Yeah, the good news is called a writers strike that began on May 2nd. Coupled with the Actor strike that began July 18. Add on to that the media buyers Amazon, Disney, Apple have shut down production it creates the perfect storm for live content (I.E. Sports) has begun and is now valued at a premium. Layer in that Bob Iger is talking his book and wants to sell part of ESPN to a streamer. Couple that with the 4 biggest companies (Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google) in the US reside in PAC states. Smear in that the cable business model is broken and all sports will be switching to streaming. Sprinkle in that legalized sports gambling is happening on your phone and PAC after Dark happens at night (alcohol, gamblers trying to cover bets). a bidding war going on since late April. The PAC should be getting a huge deal, and I’m serious when saying I really wouldn’t be shocked if USC and UCLA never leave the PAC as they legally can get out of it until July of next year. That said, the longer this drags on the more likely George Kliavkoff bangs a major deal for the PAC. anyone that is saying the sky is falling for the PAC know nothing about media.
