  • Most tourists to Cuba enthusiastically pour into Havana and Varadero, without ever considering the east of the island. If you travel far enough east, you will find the San Francisco of the Caribbean, Santiago de Cuba . In this one, you will join me for a conversation about Cuba's Afro Caribbean City - Santiago de Cuba.

    I appreciated you mentioning the issue within the Caribbean relating to the lock of opportunities for young people and why they feel the need to leave these countries. The Caribbean is in a tricky position, young people leaving for North America, on one hand its good, they can send money back home to help. on the other hand, who will be there to build these countries. I guess the diaspora will have a big role in helping sharp these countries future.

    Keenan - have you ever asked why they import chicken. Chicken rearing is pretty easy and does not require lots of land. Is it because of governments regulations or people just do not like to do it. If people have no jobs I would think that would be an easy way to make some money for the locals who need it.

    • @KeenanLambert198
      @KeenanLambert198  4 месяца назад +1

      I had looked into it…. The government made the determination it would be cheaper to import rather than feed and raise…

      @@KeenanLambert198 Ummmm interesting. Major difference between communism and capitalism. The market should be the arbiter of whether its economical to import or produce locally. Anyways how much is a whole live chicken or say a rotiserrie chicken if you know. There was an issue in some parts of Africa a few years ago with chicken from Brazil that was being preserved with real bad chemicals and led to import bans etc. Cheap is not always better.

    I love your channel. You’re clearly well informed dude but I don’t think short form videos are in your best interest. It keeps feeling like every time you get into the meat of what you’re saying the video is over You choose really interesting subjects but I really think your video should be 30 to 45 minutes.

      Hi Harease!!
      Only a few country require an in depth visa process. For US passport holders we simply buy the visa at the final departure gate in the states… Right now that is Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Newark, Houston.
      Only for people born in Cuba is there a multi-step process…. Their process is a little different.

    Thank you for sharing, as you are speaking to an audience of individuals. Not a body.
    -Casa de la religious in matanzas
    Also there is a museum depicting the early slave trade.
    -originals just outside of havana is mainly afro decent. And they all listen to a mix of afrobeats and tunes.
    The subcurrent of vibes experience is more like why go to a club to get harassed for I.d. cards when we can Fiesta in our own Barrio.
    Nobody really likes traveling tourists who date. And the girls that go for that are not usually quality. There's rhe pros and rhe curious ones. And the down right sketals.
    Again your to discover.
    Usually man's don't find themselves until they actually fall for a girl who wants more game from him. Or heart u should say.

    What i wish they knew is that they have family to the four corners of the Earth ! And the MAJORITY of the people stolen from West Africa were stolen from the "Slave Coast " which was a Kingdom that had the name of Juda and it was WELL DOCUMENTED on who these people were Who their God was and what their cultural practices were before it was tortured out of them HOWEVER they didn't lose it all and if you look closely you can still see who they are and an awakening is taking place !!!
