    I've had 10 Renaults over the last 34 years and only one of them gave me trouble, a 2006 Megane with electric window issues. The other cars, a selection of Renault 5's, Clio's, Meganes and Laguna have all been 100% trouble free. I can't say the same of the Toyotas, Nissans, Kia and Opel I've owned. My mother drives a 2006 Clio mk 3 and that is still driving perfectly. So this "reliability" issue with Renaults is a load of rubbish. They're great cars.

    I had a 2006 Megane with one of those keys, I found it fitted in the tiny pocket in the right pocket with my jeans. Apart from the electric window issues it was a great car.

    Love it when Metal and leather is used in the interior.

    Great review.. strangely when you were driving it appeared you were driving a left hand drive car?

      For reasons unknown they mirrored her driving footage (selfie phone camera?) -- text on her tee is backwards

    Before the MG3 Hybrid+ came, the Renault Clio E-Tech was the cheapest hybrid on sale in the UK and possibly some other European countries.

    Just bought this, picking it up tomorrow.
    Thanks for your matter of fact and quite entertaining review, your quips and comments had me laughing. Exactly the kind of thing my ADHD-brain would be thinking about the car if I was in it.
    The car DOES have personality!

    Thanks for the review, just wanting to add some truth which is often missing in you tube reviews. I took delivery of my new Renault Clio - esprit alpine three weeks ago so this comes from a place of knowledge. Beautiful car, I don’t deny - but it feels cheap, sometimes really cheap. Close the door for the first time and you will instantly regret buying this car, it sounds like a thin tin can. Inside, the gear changer also feels - just a little cheap? And flimsy.. like it’s going to break if you knock it or change a gear too quickly.

      See my phone overheats when using wireless and I find it moves and disconnects a lot. Would definitely like a port as-well personally

    Ignoring the list price it's a £19k car brand new on Autotrader or £16.5k in another trim similar performance to say a Swift but a little larger. I'd take the Swift for brand reputation and 7 year warranty and there's discounts for folk with public service jobs.

      I’d take a Clio much better driving car then a swift lol.

      Clio is a higher quality and comfort car. Swift is just cheap.

    • @anthonybrown4874
      @anthonybrown4874 Месяц назад

      @DainiusB2 It might be the more spacious better driving smoother car and if I was just running it for those first 3 years it would likely be a slam dunk, but I tend to keep a car for a longer term and I know from personal experience of relatively modern Renault Peugeots ets that the durability is poor as the miles rack up so does the maintenance time and expense so I would take a Suzuki Honda Toyota any time over a Renault or Stellantis product just my experience of driving since the late 70s.
