We love baked potatoes on the campfire. We poked holes with a fork, soak them in water for 30 min, coat them in olive oil, add some water (tsp) to the foil, salt, pepper, and patty of good Irish butter and grated Parmesan cheese. Wrap loosely in foil for 30min to 1 hr depending the size. Sometimes we have huge ones and cook it with just water, butter and salt and pepper.. then scoop out the potato with a melon baller mash it up and mix with steak diced, cheese, bacon bits, chives, sour cream, butter, salt and pepper to taste and stuff it back into the skin. Or mash it up in the skin once we half it and we cover with chili, onion and cheese! Easy peasy , lemon squeezy ! Only a couple of plates dirty, maybe a bowl.
I love campfire potatoes. I slice up my potato, add salt and pepper, some diced onion, a little butter, wrap it in a double layer of foil and cook in the fire on the coals.
Take advantage of the door-latch offers! You're a real world, full-time user of RV products, and probably not the only one that is curious about the $200 quality.
Baked potato wrapped in foil oil, salt, one hour to cook directly on the coals. I would flip half hour the best baked potato and home fries leftovers enjoy.
I've tried baked potatoes in the campfire 3 times. Haven't had any that were close to your results but will keep trying. Thanks for the relaxing video.
Man what a great camp! I’ve been looking into some spots on the Crow Wing River. That one looks like a gem. Loved the cozy vibes in the bedroom part of the camper on Saturday morning. Looks great in there 👍🏽
Thanks Jack. I think there's 6 or 7 county campgrounds between Staples and Huntersville on the Crow Wing River. This was the 3rd one I've stayed at. Huntersville State Forest has Park Campground as well. It's a nice area up there. The only downfall is that they don't want me driving down the forest tails in my truck. That's why I'm usually in the Foothills when I go to that area.
Beautiful place great food and a four legged friend who can ask for anything more ❤until your next adventure stay safe stay warm and like always god bless
I've never used them before. But I get scolded in the comment section for not having something on his feet. I figured the best way to quiet the critics is to show them I tried.
First time I've seen and heard trumpeter swans, just awesome! Your photography is beautiful, and what a great adventure partner you have in sweet Toby...stylin' in his coat and socks! Just melts my heart! Your campfire meals have really inspired me for the upcoming camping season! Thank you for taking us along to such gorgeous places!
Hi Kenny. I just finished your new video and I really enjoyed it.I didn't think Toby was gonna like the socks, lol. We are waiting awhile even though the wife and I are ready for camping after the winter here in Montana..She doesn't do cold camping. I am 73 and she is 71, but we are in good shape.I do the gym three days a week 5-6 miles on the treadmill, then downstairs and go through all the weight stations,Then put on the mma gloves and spend 15 minutes on the heavy bag with punches and knife hands, ridge hands, elbow strikes, roundhouse, side, front and inside -outside crescent kicks, my favorite. Then the steam room, shower then home. I walk with the wife the other days for two miles.I always worked out, and trained in martial arts for years. We have a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel with 39,000 miles on it and a 2013 Heardland XLT 28 foot 7 inch 5th wheel. We have had it back to Penna and down to Alabama and back but like Montana for our camping the most..If I can't go camping, I can still ride along with you every Thursday. Take care and keep on going... Norm..
Oh perfect !!! Just perfect. I don’t have words to describe how insanely content and peaceful I feel right now. Thank you for another weekly masterpiece !!!
I was really surprised that all four of them were right next to each other. I'm not sure if Toby pulled them off when I wasn't looking or if all four of them fell off at the same time
Couple of months ago I left a comment, saying you inspired me to look for truck camper. Found one bought it and plan on taking it on the week 8th of April. Plan on going to Missouri to see the solar eclipse. Thank you for the inspiration.
I always make an extra baked potato or two. Next meal I slice them, not too thin then fry them in a little bacon grease. You could use butter. They get toasty brown then dish them up hot and put some shredded cheese and bacon crumbled in. Great with breakfast or supper.
Baked potatoes on the fire is something we do every trip, along with roasting buttered vegetables in foil. But for a real treat, bake a sweet potato in foil, make a slit in the potato and fill with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, yummy dessert!
Wonderful video, the scenery was beautiful, I think watching you and Toby just lowered my BP, your voice is so soothing to listen to, Toby is so much more comfortable outside now. God bless.
It's so awesome that nobody else is around! I am partially retired and able to go . Really I am waiting for the snow to melt a bit more. Toby's in dog heaven out there lol , gotta love it ! Yes 14 a night is reasonable for the accommodations
My campground opens in a few weeks. I cannot wait! Like you I’m solo most of the time because the wife still works. I do miss the company but man being in my camper is living. Great video as usual. Cute pup!
It's been quite the snow event. I have a few drives to do, and I open a few drives ways from where the snow plow buried the end. Many years ago I had a property maintenance business. I still take care of a few of my older clients. I have an old 96 Silverado 2500.It has three hundred and twenty thousand miles on it now. Its a good old truck.
@KennyOfAllTrades yea I run a full service lawn and snow business in Clear Lake, I run 2 trucks and one skidsteer, we do both residential & commercial, not to mention we also have a small ranch and raise any were between 10 to 20 head dexter cows at any given time.
Need to find a corer and core out a large potato. Insert a previously dipped hot dog (ketchup, dark grainy mustard, BBQ sauce, sweet/sour sauce, mushroom gravy, ...). Bake and the steam will take care of the steaming/cooking of the hot dog, as the dog also imparts dog and sauce juice into the spud.
Toby has grown quite a bit, now he's a big boy. I love his big boy jacket, he sure looks adorable in it. Great color of jacket for Toby as well. While at the campfire, you should have held Toby in your lap, he was standing next to you and looking up at you, he probably wondered if you were going to. The Swans are gorgeous and so is the river and campsites.
If you DIY, attach wool string or mini-bungee chord to the dog paw boots (front pair and rear pair ... with a connection between both pairs !!! Hard to toss a boot, when the other 3 and backstrap keeps everything snug and in place !!!
Nice spot! We caught a bit of snow the weekend before this one and are bummed we missed this snow, weren’t getting as much as your area (we got somewhere around 4 inches or so)
Toby and I share one thing in common... I'm not fond of cold weather, either. I like Spring/Fall weather, and Daylight Savings Time. Don't like for it to get dark before 6 PM.
Tin foil has two sides. A shiny side and a not so shiny side. Shiny side goes on the inside to better reflect heat. at least that’s what my mom told me!
Kenny love the video. Last fall we upgraded to a used but new to us Lance truck camper busy adding air springs to the F350 can’t wait to leave on a month long trip to the gulf shores in Alabama, New Orleans Arkansas and MO
Beautiful place again. ❤ we've baked tatoes in foil in coals for decades, camping years. Now I slice, with onion, butter pats, in wrapped foil on the grate. Nummy. We're using baby sox on the dog this year....a learning curve for sure! Luv U Toby!! Awesome dad you found. 😊
Little Toby Wan Kenobi. An adorable little pup gifted in the ways of the force. Lol Definitely a great addition to the channel. He's getting big...quickly
Gotta get a cot for Toby so he can lie down next to you w/o being on actual cold ground. Great for in the summer too-he’s not on the ground where creepy-crawlies are trying to nest in his fur.❤
Peaceful campground, steak and taters, a little snow, and the best camp-diggity-dog ! Doesn't get any better. Thanks for taking us along. ps, nice drone footage too.
I just love your Adventures. I look for them every week. They 73 and your show / Utube channel is so enjoyable and calming. Today I want to make the peach cobbler you made. Jo
White Dog is about 5 miles from home. It's where I go if I need to relax. Used to take the dog there for playing fetch in the water. I was there a few days before you were. Swans, honkers and mallards there that day. I'm surprised you had a visit from the county sheriff. I don't see him often but we are on the edge of the county. I have seen walleyes in the river just off the boat launch. Threw everything I could think of but they weren't hungry. I catch suckers in the spring off the bridge in Olyen. Wow, Toby is growing quick. Absolutely, foil wrapped potatoes in the campfire coals..definitely (as well as foil wrapped fish, etc). Great advice for slides. Beautiful area & campsite. Thank you and as always, Be well.
Hi Kenny, I hope you❤️and your family❤️ are well. Toby❤️ is so awesome. What a love bug. YOU won the Lotto with Toby❤️, thank you for adding him to the show. You, Toby, and the truck have magic together. As always, it's an awesome video. Thank you, Dan HAPPY 🐣 EASTER
Hey Kenny, another thing you could do for your baked potato. I slice it up, make a foil pouch, add butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Put it on your coals.
A couple weeks ago I make baked potatoes in the Dutch oven. Wrapped in aluminum foil and covered with olive oil. They were perfect! One hour over the fire
Hey Kenny great videos just a little advice when you do your potatoes don't poke holes just put a little pad of butter in it seal it up with the foil and if you don't poke holes in it they come out nice and creamy just a thought if you'd like to try that it's just like doing them in the oven at home just don't poke holes in them they'll come out nice and fluffy and creamy otherwise keep up everything you're doing I love watching you guys between you and Steve Wallace and I got to go on Steve's page and give him blessings for crazy neighbor passing
What no Top the Tater? My wife is shocked! She’s from Ely MN and called exactly how you’d cook the steak and potato but no Top the Tater, she’s very disappointed🤣
At least he leaves the socks on and walks in them my dog lays down and pulls them off
One of my best videos no politics no doom and gloom
Slice the potatoes and add onions and salt and pepper. Its awsome
Luv the vids man keep them coming Kenny 👍
On this day..of March 26th ..The year of our lord two thousand twenty four....I hereby establish ,
The Toby nap time fan club..!!!!
Long may He reign!
Indeed ❤
All Hail!
Hail Hail, Toby 😝 🐶
I will drink 🥤 to that 😅
I like foil m

Oh my gosh, that sounds delicious!
Toby stands at the door, sees the snow n says, no way man! 😮. My dog does that too....and so do I lol.🍻
I love campfire potatoes. I slice up my potato, add salt and pepper, some diced onion, a little butter, wrap it in a double layer of foil and cook in the fire on the coals.
That’s the same way my parents would always cook them. So good 😊
Wow. Beautiful
Toby doesn’t like his boots but most dogs don’t ..but he really enjoys spending time with his person..
They get used to the boots.
Some actually have velcro straps to help..
If looking g good doggie boots look I to dog sledding. There is where you will find the good ones 🙏
Take advantage of the door-latch offers! You're a real world, full-time user of RV products, and probably not the only one that is curious about the $200 quality.
Toby is absolutely the star of your production. I lost my old tobs Thanksgiving day 2023, it broke my heart. I had him for over 20 years.
Wow, 20 years! That must have been hard for you. But what a long life your pup had. 🐶 ❤️
Baked potato wrapped in foil oil, salt, one hour to cook directly on the coals. I would flip half hour the best baked potato and home fries leftovers enjoy.
Love the video beautiful camp site.
I've tried baked potatoes in the campfire 3 times. Haven't had any that were close to your results but will keep trying. Thanks for the relaxing video.
Some companies who make RV's do their best to build them in a few ways which makes them last for a long time.
Tuesday nights, after I get ready for bed, I curl up with my puppers in the recliner in my bedroom and enjoy the latest adventures of Toby.
Man what a great camp! I’ve been looking into some spots on the Crow Wing River. That one looks like a gem. Loved the cozy vibes in the bedroom part of the camper on Saturday morning. Looks great in there 👍🏽

Hey Kenny, we look forward to watching your video this evening. It's been a weekly ritual. Thanks for taking us along! Cheers! ~M
Beautiful place great food and a four legged friend who can ask for anything more ❤until your next adventure stay safe stay warm and like always god bless
Love the videos, I cook a ton of food wrapped in foil over campfires, just be careful not to overcook veggies.
Dogs don't need socks. 😊 mine only wears them indoors to not slip on the hardwood floors, but they are always kicked off.
I've never used them before. But I get scolded in the comment section for not having something on his feet. I figured the best way to quiet the critics is to show them I tried.
Beautiful camp site - loved the swans.

Down in Florida we call them Border Jumper. They make way to much noise and poop EVERYWHERE.
We kept rewinding & replaying for our puppy, he loved them lol
I enjoyed the swans...great to see things out in mature. I had to share the capture with my 7 year old granddaughter. Perfect way to learn❤😊
me too...
Beautiful river
My family has done steak on the coals (caveman style) since I was a kid. Seals the juices in perfectly.

That was a beautiful place to camp and thank you for sharing it with us. Keep those cameras rolling!
Another great video! That is how we cook our potatoes also.
Toby getting used to his socks..he is a great dog..so lucky to have you
Great little find!
Oh it's such a hard life being a puppy!!!❤
Have a great week sir great video glad to hear you found the socks
I was really surprised that all four of them were right next to each other. I'm not sure if Toby pulled them off when I wasn't looking or if all four of them fell off at the same time
That's funny

That is awesome! What a cool trip to go on!
We bake our potatoes on the fire like that all the time! I like to add an extra on to make home fries the next morning.
We do too! Tastes great.
I always make an extra baked potato or two. Next meal I slice them, not too thin then fry them in a little bacon grease. You could use butter. They get toasty brown then dish them up hot and put some shredded cheese and bacon crumbled in. Great with breakfast or supper.
Toby seems to have doubled in size in a few videos. He is beautiful
Yes he has.
Potato hack, we microwave ours at home, then we throw either on the BBQ or fire just before we serve supper
Adventures of Toby and his Human!😂😂
Spot on
I'm so jealous! You're living the life I dream of.
Kenny. Get Toby an outside bed so he has a “home” to lay by you when your outside.
Toby seems to be getting better about then dark. Such an amazing little dog. Adorable, and great temperament.
Baked potatoes on the fire is something we do every trip, along with roasting buttered vegetables in foil. But for a real treat, bake a sweet potato in foil, make a slit in the potato and fill with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, yummy dessert!
I love the slab wood deck you “built.”
Love how you included Toby in the opening credits...
Wonderful video, the scenery was beautiful, I think watching you and Toby just lowered my BP, your voice is so soothing to listen to, Toby is so much more comfortable outside now. God bless.

Perfect time to be there, no crowds! Beautiful.
I love toby
Awesome videos with great content and editing. keep it up!
Sorry I'm late I've been plowing snow for days. I'm exhausted. So it's nice to finally relax and watch your video😊
It's been quite the snow event. I have a few drives to do, and I open a few drives ways from where the snow plow buried the end. Many years ago I had a property maintenance business. Thanks for another getaway weekend. Peacefully and relaxing. Toby is so cute in his winter outfit!!
Timeline 15:00 I do the same to my potatoes but in a ziplock bag in the microwave. Works great
Just love Toby and how he adjust to what ever your gonna do!! Makes miss my Maggie!❤❤❤

Very cool
Hey Kenny, beautiful spot. Saying hi to Toby as well
Toby is growing like a weed! Lovely video, as usual. So peaceful and the quacking of the ducks makes it even better.
I was surprised that you’ve never done potatoes on the campfire like that. We did that and hobo meals when I was a kid. It’s a staple!

Toby needs garters to hold his sock on! LOL 🤣
Love Toby

Enjoyed again, Kenny and Toby❤
Nice spot! We caught a bit of snow the weekend before this one and are bummed we missed this snow, weren’t getting as much as your area (we got somewhere around 4 inches or so)
If someone doesn't make them already, you should make little sock holder / garters that attach to the hoodie so they are held up.
Great idea
It's Tuesday ty kenny n toby your are lifting my spirit I greatly appreciate your videos
Toby and I share one thing in common... I'm not fond of cold weather, either. I like Spring/Fall weather, and Daylight Savings Time.

Looking forward to a new Kenny and Toby video ❤❤🎉😊 Have a blessed night everyone 💖

I Do potatoes on campfire all the time, I don’t use olive oil, I throw in a chunk of butter and salt and pepper for an hour, the best potatoes ever
My husband grew up in Sebeka, and his father helped build Little White Dog campground as a young man. We are looking forward to camping there soon.
Taters ,corn on cob, lots things you can wrap foul around and fix over a fire with coals only way ive ever cooked lol!
Little Toby Wan Kenobi. An adorable little pup gifted in the ways of the force. Lol Definitely a great addition to the channel. He's getting big...quickly
I call him that too! 😆
Hi Kenny what Awesome Amazing Scenery the Food 🥘 is mmmmm delicious good
We thought maybe Toby was thinking his boots were food, lol. We giggled. We’ve cooked potatoes in coals before too, nice on cooler camping trips.
Gotta get a cot for Toby so he can lie down next to you w/o being on actual cold ground. Great for in the summer too-he’s not on the ground where creepy-crawlies are trying to nest in his fur.❤
Heyy Kenny and Toby nice campsite beautiful view,I'm with you Toby I want nothing to do with the snow lol, thanks for sharing stay safe
Your meals ALWAYS turn out great Kenny. You make the whole thing look so peaceful. Thanks for what you provide to us! You & Toby stay safe and warm!
Thanks so much
Thanks Kenny, we can't unsee that toilet 😂😂😂
That was nasty. I was going to mention the artwork someone left behind. That's what drinking Bush Lite does. I've seen it in many vault toilets.
Such a beautiful camp ground. Thanks for bringing us along. Just love Toby.❤️🇨🇦
Peaceful campground, steak and taters, a little snow, and the best camp-diggity-dog ! Doesn't get any better. Thanks for taking us along. ps, nice drone footage too.
You claim your not much of a cook but everything you make always looks so darn good.
I just love your Adventures. I look for them every week. They 73 and your show / Utube channel is so enjoyable and calming.
Today I want to make the peach cobbler you made.
Jo
He loves his daddy!!!!! I miss my dogs!!!!
There is a hiking trail that starts at the upstream end of the upper campground. I follows the bend in the river and comes out to the road into the place. The campground is occupied in the summer on weekends. Usually empty on weekdays. the big draw is folks taking canoe trips down the river. There are a series of campsites along the river.
Toby looks at you as if to ask where his chair is. ☺️
Wow that was a great shot of the birds on the river!
Awesome video my friend, glad to see Toby is getting over his fear of the dark.cheers.
I'm gonna try that next time! Thanks for the tip.
What no Top the Tater?
My wife is shocked! She’s from Ely MN and called exactly how you’d cook the steak and potato but no Top the Tater, she’s very disappointed🤣
We used to heat rocks in the fire and place potatoes under the rocks. Love , love Toby.
