    It's a great boat/canoe thing but you can trawl with 2 rod's at the back I'd use it for pike or muskie fishing with huge lures or big lures for the likes of bass I'm in Ireland so we don't have muskie or bass but we have great spots to get huge pike between 20ld odd to 30lb and above. I love trawling and see that rod bend it's the best thing ever fish on get it to the boat and have a quick look and get it back in the water for another day I've caught the same fish 3 year's in a row I now because of the scar on its side or top water fishing with a frog or rat lures and seeing them take it of the surface god I love it. Sorry for waffling

    How slow does the trolling motor allow you to go? I mean can you cruise along at .5mph, .25mph? Or are we talking over 1 mph at the lowest setting?

    • @HeadwatersKayak

    Yeah you young guns never seen a “stick steering” bass boat.
    I think a outboard motor on a kayak is cool.
    But-the idea of a trolling motor is to have your hands free to fish and maneuver your boat.
    This trolling motor set up does not do that. Looks like to me the guys that made this boat are smart enough to figure out how to foot control the trolling Motor. My initial thoughts are foot control like a airplane or helicopter. Push left foot down to go left. And vice versa.
    ANYWAY cool video.
    Just saw the thump nail and had to watch.

    Looking at the clothing your wearing id say you are absolutely *not* dressed for immersion. This might be a wide kayak but its still not a bass boat and you could flip it, and if you flip it with what your wearing your going to get hypothermia quick.

    • @HeadwatersKayak
      @HeadwatersKayak  4 года назад +6

      bp968 just stop. Please I don’t need a lesson on dressing. I’ve been teaching that for decades. I was comfortable with my clothing choices for the water I was on and the boat I was in. Watch my videos and you’ll see I always preach safety when hypothermia or a swim is a valid concern.
