It is a good and exciting documentary. I am Cuban and left my country a long time ago. The data in this video changed a lot. Cuban people are suffering; they need to wait a very long food line, and the hospitals don't have medical supplies. Also, education is declining because many teachers are leaving the country. It is unfortunate, but once a country has the same political system, Socialism, the society falls. Human Rights in Cuba is zero. The most beautiful thing Cuba has is its people ❤
Yeah I’m skeptical of this comment. Like yes, Cuba sucks because of the embargo, but it’s not socialism that’s the problem. Cuba isn’t even definitionally socialist 😑, they are working “towards it”. In reality, from what I’ve heard, the state has amassed most of the wealth for civil servants and politicians, generally creating the opposite of socialism. Basically, a bunch of crooks who larp as socialist run Cuba to get away with being crooks

I wonder why people are always upset when anyone shows Cuba in a positive light. Of course Cubans leave in extreme poverty and so does 9% (712 Million people) of the world. Nobody is denying that fact. What is this obsession with peoples misery? If you want to help the people of Cuba, you have to show the resilience of the Cuban people and what Cuba has to offer. That way, tourists will be encouraged to visit and spend cash hence helping the local people. Portraying Cuba or any other country as a dystopian hell hole only is not helping the people who live in those countries.
Oof - I expected more from a documentary on Cuba. This was more like a travel diary that focused on what it offers tourists, ignorant of the actual reality of Cuban existence. When you interview business owners thriving in the tourist economy, you're going to get a rather elitist view of Cuba. Perhaps that's what tourists want.
@@Youlube87 Sure - and the next time I have a critique of something else, I'll just keep my comment to myself and go do it myself. We mustn't add to collective knowledge - we should reinvent the wheel every time.

Though, why didn't you include in your video meeting some of the so-called wealthy !
Good idea, we probably should have included the wealthy
Wow! So there really is internet there...... I didn't think there was. And oh, them cars, those beautiful old cars people would pay a million for, if they could lay their hands on them.
Internet just in parks. Cars are often owned by Miami cubans, and they cant be exported
❤❤❤love your vidoes
Thanks so much
Every body must visit
31:04 Cigar Roller is soooooo cute.
And makes good cigars!
(45:55) We have that expression too in Mexico, although it really means that a woman is very sexy; it's a bit of a difference. It's like comparing Audrey Hepburn to Bridget Bardot. Both are beautiful but Bardot has that extra factor.
Great comment, thanks
I wish I could live in free Cuba
the sugar cane juice actually helps with the sometimes overwhelming results of a good cigar
Haha, and maybe the rum ...
Love this place so peaceful
I guess you are talking about Vinales, yes agreed!
I loved watching this!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Great Carol, I'm glad you enjoyed!
If the embargo is keeping capitalism out and happiness in Cuba, then lets hope the embargo will never end.
Thanks for your point of view, appreciated
FYI...your "spanish" pronunciation is/was dismal... (start with "VaradEro"
Thanks for your feedback! We'll definitely endeavour to have narrator who speaks more accurate spanish for future docos.
It is mango season now here in India
How can I buy a real Cuban cigars let me know thank you
Beautiful country beautiful people
Yes indeed
Love Cuba, hubby originally from there, we go every year n plan to retire there hopefully this year!
Why did he leave cuba?
@@jasonlo8780 $$$ like many from all over the world leave there country for, n if their fortunate enough like my husband has been from working hard, you buy yourself a little house, in our casa a little beach house n vacation there every year with family n friends, n hopefully retire in your(Isla) country. I think most people's dream is to go back home for good, one-day! USA is great to make $, that's why so many risk their lives to come, but it'll never be home sweet home...
@@flower4598 makes a lot of sense, I agree with you it's definitely a dream., with that being said the house you guys bought is not really yours, they can take it away from you whenever they want and there's nothing you can do about it. Just be careful, I think any country where people are starving, tourist live better and you don't really own anything is very dangerous. It says a lot when people risk their lives in homemade rafts to flee says a lot ab Cuba, I'm Cuban myself and never want to go back. We had to flee as well for a better living, and that says a lot. You are in the best country with endless opportunities right now. I hope all goes well for you guys!

The town of Australia?
I'm 55 and love this video and old things as I am becoming one. They also have Old Steam Trains. Maybe other wonderful things.
Me too, old thing that is!
Thanks for your comments. Cuba and Cubans have very much to offer, they've just had difficult government.
You need a translator mate. Nice adventure
Thanks for comments. We found Cuba difficult to shoot due to Govt eye, and indeed it was one of our first. Hope we do better in the future
Maybe you should do a documentary and show how miserable their lives are...
@@Youlube87 Sure - and the next time I have a critique of something else, I'll just keep my comment to myself and go do it myself. We mustn't add to collective knowledge - we should reinvent the wheel every time.
This is just another little documentary about cigars , cars that are falling apart and whatever is appealing to this people , such an ignorant and misleading documentary, anyway who cares , right ????
Totally inappropriate questioning of people in poverty with no way to be free. Shame. Arrogant and condescending.
👍👍👍
Protect every inch of Your sand-ocean and Palm trees
It would be nice to translate the Spanish.
Enjoyed it tho. I wish they would end the embargo.
We are wallowing in stuff and they are so lacking.
Couldn't they just raise chickens. I don't understand why they don't.
Because the real embargo is the one imposed by Communist government, that's why.
Noted, we have subtitles back on ...
Agree about translation subtitles being needed!
I wonder why the Tobacco farmer , the rum maker and the coffee farmer all spoke English so well ?
They are allowed to sell minor amount of product direct to market ... and English helps this ... cheers
I would like to know what industry they have created? The reason being is that since EVERYTHING is made in China now, what exactly does the USA provide to Cuba?
Seems to me that their system there really is not a problem of trade.
Well Thats One Off My Next Ports Off Call To Do A Full ISLAND Trip ,Its ON MY BUCKET LIST, Thanks AMIGO? Part OFF My Fathers History?
Not Communism that's kept it poor, but 'US trade embargos'.
Would be nice if US and Cuba got along ....
@@chasingzephyr9333 - The US sees every country that doesn't agree with it, as a threat...to be punished. If it took its jackboot off their neck, they could breathe again.
C U.B.A. : BEAUTIFUL..!!!
Yes it is, thank you for watching
