Those were some impressive miles with a heavy pack. The narration was warm and interesting. The images were beautiful. A wonderful accomplishment and a lovely video. Thank you 👍
I really enjoyed watching this wonderful walk, such an achievement for you! I shall show my son, he did the walk a few years ago and they had some very wet days as I recall! He will enjoy this very much, thank you for sharing your journey 😊
Thank you so much for sharing your journey and wonderful pictures. It means so much to people like myself with mobility difficulties and can no longer do walks like this :)
The scenery is out of this world and you've captured it so beautifully - stunning photos. Lovely to follow you on your adventure. I wish I could do it myself! 😀
Really enthralled by that every step of the way and by way of every word and great photo. You tell a good tale on the trail - the people, the weather and lol the rabbits. Good going. All the very best. Mark
Thoroughly enjoyed coming across this beautiful video on a Sunday morning with coffee & breakfast. Your narration was joy to listen to, the photographs were amazing giving a true perspective of such magnificent country. Should you ever write the book, I'd pre-order! Congratulations on a wonderful walk, and enduring such weather challenges. God bless
Ah, thank you so much Malcolm, you are very kind 😀 It was an amazing and memorable walk and I'd love to do it again 😀 As for a book, that's an interesting idea.... Every blessing to you too Malcolm.
Ah, thank you so much! I'm so sorry to hear about your achilles and I wish you a speedy recovery. I had the same issue many years ago whilst backpacking the Cotswold Way 😔
@terryyarrow1230 It is what it is. Trouble is healing takes an age as one gets older, and then when it finally heals you are so unfit. Was great to watch though. My late father, many moons ago, walked the Pennine Way twice...with many school children in tow. Wouldn't be allowed today. Years after he'd completed it, I met some ex pupils of his who had walked with him. They said it was absolutely brilliant...probably coz they went in pubs lol. I still have his multi coloured bobble hat that he wore.
@@mrchuffachuffa7864 Yes, I can identify with that. I'm in my mid seventies and I always say that I lose my fitness much quicker than I used to, and then it takes longer to build it up again 😱
@terryyarrow1230 If I had a hat on I would raise it to you. It has inspired me to walk some more over the winter. Just into town for a coffee or beer each day. Once again, thanks for posting. I feel so sorry for those souls who have never left their cities. So ,so sad.
Loved your account and filming of your trek across England. I’m doing it i think next may late may. Taking my dog and camping and wild camping any advice from someone who’s done it would be much appreciated. Loved the video. Thank you.
Thanks Stephen 😀 My main advice would be try to get better weather than I had 🤣 Pubs are often a good bet for semi wild camping - I pitched up in two beer gardens. I also slept in a farm outhouse! There are some good high level wild camping spots, Grisedale Tarn and Angle Tarn to name but two - sadly the weather was so bad that I couldn't use any 🥲 Despite the weather, I absolutely loved the C2C and would def do it again. Hope you enjoy 😀
Well, I'm never too heavy on my footwear but I still manage to get through some. I run them into the ground and they are usually patched up, plus I make use of sales - get to keep the cost down 🤣
All is revealed!... I have been watching your videos starting from the oldest and instantly something in my head said 'I know this person' but you were under the disguise of long hair and a beard, also it's been about 25 years... Now in this video without the beard , I can see it's Terry From W.C.C... As alway great photos, are they taken on your 2¼ square?
lol, you got me 🤣 Now I'm at a disadvantage because I don't know who you are other than dafadowndilly8919 - so, follower of mine, reveal yourself 🤣 And no, def not taken with my Bronica, that's way too heavy for backpacking, it would have been a compact camera 😀
@@dafadowndilly8919 lol, I wondered if it was you from 'daf' in your RUclips handle 🤣 How could I not remember you when we used to shoot portraits together 😀 Happy days! Send me an email - terry.yarrow@gmail.com 😀

Great video sire. I moved to Cumbria a few years ago and planned to do that trek. Sadly , tearing my achilles has put the idea on hold.

How many pairs of hiking boots, do you get through in a walking/rambling season and when on routes as long as this one?
