Got spooked that you brought up the 2 different ken combos. Earlier today I was looking up Ken Masters kill combos, but a lot of the videos that popped up were of the smash guy.
Public Restrooms are, always have been, and always will be the Temple of Melty Blood Players. You could bring a setup into a random Walmart and soon it would become hoast to all the 5 Melty Blood players in your state.
People think its only public restrooms but their perception of history is totally wrong. If anything it shows Melty on PC being accessible allows it to have tourneys and top 8s anywhere the followers deem it be comfortable. Be it a local Burger King (next to a plug), the middle of a parking lot (one of the Frosty Faustings events had a fire alarm trigger so they had to take Melty there) and even a local park and using the outlet that the vending machine is on. If the small Melty band can do it, so can other players with their games available on a portable medium!

Smash is obviously huge enough that a bathroom or Burger King might be too small unless the event is remote but I'm interested in how others can do given that Local Multiplayer is possible with a single system or multiple of them. It is similarly untethered and reminds me of Monster Hunter gatherings that I've seen on 3DS and how some games don't actually need multiple copies of the game for multiple systems to play locally (Mario Kart DS and 7 are examples).

In 2019, Core-A's videos were a big influence for me to start getting into fighting games and attending local events. Texas Showdown 2022 was my first major offline FGC event I've attended. I had a great time and managed to place into top 8 of my game of choice. While I'm still relatively new to the FGC, my experience with it has been very positive and I think as long as you enjoy playing fighting games then it's easier to contribute meaningfully to the community and be accepted than you might think. Thanks to Core-A for the great content and helping me find something that I love to do and a community I'm glad to be a part of.

And I was just going over my biggest issues in life being how I've never felt like I belonged anywhere, even in my own family as an only child. I'm genuinely hoping I can fit into the FGC because I need something to belong to. I tried it with a certain Tekken Discord back when 7 first came out for PC and that was a veritable nightmare because of how messy things were with the people there. A clear sign that I should be doing things like that in person as opposed to online, but then that addresses the obstacle of lifelong isolation and distrust of those around me which is another can of worms that I've been unable to find a solution for. Everything starts with that first step and hopefully I can actually take it this coming friday at a local FGC scene. Here's to me making friends or making a total fool of myself.
