HI Robbie! "Mare's tail" is one of the best desriptions for a waterfall I have ever heard! See things? In the UK? ha ha ha I tend to think of the Highlands as interesting places with interesting people while the south is sort of boring with boring ppl. Please do not tell Graeme I said that! My Godmother's friends who's family is from Scotland are a bit over the top. One year, we were at an Ethnic Festival and the Dad was wearing a kilt, which was perfect. But his wife was wearing a dress from the lowlands and it was dull. Mostly just white with a bit of trim. I love going places with signs. I am somewhat obsessed. And visitor's centers! I am also somewhat obsessed with postcards and refridgerator magnets. Glad you are feeling better! Ugh, a week of vomiting. :( I would love to have gone fishing there! Surprised we do not see more fisherman in your videos. I mean, one would be an improvement. So, aren't your kids sad when they are not able to go along on these trips? They should be allowed off school for them and given credit if they write up a report on them. Blessings!
I hope you are on the mend, now. This area is so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing the stunning landscapes and legends of your country. You always have the best stories to go along with the scenery.
dont push yourself too hard! rest is important when youre sick, and even once youre over the worst of it, your body can still be fighting for a couple weeks. great video though!!
Thank you Robert! Being afraid of heights I do understand how you feel and I Thank you! It is beautiful. I get so angry at myself because I would probably miss out.
Stunning video Robert. I think the rain and wind make it lovely. Of course the mother in me comes out and wants to know why couldn't this wait until you were better, lol. Take care of yourself please.
Thank you Robert for this wee tour/history and scenery 👍 Aww ya poor wee thing, you looked drookt and chittering 🥶 Ma🤞you don't catch a 🤧 Have a wonderful weekend Robert❤
Thank you! Every time you post a video where it is raining it makes me nostalgic for all the outings I went on with my grandparents, who lived in Kirkcaldy. No excursion was ever cancelled due to weather because "it might clear up." I've been to the Trossachs twice but have only ever seen heavy shrouds of mist.
The parking at grey mare's tail was our first campspot on our first roadtrip through Scotland. Our trip couldn't have a better start. I'll be in love with that spot forever. We'll be back in the near future. Best regards from Belgium.
This is quickly becoming one of my favourite channels on RUclips. You have the gift of storytelling Robbie, it's put Scotland on my bucket list. Best wishes, from South Western Australia 🇦🇺
You can be forgiven for staying in bed, out of the rain if you're not feeling well! Did you mention Moffat is nearby? Lovely little town, crazy activity all night and magnificent statue of a sheep 😊. Beautiful country 😍
So very beautiful that country of yours, thanks so much for us who dont or cant travel its a close as we get to enjoying what is truly a incredible landscape
As an Armstrong whose descendants immigrated from Scotland to the U.S. several generations ago, I love your videos as they allow me to connect to my family history.
Beautiful land out there. I was a bit worried about you hiking on that rock path, that looked quite narrow, steep and very wet! Robert you always present us with such treasures of beautiful views and incredible stories. You stay warm and pamper yourself and get feeling better soon. Thank you. ❤❤
Thanks for the video, as someone who grew up in the area. It is a annoying that tourists to Scotland think it is all about the Highlands. Not really their fault as this is what they get fed, so its good to see a video extolling the beauty of the area, even if it is raining.......most of the time.
Thanks for the visit , iwas last there at least fifty odd years ago my dad used to takes us out in the car on a mystery tour . We had a guess at where we were going but he never said until we got there, happy days
Thank you for all your efforts in bringing us the video. The scenery is spectacular! Somebody went to a lot of work putting that path in...probably a lot of somebodys over time. I'd love to go on the hike...
Scotland is just phenomenally beautiful! What a lovely aura the mist gives! Hope you are not going to get sick again! We are having such a great show of wildflowers here in W. Tx this Spring, and everything’s green and new! I was waiting for this video, you do put yourself out on a limb for us! Gratitude !!!😊😊
Ah. The joys of horizontal rain. I can see why the Scots discovered whiskey. You need is when you get that cold and wet. Especially indoors next to a nice warm fire.
I love the Borders . My daughter lives near Melrose and my wee grandson and his dad climb the Eildons regularly. Some of those paths are exactly the same. Thanks for taking me to the Grey Mares tale…… it’s years since I’ve been there.
Greetings from New Scotland - Nova Scotia, Canada. Just found your channel. My MacPherson ancestors are from the Isle of Eigg in the Inner Hebrides and I was fortunate enough to visit there. Really looking forward to catching up on your videos! Have subscribed!
That is incredibly beautiful, thank you.❤ I question your sanity going there after being horribly ill though. I’ve watched some of coal mine exploration videos, and standing by the loch in the wind and rain is better than mining coal would have been.
Very interesting take. Meeting the devil, in my opinion, would be pretty frightening...;I have to stop and wonder if he'd found and special little mushrooms on his journey... Just a thought😅🤪🤣 have a great weekend
The ridge where Emperor Hadrian built his wall is also remnants of Scotland crashing into England. Since Covid, all sorts seem to be going round and round. Take care of your immune system with herbs. Thanks for the tour.
Have you ever thought to do a video of Scott's View near Sir Walter Scott 's home of Abbottsford. There is also a place near Scott's View, there is a statue of William Wallace that overlooks the border into England. I went to both places last spring and was really impressed with the natural beauty of the land.
Thanks for the story! I do believe in curses, they're much more common than people think. Fortunately they are easily removed. I wouldn't bother with clergymen though. Long time since I was in Carlisle, this stone maybe landed since then. As ever, the landscape you show is a winner!
Ohhh i love that place. My goodness, a bit risky climbing in that weather. Moffat, a lovely town. ..... and back through the Bonnie Borders. A short video but most enjoyable. 👍👍💛
Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell, glad you’re on the mend though! The temptation to visit that place hasn’t tempted me. Beautiful but a bit dangerous for me Another glorious tale though ❤
I was kinda shocked when I got to the top of the trail and found a loch up there 😂 it just comes out of nowhere... I'd always assumed the waterfall was just fed by a river coming down from the peaks behind - never realised there was a body of water up there
Wow! Scotland Never fails to take the breath away. As many times I have visited Scotland this area is a total surprise! In a few months I'll be back but this time will travel South before heading North from Edinburgh. Stunning. Thank you Robert.

I'm sorry my Scottish brother, but the earth is not 400 million years old... And the lower and upper labs of Scotland didn't crash together... God created everything when He created the earth about 6000 years ago... But I still love your tales and yarns
Stunningly beautiful landscape. Get well. We need your wonderful stories 😊❤️
Absolutely stunning 🤩
Who knew it was so nice down there?
Thanks again!!
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your country . Be well . Watching from New York USA

The air must be so fresh up there.
What a beautiful area. Thanks a lot for sharing with us.
Beautiful video, Robert. Thank you 😊🏴

Such a spectacular country you live in. The stories you share along with the videos make my week. I tend to watch them over and over. Thank you.

Nice bit of geological division of Scotland there.👋👋👋Some day. Always rains in the Southern Uplands for some reason. 😀
I am under the weather myself today. Rainy and dreary here in Ohio. Feel better soon, Robbie!
