  • It's typically not a surprise when large projects come in behind schedule and over budget. However, the 'new' modified Boeing 747-8i Air Force One aircraft (designated VC-25Bs) takes this trend to another level. Responsible for seeing the project to completion for the United States Air Force (USAF), Boeing recently reported further losses on this fixed-cost contract.

100% correct. Fixed cost is the only way to go now. Hold the CEO and management accountable for the losses incurred. Boeing's lost more money and goodwill from the 737 Max fiasco than they'll ever lose from the Air Force One contract.

All defense contractors stick it to the taxpayers. They own the vast majority of our elected representatives. That’s why the Congress ALWAYS authorizes higher defense spending budgets than the President or the Pentagon even request! It reeks of corruption. To top it all off, the Congress hasn’t declared war since WWII, and Washington has been involved in many, many wars. Why impose any accountability when it can be avoided? They’re crooks!
