This weekend I got a late start. I had to work on Mandi's car Friday so she could get to work. I used a floating holiday at work, so I had an extra day to make the video. The heavy rains, high temperatures and vehicle breakdowns weighed heavy on my mind.
Unfortunately, I don't have much time to write this description. I'm on my lunch break right now and the video needs to drop in a few hours. So I think I'll end it hear.

I completely understand! I get people asking me all the time, "Where Toby in this video?" We are starting to get a few videos of us together built up. But years, there are a few years with no Toby, and the videos feel different.
I am a fleet maintenance person for the company I’ve been with for 22 years . The fireball that hired me told me mechanical failures happen in threes. If you have 3 in a week , you won’t have any for a while. After 22 years i noticed that old guy was spot on 95% of the time. Sounds like you had your 3 this go around. By the way….when you walked out to the lake and the view where you couldn’t tell where the water ended and the sky begins was amazing!

I appreciate that! I was gonna try making smash burgers on a cast iron plate over the campfire. But it was too hot to eat. I threw the burger in the freezer. I'll save that for next time. I've never had a smash burger, but they do look good!

Hi Kenny & Toby wow what a week you had, that is hot for you guys it's been 106 here and dew point 85% crazy hot our pool is 89. I am not built for the heat 6'2" -300lbs but I do live in FL for past 25 years I am from MA. That lake was huge and 14,000 islands is sick LOL. I could not imagine being in those temps! The cattle, hogs, and horses must be effected as well. I bet your farms are set up differently to handle those temps. Our animals would be seriously stressed out.
we have a lot of huge pole barns on farms to get them out of sun this summer has been rough one

I know what you mean about the temperature it's up to 30 yesterday and today to hot for me.
I have found out from yesterday going to the hospital that I have to have my gallbladder removed, but there's a 12 month waiting list, but I have just filled in a online questionnaire, so I do not know if dat is a good thing or not. I will letcha know.

I really appreciate your offer! I'll be tackling the truck Saturday. I was able to get the Traverse and the Cherokee going. I decided to pick-up new pads and rotors all the way around. I picked up the caliper yesterday. I still have to order the radiator for the liberty. It's all coming along, slowly but surely.

When you switched from the GoPro to the DJI the difference was really noticeable - much sharper with better color saturation and detail. Your editing skills are also top notch. Thank you for the support and encouragement. So I'm thinking about recording this weekend while I get the truck going. I might answer some of the most common questions I get in the comments. I'll probably include some Toby time as well. I think I might use that at the first Patreon video. It probably wouldn't do well on RUclips because it's out of the truck camper niche, but the folks that follow along every weekend hopefully will enjoy it. That's the plan. Win win anyway you look it.when you put up a Patreon video, only members can see it and it doesn’t effect the algorithm that your regular videos do.I suggest you start off with just membership cost. $1 Those members get all the behind the scenes fun that regular viewers will not see. My friend has a patreon account, he has tiers. Tier 1 pays $10 a month. They get the perks of a bumper/window sticker, a tshirt /hat and an occasional shout out. Tier 2 is $5 dollars they get stickers and a mug I think. Tier 3 gets stickers. My friend goes live for his patreons once a month or every two months so patreons can ask questions in real time.
Even with those low prices, he has enough to pay for his gear and other things related to his channel. He also has a VIP at $25-50 they get all the previous perks of the tiers, but also get their names on the credits of the video with a special thank you.
So basically, if you were needing an expensive part replaced etc, not only would you have your monthlies, but we would be allowed to send more help just because we want to.
I know this has been hard for you to believe that what you do for us is a gift, a well looked forward to tuesday night view. Many here value your work, your easy going nature and all fun and adventure in between. @THHARRIS I think those are great ideas! I have dreaded the idea of doing a live chat. I'm a bit introverted. But I think having a live chat with a smaller group onPatreon would be fun. I also like the idea of getting some stickers made up. I think the Patreon videos will be more behind the scenes stuff. The type of stuff that would confuse the youtube algorithm, so posting those videos on Patreon would be perfect.

Certainly praying for you dear. Gosh things can fall apart quickly! I've seen so many times one vehicle will break down or develop problems and the other vehicle(s) tries to one up it. I totally understand about the shorter video, it's just been too hot in almost all of the country. Staying safe is most important right now. If you don't get a video out we'll miss you two but we'll understand, things need to get done- they pile up quickly if you don't keep at it. Do what's best for you and your family. Rough one for you this week but you made the best of it! I love sitting by that campfire too, but once the bugs find you, that's it for me too! Incredible the bond now between you and Toby, the way he looks over to you, says it all!
Toby is a one in one thousand dog. So loyal and calm right from the beginning. I say this because of the last dog I had who was like Toby. So human like, smart, and loyal too.

I would never have thought this many people would be following along on the weekends. The numbers don't seem real. Being a bit of an introvert, I definitely don't think of how many people are watching when I record. I imagine there are 2 or 3 people behind the camera, and I'm sharing a little bit of Minnesota with them. I'm humbled by the number of folks who enjoy hanging out with Toby and me.

I come to realize there are more people watching for Toby compared to me or the camper. Toby is first, followed up by the shots of nature. My analytical data shows a lot of people tune in for the cooking segments and folks wanting to see what it's like inside the camper. I'm the only fixture in the videos that could be swapped out without much detection by the viewers. 😆

We had a great party. A lot of family and friends showed up. We don't get a chance to visit as much as we should. It was nice to catch up with everyone. Good food, good conversation, and Adelle was super happy. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

I feel you Kenny about the heat! The older I get I just can't tolerate it anymore, its not the temperature as much as that humidity. Can't wait for fall and winter! Great show even after all the bad luck. We have all been there.
I agree. It can be 90 degrees out and absolutely beautiful. Finding some shade is all you need to cool down. Other days, when the air is as thick as a sauna, 90 degrees is miserable. I'll have a river of sweat running down my back while sitting in the shade not doing anything.
