After 8 straight hours of attempting that intro riff, you were right, that wasn't even funny. 😂Thanks for the great lesson, finally got it!
Awesome! Glad to hear it Eric. Keep Rocking' Brotha!
Sir, this tutorial is OUTSTANDING!!!! As a beginner, I have taken it slow and have gotten better due to your experience with the guitar. Yes, it takes time and effort, but it's worth it. Thank you so much for being a patient teacher. You are the best that I have had the opportunity to learn from. Thanks again.
I've been playing guitar for 3 years. This isn't for beginners and I even struggled playing this. Just because it is "easy" for you doesn't mean it is easy for everyone. Good tutorial although. My parents love Ritchie Valens and their faces lit up when I played it for them. Thanks!
“im gonna play it through really slow” goes full speed
Came here 5 years late to say your pfp is pretty cool
@@awesomedreamfangames8981 dam glad u did i had no idea i had this many likes
it was very easy for me to learn in 10 minutes but that's because I'm an intermediate player. very good lesson.
Tip for beginners: Your left hand won't keep up with your right hand naturally, it takes practice. Take it real slow and then go faster. You can finger the intro instead of strumming it as well. It's the same notes but picked instead of strummed.
redvsblueviewer that's the thing, once you get past the beginner stage, this stuff gets very easy
Well said :)
I’m struggling with the main part strumming pattern, I following it down down up on c etc it just doesn’t sound like the song
Not if your left handed
@@Generic_Taco lmao
Brilliant I've heard a couple of ways to play this. C F and G is how los Lobos played it. Ritchie Valens originally used A D and E with capo at 3rd fret
This is gonna be my first song performing and learning I just got into a class for guitar in August and after 8 times listening to the beginning I got it
That’s awesome!!! Nice work. Yeah all it takes is some repetition now and you’ll have it down 100%!
Great tutorial, if not really SO EASY, for us newbies !!!!
Could you do a close up of the palm mute element..
Totally not easy, but I'll try again later when I get a lil better
Okaaaaay I got it, you just went a lil too fast, but yea thanks a lot :D
he dinot go that fast its ocay
Hey buddy, can you do it now?
😂😂😂
I know it's hard but never give up if you want to learn it you have to try it
Your a legend brother, I always dreamed of playing this. Thank you for helping make my dreams come true. You Rock 🍻
Read the comments and got scared, then tried it and it was pretty easy. Thank you, gives me confidence
this is actually helping me so much. i found my guitar today and this video is helping so much!! thank you! Im a beginner but ive been practicing a lot and im starting to get the hang of it:)
one of the easiest he says......
All I hear in my head when he plays is “ Bamba, bamba. Una poca de gracia! “
Been practicing this for the past month. Slowly making progress.
Depending on your level of playing
Pretty easy If you know all the chords
It would be fun they said
Please have a tutorial for We Belong together and Donna by Ritchie Valens
For real
I could show you we belong together I know how to play it
Smk_clan can you drop the chords ?
thanks for your videos, I am learning some much, now don't take this in the wrong way but the song goes...
para bailar la Bamba(x2) se necesita una poca de gracia, una poca de gracia y otra cosita hay arriba y arriba.... just helping.
and again thanks for the free video you are awesome!!!
+Cecile Daley No Entiendo.... Lol! Thanks Cecile! Glad my videos have been helping you out :) Keep watching them, I've got plenty more on the way and keep up the practice! I'd love to see some videos that you post of you playing some songs ;)
Great video :) As a beginner I was able to replay through the specific pieces and figure it out step by step. And now, I can sort of play La Bamba :)
I saw you posted in 2013 I just found it! Thank you very nice.
Love the break down and just an FYI, Richie V. Didnt speak Spanish either 😎
He sand la bamba in spanish
@@juanlucena2347 yes he did sing the song in Spanish.....but didn't speak Spanish fluently...so history studies state that is...
@@edwardlong7773 then he spoke spanglish then makes since
Juan Lucena Richie was Mexican American so yea
well spongebob was a sponge
What guitar is that? It rings so beautifully!
Can you teach me proud mary by John fogerty
i wouldnt say SO easy, but good song and good lesson ;3
Rocky Dang Ha! Fair enough... how about "Easy as possible"?... ;) Thanks Rocky
The intro is pretty hard for beginners
practice practice practice!!!!
I've been playing for one year, just practice a lot.
Did it in 30 min
Difficulty is relative, and so is the term beginner lol. I've been playing guitar 7 days total, this is not easy 😂 I'm struggling through treacle with cord changes in knocking on heaven's door FFS 😅 and that song is sloooow tempo
@@1invag how's the playing now?
I found an even easier way of playing the intro just by chance, Capo 3rd fret and play the rhythm with your finger using G, Cadd9, D. You have to use your finger as the pick digs in too much at speed. Playing for change use the same method and chords for the intro and verse. G, Cadd9, D.
You can use C for Cadd9,
This helped so much going step by step thank u
Good guitar lesson. Thanks!
Thanks so much! It'll take loads of time. And it is hard for beginners hahahahaa. But I guess it comes only with practice :-)
+siddarth kamath This is true! Thanks Siddarth! Keep Rockin' and keep practicin' buddy!
great stuff and thank you ! Now it is time for you to master your spanish.
The fact that u can voice high notes is cool af
Ha! Thanks Vishal!!! I appreciate it :)
This is so hard omggg . I’ve been trying for days
This is easy?😂😭 it's so hard i'm crying blood... Thumbs up for the vid👌🏻
vey good amazing love from india
Great song love it thanks 😊
i got it in 5 minuets so easy, i've always loved this song never realised it was so easy to play singing it is an issue tho my Spanish is bad words harder than tab Many Thanks for the lesson
John Mcilveen Nice! Yeah singing it is not my fortay... ha! Plus me espanol es no muy bueno... Thanks for watching John!
thank you great lesson.
Great lesson. I find it nice to add in a G7 along the way to spice it up a bit .... G to G7
Me looking at title: finally! Something easy to play...
Me watching begining: YOU SHOULD PROBABLY CHANGE YOUR TITLE 😂
That moment when you don't know the words so you just mumble quietly:)
Gotta love being Mexican
Super late, but I'll tell you that the intro is "Para bailar la bamba...". In English, he's saying "to dance 'la bamba' " or "in order to dance the bomb".
i learnt the lyrics in one night its fucking easy git gud theres so few lines
Good thing Im Mexican lol
🤣
That’s I really wanted to learn this song and now I do
like your lessons
Awesome 🤩
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"la la la la la bamba" EZ version
"Poquito español"
"Para bailar la bamba" right version.
I should have scrolled down 😄😄😄
True true
Ypu laugh because he doesnt know a foreign language?
Stupid.
Do you speak Vietnamese?
Very very easy love this
Very good
Anyone know what type of Martin guitar that is? Sounds great
very good thx
Thanks very much for the beautiful 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💎💎💎🍷🍷
Thank you!
How do you tune it like yours??
I learned in 30 minutes tops and I considered myself a beginner, so I suppose I've finally hit a somewhat intermediate level
Congrats Bud! You did it! That's a big step.... You just unlocked a whole new level of music to learn my friend ;)
GuitarMadeEZ.com And it wouldn’t be possible without guys like you! You and many other guitarists on RUclips are greatly appreciated, a self-taught fellow like me wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for guys like you. Rock on, sir.
Newsmales how long had you been playing when you posted this comment ? It's been 2 months almost for me and I'm trying to learn
lil chino310 11 months. It’s a very laborious process. Though, it’s not about how long you’ve been playing. It’s about how you use that time. Practice sufficiently, and you’ll reach far greater results in far shorter time. Just keep at it, and good luck to you.
Newsmales thanks man, I usually try to practice about 2 hours a day. I have E5,A5,D5,C, Am,E,Em,G chords down, still need just a tiiiny bit of work. I'm currently trying to work on D chord and A chord. I've been practicing for 2 months already about, you think I'm on track or behind ?
You do any jack Johnson? Maybe the song home
+Chris Green Sure, I got a couple lessons, check them out! I'll add "home" to the list. Thanks for watchin'!
Thanks for the lesson 🍻
No worries! Of course!
Very good thank you!
Thanks again! You always leave me the kindest comments :)
really simple tune but still is good to know. should probably do oh donna or we belong together now :) btw thanks for the lesson
No problem Polly!
polly jagger Jorge Aguilera did a tutorial on "we belong together" in case you didn't know
WOWWW MANNN VERY GOOD. MUY BIEN....
When you move your fingers down the third time, do you strum both strings simultaneously??
This is the best lesson for La Bamba I've come across. Thanks Man :)
What strings are you using and what gauge?
Thank you! I appreciate it. Yeah alot of them make it hard to understand. I'm glad you liked mine. I think in that video I had 11's on my guitar. The loose sound quality usually at about 10's and under on acoustic
What people most often get wrong are the lyrics. It’s in Spanish. My high school Spanish didn’t let me down when my band plays this; Para bailar La Bamba, se neciste una poca de gracia por mi patri etc etc.
can someone explain where your fingers go for that f chord
Try this lesson on a left handed guitar yourself, that way you might understand what beginners have to learn. This is not a beginner song.
thats not how it works lol
@@pharmZey it is lol
can you do a barr chord f
Thanks, Amazing
kaiser soulkaiser No problem, Thanks for watchin' Kaiser! Got more on the way :)
getting spanish guitar soon going to learn how to play that
Andrew Daniels It's alot of fun... You'll have a blast! Thx Andrew for watchin'!
***** your welcome
Congrats on 96k
How long is the song playing it all the way through?
Could you do another video of this but slower
Nice!!!
Thanks Michele!
Justin,
Just found your lessons, they appear to be great, but ...
At my advanced age I have to take issue with your comment about playing La Bamba slowly. To my old eyes and ears we are galaxies apart on what is SLOW. ;-}
Maybe I am looking in the wrong places, can't find the tabs for your lessons.
Specifically, where should I be looking?
Thx
I just want to clarify my comment. What I was specifically referring to about speed was at 3:30 in the video where you say you are going to play it 'really slow' - it was way too fast for me. Other slow parts seem fine.
John Shaw Hi John, Thanks for the feedback and no worries. I don't have tabs for that one and pulled the tabs on my site due to some legal issues with tab laws. I'll remember to play it a bit slower, sometimes I forget and those licks are programmed into my muscle memory at a given speed - It's hard to break the habit. Thanks for watching my videos
You are awesome!!
anieification Awwwwwee.... That's nice of you ;) Thank you
rip the legend
Even Bob Dylan mentioned that he was inspired with the C. F G riff in Like A Rolling Stone
Dude what make is that guitar you are using?
great !
1st thing i ever learnd on guitar
Nice I’m trying to do the same but i had a question the 3rd part of the intro how many do you strum
thank you!
Thanks bro
LA LA LA BAMBA! Thanks so much man!
No Problem Bob! Have fun with it!
Easy but good !
Wait so is F
Down up down up or down up down?
Yes Easy and it sounds right. A cuppla tripups on the strokes, why not write out the up and down counts on each chords.
how do i tune my guitar for this song
The intro not hard the F C and G are hard because I don’t know how he’s pressuring the frets I don’t know if he’s pressing with his pinky or not I don’t know if he’s using his middle finger it’s so confusing
Could you do a tutorial of Rain, by Breaking Benjamkn
I'll add it to the list, thanks!
thanks man! just to let ya know, you're tutorials are great!
That's a bizarre looking guitar to me as a 2 year improving newbie using my daughter's borrowed junior-sized Taylor. No dots. Odd lower cut out I keep staring at. Martin?
great lesson! exactly what I was looking for, thanks!
+Coldalaskan22 Awesome! I'm glad you found it. Keep Rockin' my friend!
Thanks!!!
+dimitristr Sure!
it will make it much easier when you use the speed regulator on the video tp scale it down to half speed so that when he says that he does it in "really slow" it actually is in really slow... try it! half speed guys! ;)
just started. lets see how long it takes me to learn this
I like the way you describe it better than others I've found! Thanks!
Do I hit all the strings after during the intro?
Wait I'm dumb lmao
All I hear in my head when he plays is clips of the song!
How do you do the solo?
Super
Twist and shout!! 😆
Im going to play this song for a school project
Can someone explain the positioning for the F he used?
It's F major open chord
Thanks
I’m sorry I use it for twist and shout because I can’t find any good lead guitar for the beatles🤦♂️
What guitar is that ??!!
the chords are C, F, & G. The melody is in the C major scale (no sharps or flats). Basic, easy. I think the timing is what throws many off. Take your time, practice, have patience. Piece of cake!
I ve just learned from another youtuber, the verse he showed was G-C-D both sounds cool but I don't know wht s the right one
