Geese it looks safe to travel there people seem straight forward but what an antiquated system! You need lots of patience the Cuban people deserve better!
I almost cried when he said: Now I am happy! (when he showed the tabacco plantation to Kurt). We can learn soo much from those people like him. He do the best from what he has and is just a kind person 😊😊.
I wonder how good the internet in cuba must be if he can upload this in FHD 50 fps in only 6 hours. That's not even possible with german landline internet.
The guy on the motorbike has to be an inspiration to us all in the western world. Here he is with no arms working every day earning whatever little money possible to provide for his family and pets. He doesn’t complain once and he is grateful for what he has in life. And in reality living in the west if you have money in your wallet, a roof over your head, clothes on your back, food in the cupboards, can go anywhere you want on vacation then you are already richer than 60% of the world. Yet people in the west have become so self entitled it’s ridiculous. Always be grateful for what you have in life!
i am not complaining a lot but ure so right had some heavy years but this is other level from that kind man i feel ashamed and thats what we have to see roof eat is more than enough thanks too kurt!
Edermis was the star of this video. What a joy and privilege to meet someone like him. It meant all the world to him to be a part of your visit and to help you meet your objectives. Even when Kurt first saw Edermis, he said, “This guys got no arms, I’m not gonna let him drive me.” But I bet now there’s no other moto taxi driver or even person in all of Cuba that Kurt would rather spend the day with. Dios te bendiga Edermis y toda tu familia
Its so sweet and pure that Edermis hung around and made sure Kurt got on the bus safely, even crossed the street to make sure all was good 🥺 wherever he is right now may God always watch over him and his family. A true inspiration!
The fact that Edermis lost his arms fighting in the South African Border War, and yet the universe unites him with Kurt to share this beautiful journey and have positive impact on each other lives is the sort of stuff U can't write Up.
That is so true. I can guarantee you that it is a war nobody wanted. I can understand why my country of South Africa wanted to defend itself from communism. It is not something we believe in as we don't align with those sort of values. This being during the Cold War era where Communism wanted to flex its powers against Democracy or even the USA. Whatever they believed in that time. I feel sorry for those who fought in the war on both sides. Such a pointless war if you compare to what impact it has today. From South African point of view, the government never mentions anything that happened that time or praise those that sacrificed their lives, body and spirit to that war. The ANC government of South Africa will never applaud the sacrifices of that time. Its a real shame. Some of our soldiers have made it a mission to meet the soldiers they have fought. Most of them can happily talk about that time and we have little hate for one another. Each see it as a duty that was laid upon them at the time. Its cool to see that both sides got to meet each other and have such a positive view of each other. Still it is such a unnecessary war. Feel sorry for those affected by it.
Sadly there will soon be other young Cuban men losing arms, etc again now that Russia has been becoming involved in Cuba once again over these past few months. They are going to start sending them to Ukraine and they get no choice.
@@HenkJamn I’m in the UK and know some South African and Rhodesian expats. My friend’s dad was in the Selous Scouts, moved to South Africa and joined the South African Special Forces and then became a private contractor, he’s seen some serious shit.
This is your best video ever. Edermis had me nearly in tears with the positivity and hospitality that shined through all of his words and actions. Then to make things even crazier he lost his arms in a war with the birth country of the guy he’s driving around, invited into his house, giving him fruit? Unbelievable storyline which I’m sure touched you as well. Thanks for setting out on this one and giving people like Edermis and Manuel a platform to share their kindness with the world.
This is one of his worst videos. Cuba isn’t like other countries because of Kurt several men and women in Cuba were arrested from him exposing them doing something illegal according the the Cuban government. He is such a fake person it’s all an act for the camera. He knew exactly what he was doing when he posted these videos in Cuba. Only cares about making money on RUclips.
Can’t say enough about Edermis and Manuel that hasn’t been said. Heart warming wholesome genuine people. You don’t see that often. Makes me proud to have a Cuban background.
I hope Edermis and his family find this video so they can read about how many people his inspirational story has reached! Great job Kurt, you are one of the best storytellers in today's world!
I love how Kurt starts off saying he doesn't want to ride with the guy who has no arms to becoming great friends with him by the end. So wholesome seeing Edermis excited that Kurt "completed his mission". Amazing video once again brother 🥪
Do you mean the guy that had no hands? He was totally 💯 Awesome 👏! But ,..”he single HANDedly made this video “ ,..dude ,..he has no hands!! But he is my hero!!
Edermis is what the real people of Cuba are like, nothing like the scammers you find in some areas. What a great person. My family and I are Cuban and this video really hit home. Thanks Kurt
When you gave him 300 bucks.. this moment is epic. It seems to encapsulate the essence of being a true human being. I had to rewatch this couple of times. One in a million moments. Glad I watched this video. Thank you.
Out of all the videos I’ve watched on your channel, this is my favorite one of them all because of Edermis. He showed us the true beauty of life with the act of his kindness and heart, and he did it with no arms. God bless you Edermis, your an angel of God. May people learn the lesson you have taught us in this video.
You‘re right, just beautiful the content he creates. I can recommend you another video of Kurt i also liked a lot! „$1000 gift for a kenyan clothes seller“ Enjoy, if you not already seen it.
You gained massive respect by giving Edermis 300$ instead of 15$. I suffer but seeing him being kind, optimistic, authentic and real and helping you through thick & thin to letting you experience what you came and asked for, was a real pleassure. Kudos my man Kurt, your the real G, helping someone who deserves it as much as he do, was worth every part of my energy. Support humanity, and keep up the content, you are fantastic bud ❤❤
Edermis fue totalmente sincero y Kurt lo notó, ya que le cobro el viaje como a un cubano común y parece que esa acción fue la que más le agradeció con esos 300$
Kurt I have no idea if you will ever see this but I will state my opinion regardless. In my view, this is, hands down, the single best video you've made and I say that having followed your channel since the beginning. The bond you created with the motorbike driver was simply fantastic and I bet we could all feel it through the screen. We could all see that it meant something for the both of you. Him hearing your story, you hearing his. The bond between you being South African and him having been forced to fight on the Angolan side back all those years back. How he, regardless of what people thought of him and the cards life dealt him, still fought on after returning home and got back on his feet. It was simply fantastic. So, thank you for taking us on this trip, showing us life in Cuba, hearing the stories, talking with people and teaching the rest of us some important life lessons, including how sandwiches in Cuba is an absolute no-go. From Denmark, I thank you for yet another great video and I wish you nothing but the best going forward. Till the next one! Stay safe.
I was contemplating the opposite. When he called everyone else that pretty much has more than a missing appendage a bitch for complaining. I agree the able bodied humans in this case should be more appreciative of what life has to offer them but everyone goes through different journeys. People should in general "bitch" less for sure but what someone sees as bitching can be as seeking help too. See where this is going? Still gonna watch Kurk his stories are interesting to follow along with because he always has a positive message to give and can literally communicate with most humans even if he cant speak their language. Perception and expectation are often muddled.
@@lookatthem3216 He's obviously talking to the people who live a good life and still moan and cry without actually trying to change their situation or move forward.
ppl who get treated dishonest, always will turn out very honest and humble. U can tell Edermis got treated when he spoke about how ppl from his town had disbelief in him driving a motor, for if u wonder why i talk about him being treated dishonest.
This is probably the Kurt's best upload. I think Kurt held back some tears at 1:03:10 cause of how that man lost his arms. Wherever you are senor Edermis, I salute you.
@@colin.m666 Kurt has a real friend in Cuba. What an experience one's soul has on this 🌎.We never know who we meet? Many central & Eastern Europeans are like Edermis.👑
@Flower Work7 I don't think you would get it honestly, despite being in such a poor country (not hating, just being realistic), he is still travelling on it's own, knowing new people and seeing new places, and I believe that can be joyful. But of course it's not always as you imagine it, everything comes at a cost. But to me it seems obvious that Kurt would rather travel in a "shit" country then to work 9-5 every day in SA or Germany or wherever. Hope you know what I mean
As a Cuban born expatriate, you brought me to tears . My poor, suffering compatiots are heartbreaking. Thank you for your generosity towards Edermis and the so many others on your Cuban journey.
I'm so sorry for the Cuban people. Kurt does a GREAT job in pointing out that communism ultimately victimizes the very people it claims to protect. This should be required viewing in our now lefty school system, that is currently brainwashing an entire generation. I'm not political at all, but have spoken with several people that have escaped the clutches of North Korea, Cuba and China - And they all are stunned how left the US is leaning now. These kids just don't know...
Kurt, this is the first time I have commented on any of the thousands of videos I have watched. You, sir, are a man's man. Don't change. You already have discovered many of the TRUE secrets of life. I am an old man that has traveled a bit, but you, sir, put the life into the word travel. Again, don't change, as you are already so much more than most people going through this life!
It made me cry when he told us how he lost his arms. I'm sure when you got on that bike with him you never expected the reason to be so intertwined with the place that you were born. The world is honestly such a small place. Thank you for helping him out, he will surely appreciate that money for a very long time.
I think Edermis was more happy to share his story with us and we as followers are more than happy to follow their human journey with ordinary good people.
This brought memories back to when I was 18 years old and on the South African side opposing Cubans in Angola in 1979. Wars start with huge parades, crowds cheering and the waving of flags and wars end with shattered people trying to put their lives together with whatever they have not lost in the war. Edermis is a massive inspiration and I will be sharing this with the South African veterans.
Hello Casper. IM cuban too but i live in USA and i hate everything related to castro and communism. My respect to you for been a Soldier in that word , i don't know if you got this part when he said " I was too young , 18 years old .......they took me. this means he had to go as many others youngsters again they will , they didn't really want to go or were proud about it, they have not other choice , if they said no they throw them in jail. many young men where sent to prison in Cuba under fidel castro regime for refuse to go to that war in Africa
@@francomedina7377 I did see that and it did have an impact on me since I too was 18 years old where we were conscripted within a month of leaving school for two years of military service of which up to 18 months will be in active service in the border war. On the South African side, those that refused to go were also thrown in jail. In the small South African town where I live there is a graveyard for the young boys that went to that war and never returned to their loved ones. The irony is that we thought the war was necessary since the Cubans were there and the Cubans thought the war was necessary since the South Africans were there. Today those areas look exactly as it did before the South Africans and Cubans passed over that land in an all but forgotten war in the name of their respective ideologies that amounted to empty slogans and battle cries that simply did not stand the test of time.
The fact that the bus at the end turned up at the exact moment Kurt and Edermis time together came to an end AND it happened to be going to Havana really is one of those special moments where the universe works in miraculous ways. On their journey together they shared a special bond and the universe decided to reward them after such a nightmare with travelling with exactly what was needed. This world is incredible sometimes.
I feel like God sent Kurt there on a mission. He went into places no other tourists would dare to go. And uncovered shocking details that can't be shoved back into the magic lamp. The global community needs to wake the f--- up.
Bro, I am 100% serious when I say this is the BEST RUclips video I ever seen. The plot twist where the driver lost his arms in the war with your country. You can tell it effected him hearing you were South African. I’m so happy you gave him much money because his soul is so good. You both had a good connection too! When you finished his saying about loud dogs don’t bite. BEAUTIFUL! Oh man, I laughed and I cried. I smiled so big when you smoked a damn Cuban cigar rolled by the Cuban farmer in Cuba. Dear lord man, that must have been amazing!!!
I felt the same. I really felt that that moment, he got some really big PTSD. I can only imagine the amount of things that rushed his mind at that moment, when he said he was from South Africa. He probably never imaged that would come, somehow, hunt him down 40 or 50 years later, but also come as a blessing in disguise. Gave me chills to think about it.
Kurt always manages to find the kindest souls in every country he visits. It's like he has great intuition to find people like that and to top it off, he gave Edermis a year's salary in Cuba for helping him complete his mission. Another gem of a video from Kurt!
Loved to see Manuel, Edermis and Kurt, just sharing moments with each other, different people, different lifes, just living and enjoying a moment together. It was nice to see it :)
This was one of my Top 3 Kurt videos. The full circle of Edermis losing his limbs in a battle against South Africa & Co, and getting to know a genuine person like yourself and vice versa will create ripples you won't even realize. Keep being you Kurt, and thank you for the hour video please keep them coming!
@Marc I highly suggest the Haiti series. Also, the Bolivia series had one of the most powerful endings with Kevin the Llama but looks like only the first video of that series ramains😢. You should probably watch the oldest to most present videos haha you may connect with some more than I don't. Enjoy!
I was looking for this comment. What an incredible thing they did. Helped an armless man custom build a motorbike to suit his needs. A sincere human gesture done by kids.
Edermis telling you he loves you take care is just amazing bro! he also mentioned he was thankful to have an opportunity to spend time with you which is amazing! you made that mans day!
@@VeganExcellence663 Lifting the embargo will change nothing. If anything, it will just lead to ignorant Americans going to the island and filling up the pockets of the dictatorship government even more, which will just use the money for themselves and to arm the police and military and oppress the people. So yes, don't end the embargo, it will not help the people in any way. Cuba can already trade (and does so) with hundreds of countries around the world, as you can see from Kurt's Cuba series. Their corrupt government just decides not to pay back debts and nobody wants to trade with them because of that. They don't even allow people to go fish... it's an internal embargo, caused by their own government.
Se você fosse em qualquer periferia no Brasil e dissesse que isso é dificuldade as pessoas iam rir de você. mas americano e tudo burro mesmo, não tem o que fazer...
Edermis went above and beyond to help you on your mission and I can honestly say I've never seen anyone with as much determination as he has in life. I hope he and his family have bright and happy futures. It would be cool if someday you could go back and surprise him.
Yes...in the video where he stand at the back and say that the bus is full and they did not let him in but when Edermis enter the scene he automatically sit in....in our country that seat is intended for PWD and no one without disability allowed to sit on that spot.
Man as a cuban expat my heart breaks when i see truly good people struggling to survive at home. What you did for that man is inspirational. Thanks a lot
The biker dude was so happy at the end of your journey with him. He deserves all the cash you have given him and he has definitely taught all of us a good lesson, things are difficult but not impossible!!!! You had the best cigar, and I had the best mojito in Cuba!!!! The best mojito is not with sugar, it's with honey!!!!!
Much respect to Edermis. He used his own perserverance to overcome the loss of his arms at age 18 (that war was traumatic for him), modify the motorcycle, and make a living as a driver. He has made a good life with a nice home, a wife and two daughters. Kurt was fortunate to connect with Edermis. The tobacco plantation was a plus. What people might not know is that the sticky substance Kurt felt when touching the plant leaves contains nicotin which absorbs on the skin. Tobacco growing in the field or in an uncured state is called “green tobacco.” Uncured tobacco is toxic when in prolonged direct contact with the skin. Workers engaged in tobacco cultivation suffer from an occupational illness known as “green tobacco sickness” (GTS). The tobacco grower, Manuel, is one tough dude working to grow, harvest and cure his tobacco.
Damm thanks for all that information legend. Hope this come handy at any time, nice seing people having really specific knowledge to both bring light regardless the situation and give an advise for the future. 💪💪💪💪
Not doubt!! I get nervous just watching his videos in my living room. He has a lot of courage going to all these places. I think his language and people skills help him quite a lot.
Kurt I really enjoyed this video One of your best one , you refused to paid $120 for a private taxi , but you gave Edermis the bike guy $300 for taking you to the tabacco farm my respect to you . Keep those videos coming. You are a kind person and original.
Never knew it was possible to experience so much emotion from one video. Back home here in South Africa we never quite realize how lucky we are, even with loadshedding and our incompetent government, truly blessed. Just like most South Africans who fought in the border war same for the Cubans, it was all for nothing. Kurt you are a great man and I can't thank you enough for taking us along your journey through Cuba, much love.
Beautiful experience to meet a great human like Edermis in your travels. Thank you for sharing Edermis with us all! God bless you Edermis! You are a great example of human determination! No excuses!!
@@chachicullopapiHomie one thing I’d like to tell you is this “What we take for granted others pray for” Whole lot of humans ain’t grateful man, seeing this man push through like this is refreshing but there’s people way worse than him, who also still show up and live life, yet we that have everything don’t realise how GREAT we have it.
Just because you live somewhat decent in a country doesn't mean you should feel bad about what other people are going through in their country, remember there are homeless individuals in the USA. Life is always a gamble
I was in Cuba a few months ago, in November, 3 weeks travelling solo, as a spaniard it wasn't as difficult as it might be for you, but in any case it was a very intense experience, to call it somehow, with very mixed feelings, feeling like at home and at the same time completely like a foreigner. I did the opposite way you are doing, first Sancti Spiritus and then Camaguey, Sancti Spiritus was my favourite city in Cuba, a very socialist city full of governmental institutions where I felt everybody was middle class, I wasn't bothered at all on the street and was the first (and almost only) place in Cuba where I felt people were genuinely interested in me as a person, not just as a wallet. Had a canchanchara in the hotel where you are staying and on that same square I met a ginger girl whom I got a crazy crush on. Camagüey on the other hand was without electricity half of the time, on my last evening in the city I found a restaurant with a generator, ate some pork, the next day I had a crazy diarrhea and had to travel to Santiago, like 5 hours on a bouncy road, holding it, the only stop on the way had a toilet with shit overflowing up to the top, and no paper, had to hold it all the way to Santiago. Once arrived, sweating from holding it and dying inside, still didn't take a taxi (stubborn me not wanting to give a cent to any scammers, taxi drivers being the champions in it) and walked to the airbnb, got lost (google maps sometimes is not that accurate in Cuba), sat down, and when standing up after 6 hours holding it I couldn't take it anymore, I REALLY needed to release it, so I walked in the first building next to me and begged for a toilet, it was a school, 4 teachers in the hall were shocked about me walking in like that dropping my luggage in pain, they didn't want to allow me in, but after further begging they quickly did. So there I was, on a tiny child toilet (I'm 1,93m), releasing the tsunami, the noisy tsunami, there I started sweating like I just took a shower, with 0 privacy, it was an open toilet in an courtyard, and the teacher, a tighten up girl, was there waiting for me to finish, there was a little wall (up to my hip) dividing the toilets, so with a tiny bit of privacy and with the toilet paper the bus driver gave me, I cleaned myself somehow. When I came out all the teachers were making fun of me (has jiñado eh? Allí también decís jiñar? Claro hombre) and a gay teacher who just entered the room wanted to introduce himself in a flirty way, "I don't think you want to give me the hand right now" I answered, lot of laughs around. But it didn't end there, when I came out of the school, I sat down on the street to rest, it started to rain, got some shelter in a staircase, and suddenly the homeless guy who asked me for money 2 mins ago was upstairs, he came down and sat down next to me, he started talking about jesus, his old job, on a loop, he said the same things 10 times, like on a trance, then he started singing religious songs with his arms to the sky, and there I was, exhausted, sweating, lost, dirty, wet and wondering wtf I am doing there. Anyway, had a shitty day at work and then I just noticed you uploaded this video and felt like sharing one of the hundreds anecdotes of my solo trip in Cuba, enjoy the experience man (if you can, I wouldn't go back either), I just came across your channel a week ago and already watched several of your adventures.
The man with no arms was really grateful Kurt remembered him and looked for him the following day. Honestly, im glad you went with him as well Kurt and it was beyond exceptional that after he went out of his way for you you made that mans day more than you can imagine. Great job, I bet you he'll never forget you.
I’ve been battling depression for a little while now, and watching this video felt like a massive wake up call for me. Thank you for this gift, for introducing the world and I to Edermis and his story.
If this truly is the last video of Cuba, I would like to express my gratitude to you for providing this uncut gem. Of course, compared to the other places you have been, it might not have been the most comforting, but I assure you that this has been the most fruitful experience. Hopefully in hindsight you can comprehend this. I consider myself someone privileged but very humble. I’m grateful for what I have, but I always look for way to improve. However, this episode/series thoroughly reminded my of how hard it really is for others. It’s not everyday you meet people like Manuel or Edermis, but you for sure had a huge impact on them. The were genuine. I hope that you keep in touch with them, and perhaps one day visit them again to follow up. Stay blessed brother 🙏🏽
In my opinion, although I'm not cuban (I'm venezuelan based in Spain), This is the video I've enjoyed the most from Kurt!. It's impressive the story about Edermis and the moment when he was holding up the camera while they were smoking, just incredible! You were so kind and generous Kurt! You did the right thing.
i quite agree with you !!! i have seen Cuba many time and i wish i could have been in your country as well !!! regards from Brittany west part of France
Nice man, I was born in Sancti Spiritus. I recognized the whole city. That guy Edermis didn’t over charge you at all for that trip, he actually charged you pretty low for all the tours that’s easy 3000. He really deserved that tip. I grew up since I was 3 in Miami but when I was 20 I went to visit and I fell in love with my wife, the mother of my daughter. I bought a house and a motorcycle over there and basically lived there for 4 years while we waited for their visas. The people there are very genuine and they will share the little they have with you and try to accommodate you to the best of their ability. It was pretty harsh on you and you have money, I lived with the locals for many years and it’s tuff my man, living there made me appreciate all the opportunities and luxuries we have in countries like the US. 80% of the people there don’t have A/C or hot water or showers with running water so they have to bathe with a bucket full of water and a plastic cup. Now as I’m writing this they only have power around 12 hours of the day so the other 12 they don’t even have fans for air a lot of the times they have to sleep in the summer with no A/C and not even a fan because the power is out. Yet they are all very happy with the little they have and really help each other out as a community, neighbors are all you got over there because the government abuses and exploits them and takes their basic human rights. Anyway man glad you got to see my home town. And if there’s a next time don’t eat all those nasty sandwiches go to the private sector for food they have way better food and try the pizza! It’s literally better than any pizza in the US. Blessings good luck on your journeys and stay safe
Such a beautiful soul Edermis ❤ even stayed behind to check on Kurt and see him off that's so much honor and respect. Wish that man all the blessings in life and so awesome of Kurt to give him a big tip. Safe travels 🙏
You need to do more 1 hours (+) videos. This is so good, Edermis is so inspirational with such a pure heart. The fact that he cames back to see if the bus is not fulfilled for you, that’s insane. Keep up the good work Kurt, God loves you ❤
What a masterpiece of a video. Despite it wasn't the most pleasant travel destination, meeting people like the biker man makes it all a significant and inspirational journey. His story really moved me. Keep it up Kurt, you never fail to deliver amazing content.
Wow....My favorite part of this story...most definitely is the motorcycle transporter...what an inspiration in him providing for his family despite his limitations....much respect indeed.
After watching the whole video i can say that Edermis is a great person, he was no interested on scamming and he made his best to give Kurt the best experience possible, Kurt is a great person as well, i love to watch these videos they definetely motivate me to travel with no restrictions y como decimos en mi País " A la de Dios sin nada"
Best video you’ve put out! Your interaction with Edermis was what we need more of in this world. You treated like an equal and as human despite his obstacles. That is greatly lacking in this world. I appreciated seeing what that meant to him. As well as the tobacco farmer. I hope many people view this video and learn form you. Excellent!
Los cubanos aprecian y quieren mucho a los mexicanos y a Mexico porque a abrigado, alimentado y ayudado a millones de emigrantes que han pasado por ese bello pais. ❤❤❤❤
Kurt, as a Cuban I am so grateful to you for showing the reality of my country and the suffering of Cubans under communism, what you did for Edermis was incredible, the way you tell his story, you are my fucking hero, man, this video was so painful to watch at times but I also think there is hope for a better future for my homeland. Thanks again.
Man I always suggest you to go out and see how Haiti is goin on... Kurt didndt seem to talk a lot about this when he was in Haiti. I invite you all to reason: Cuba has a lot to improve, but at least there s no favelas problem, wide narcotraffic and corruption like in the 90% of LatinoAmericas's country. Peace!
One of your best videos yet you hippie backpacker! 😄 You inspired me to travel to Belize earlier this year and I’m making it my mission to travel abroad even more.
The time you spent with Edermis was dramatic and incredibly impactful for me. The moment when it is revealed how he lost his arms I felt such deep pain I can't find words to describe it. I love that you gave him a shot. In my mind, I was certain that you were making an awful decision and how insane is it that you would go with him, but the longer it went on the more saddened and gleeful I became to recognize that I would've made the wrong decision there, and I would've missed out on one of the most kind-hearted and genuine people you've met on the Cuba trip. Good video Kurt.
This might be your best video yet! There's something incredible about a south African meeting a man who lost his arms in no doubt a horrific way fighting against south Africa...and becoming good friends for a time and no doubt leaving a big impression on one anothers lives.
Kurt, I am Cuban, living in USA who escaped from Communism, I have been your subscriber for a long time, love your videos, BUT this video is by far the one that has touched me deeply, your story was amazing and the way you handled it, i have so much respect for you now. I live in Tampa, USA if you by any chance come to America......Mi casa es tu Casa.....thanks for your videos on Cuba
Thank you for what you did for Edermis. I thought it was really cool that Kurt realized how genuine and humble this dude was. You Don’t come across alot of ppl like this now adays and it’s awesome to see. This video meant alot to me and that interaction will never be forgotten. For both of you, and for all of us watching. This type of stuff keeps me going in life and makes me realize there is still love out there. Real genuine souls. Thank you man. Miigwech ogichidaa🤝
usually don't comment but this has to be the most wholesome video I've seen in a long time. The way your new friend evolved to be an amazing guide and fun person is crazy. Jealous of ur experiences!
What a story this video has. Top 3 best Kurt Caz videos in my opinion. Edermis is an actual angel sent from heaven, that dude taught me a lot of lessons today.
This guy is very inspirational! This guy must be some miracle. Edermis reminds me of my grandfather who has same situation (no arms). Awesome clip, Kurt is already legendary
This is the most wholesome video I’ve watched. Your selflessness and fearlessness is inspiring. Edermis made me laugh and tear up several times. I almost cried when he said “thank you for remembering me” Some touching moments for me were his consejos, when he offered you Ciruela, when he said he’s a camera man, when he played Julio Iglesias (my Grandpas fav artist), and when he came back at the end to make sure there was enough room for you on the bus before he headed off. You could make this a series and I’d support every video ❤️ bless you and Edermis. Gracis Kurt!
@@Stephen85 yeah he was a good dude and I've noticed in some of these videos of Kurt's some people have been really tryin to scam him outta money but this dude seemed good. Good to see
My dad is from Cuba, I was born in the US. I've always had mixed feelings about Cuba based on his/my family's experience leaving everything behind in hopes of a better life some 60 years ago. Really interesting to catch a glimpse through this video.
What you did brother Kurt is nothing short of spiritual stuff. You got to live an authentic experience, with real people and in the process made the guy's life a little better. And at the perfect timing.

And the fact that South africa took his arms put emphasis on how kind a human can be, and here he is with a south african.

This brought memories back to when I was 18 years old and on the South African side opposing Cubans in Angola in 1979. Wars start with huge parades, crowds cheering and the waving of flags and wars end with shattered people trying to put their lives together with whatever they have not lost in the war.

Beautiful story 😂 thanks for sharing
I would have went behind a random tree, or just out in the open. When you gotta go, you gotta go😂
@@whysix3417 i cant hold it for 2 min
I had also shit for 5 days in Varadero. Do you why it is so? Kurt never goes out to toilet 😂
It rained after you pooed? dude you got yourself a natural bidet!
"I am not going to die i am going to drive"...u r a hero brother and an inspiration for this whole world❣
If this truly is the last video of Cuba, I would like to express my gratitude to you for providing this uncut gem.
Me too. This is by far his best video imo.
i quite agree with you !!! i have seen Cuba many time and i wish i could have been in your country as well !!! regards from Brittany west part of France
I agree.. best video
When he travelled half of bolivia with a lama that he name Kevin was also good
Nice man, I was born in Sancti Spiritus.
❤️Hi..
glad to hear from you.
I appreciate your support
Where are you watching from…?
Wow....My favorite part of this story...most definitely is the motorcycle transporter...what an inspiration in him providing for his family despite his limitations....much respect indeed.
Kurt always manages to find the most pure kind hearted people no matter what country he goes to. Thank you for the videos Kurt!
Excellent!
And university students here idolize Che Guevara. 😢
My other comments are being deleted. New Discourses.
Communism needs to be wiped off the planet
Man I always suggest you to go out and see how Haiti is goin on... Kurt didndt seem to talk a lot about this when he was in Haiti. I invite you all to reason: Cuba has a lot to improve, but at least there s no favelas problem, wide narcotraffic and corruption like in the 90% of LatinoAmericas's country.
Peace!
@@lorenzomichettoni7487 The great African influence destroys everything as you can clearly see in Cuba.
So many little gems were dropped in this video, truly motivating. Edermis and Manuel are some of life's treasures too.
One of your best videos yet you hippie backpacker! 😄 You inspired me to travel to Belize earlier this year and I’m making it my mission to travel abroad even more.
Nigga did you just give this rich RUclipsr $50? Lol that’s crazy

@@dancrunk1063 What's not to understand? Out of let's say 10 000 people there will always be a couple hundred weirdos. The vocal minority.
dont let the jokers get ya down. Kurt isnt that rich and you are just being nice so its alright. but next time..20 is ok lol
@Elonmusk-os9wt I am alright. You?
what a kind and lovely people Edermis and Manuel touched my heart ,when i saw people like them thats when i believe again in kindness for human being
The time you spent with Edermis was dramatic and incredibly impactful for me.
Edermis enjoyed being around you so much, I’m crying witnessing how happy this man is here. May happiness and good health always be upon him.❤
I’m surprised he didn’t give money to the cigar farmer. He gave him a tour and cigars. Wtf ?
Kurt is the best vloger hands down. He’s the only person that consistently talks about what tf is going on 😂
Thank you for what you did for Edermis.
The happiness from the man of achieving Kurt his mission about tobacco is priceless
"oh my god this guy has no arms, I'm not going to let him drive me" in a calm demeanor from Kurt, then proceeds to catch a ride with him is hysterical
Comedy
He probably realized he had to do it as soon as it came out of his mouth. Content gold...
Kurt's whole life is about risks, that's what makes him the goat.
Gracis Kurt!
checking if there was enough room for him on the bus really showed his humanity, love it.
Dogs that bark don't bite
Loved this video. I laughed so hard your comments. You truly found a friend in Edermis. I think he was the best part about your trip. Thank you!!!
A guy who drives a motorcycle with no arms. Some people really are incredible
He ended up being really competent, dude is really cool.
@@Stephen85 yeah he was a good dude and I've noticed in some of these videos of Kurt's some people have been really tryin to scam him outta money but this dude seemed good. Good to see
How does he brake lol
You are awesome, craig.
@@Yessirdo most motorcycles have a foot brake and hand brake
My dad is from Cuba, I was born in the US. I've always had mixed feelings about Cuba based on his/my family's experience leaving everything behind in hopes of a better life some 60 years ago. Really interesting to catch a glimpse through this video.
Cuba is great. Sounds like you got your info from gusanos.
What you did brother Kurt is nothing short of spiritual stuff. You got to live an authentic experience, with real people and in the process made the guy's life a little better. He will remember you forever and not just for the biggest paycheck of his life, but for the humanity you showed him. Mad respect brother!! 🙏 👊
I am shocked at how good this story / documentary / video / adventure is. Captivating. Filled with love and good intentions.
Only Kurt would find a motorcyclist with no arms 😊 Its amazing to see how no matter what, you are still alive and nothing can prevent you from doing anything in life. Make the best out of any situation! Big respect to that guy! Amazing to see! Edermis story about how he learnt to ride the bike brought tears to my eyes! Life can be so beautiful if you let it!
