sweet. This man was up there with Mr. Rodgers in my book. Minus the substance abuse. TV persona only.

I love how excited you were opening the calendars! I agree that the Crayola one was the best because of all the clever activities and the inclusion of special crayons! I like the play-doh one, too, but agree they could have gone with more colors. Love the little molds! It would have been great if the box could have been turned into some sort of tool storage, or if a storage thing could be day 25. The Bob Ross calendar was cute for a fan, but I agree they should have included the recipes! Or have some mini paints and canvas... Sad about how his name is being used for profit without his family getting anything. Thanks for doing this video!

I don’t get to be with my family for Christmas this year so I contemplate getting an adventure calendar or some nicer art supplies to treat myself and create some art for when I see them again.
