Love yo video on the S.U.W Such a lovely walk and well sign posted through all the route .I walked the way 3 times over the years .And camped believe it or not in the Car park which once was a garden at Tibbie Shields inn. So a quiet beautiful walk .Wish i could do it again .But age has caught up with me .I never met any rangers while completing my walks .But to say you certainly looked after us walkers even if i didn't meet any of you . Thank you. William Mills
I walked the southern upland way twice, in 1986 and 1990. It was the first solo long distance walk I did and I have loads of great memories of these trips. Sleeping in several cabins, meeting new friends every day, barmeals, camping in peoples gardens and getting completely wasted in the inn at saint marys loch, so wasted in fact I forgot to close my tent when going to sleep and waking up by a complete army of midgets that decided to join me. The way this route changes character as you walk from coast through forest, mountains, to the other coast were very inspirational. My experiences during these walks have been lessons I have put to good use in later years and I am forever grateful tintje people that created this beautiful and inspiring walk. I have often considered returning and walking the suw again but somehow fear invalidating great memories….
Great memories, amusing :-) I've walked trails twice or more and found that it did negatively tread on previous memories, the way to overcome this was to walk them in the reverse direction. Hope you get back to the SUW. Regards
Enjoyed my Southern Uplands Way- a great gem.
Thank you for this very educational video. It provides some lovely background for my SUW journey that will start in two weeks.
Loved walking this 30 years ago - we did Beattock to Portpatrick - ending in the Crown 🎉

i'm so glad to walk very short parts of the path
We arrive in Glentrool for two weeks the day after the exhibition finishes at the Hive. We would loved to have seen it. Really enjoyed this video.
