Kenny you made me burst out laughing. My husband of 25 years passed away in August. When we ran our construction company, if it was cold out he would sing “We’re having a heat wave….” to the guys 😂😅😂😅😂😅 First time in a while a memory made me smile and laugh and not burst out in tears. Thank you!!

Good morning Kenny, I just watched your video where your Duramax froze up fuel. I’ve been running big truck for 37 years. I always use number two diesel but up here in New York State all your truck fuel stops run what they call cut diesel it’s number two but they cut it with Carol, I also use an additive which is called Howles. I believe it’s HOWELS if you use it regularly and if you freeze up, they guarantee the total bill. My 550 cat ran two big fuel filters. I had 300 gallons of fuel on board and I used Howels faithfully. It could be 25 below zero I never froze up it’s great stuff. Please pardon my spelling and punctuation. Good luck on your travels.
Your channel is my favorite, I smile all the way through, unless your video is about Bigfoot and you’re walking around in the dark with scary music on!….anyhoo I admire your cleverness, your ability to get out of sticky situations, and your ever present positive attitude. Oh and that Soup! 😋😋

Ah brings back such fond memories Kenny ......LoL! My first twenty work years was truck/ heavy equip. op. We always had a "winter kit" in the trucks...........1 gallon PowerService, 2 extra fuel filters, fuel separator, filter wrench, starting fluid, alcohol for air lines. Our fuel stop supposedly had winterized fuel...........ha-ha. Doing our pretrips in winter included dumping a Qt. of PowerService in each tank otherwise we would freeze up on the road. It still happened but got use to the routine of getting them going again. One thing I would do is put some Powerservice in the new fuel filter and separator before pumping the fuel back up. Question Kenny: Do you keep your rig in a heated building between trips? Another good video Kenny, really enjoyed your evening walk. Your soup looked so good it's a chicken white/wild rice soup tonight.
Thanks! The truck says outside all week. I have a regular 7.5 foot garage door. I have worked on the camper inside a shed on a few videos, but that's at my nephews house.

Glad she came around and you made it. You considered getting rid of the generator some day if you get new power sources...I'd keep it. It was a hero this trip. Cold does things as you very well know. Take care.

Everyone wins! Next week is suppose to be warmer! Did you end up and eat those beef sticks you found in the fire pit?
When I lived in Hibbing, I had an 01 Ram with the 5.9 in it for a while. Thankfully I had stations in town that sold straight #1. I remember that one year, 06-07, I had like four nights where I wouldn’t shut it off due to -60 temps. I don’t miss driving a furnace, even being in South Dakota now! But I’d quit getting any kind of fuel at Holiday stations. My buddy ran their winter blend in his 7.3 and gelled up every time. Always enjoy your videos Kenny. My dad and I watch every one.
Thank you again for your adventures. I understand your time is limited. I find solitude in your videos. My sister has been dealing with cancer for 16 years. She’s in stage four with a lot of different health and wellness cycles. She’s been declining more since last June. Your videos and the adventures that you take us all on take us away, sometimes far away, from our daily lives.
Thank you Kenny for another suspenseful camping video. You are far braver than I would be. Even as a Minnesota 'boy', you wouldn't find me out there in those temperatures camping. "No, Siree Bob!" Thankfully, "We're havin' a heat wave" 🤣and are up to 32F ! Come on spring!

Hello again, Kenny, two things you might try. First any soup you make, try cooking some bacon and adding it and the drippings to your soup for extra flavor. You don't need much. Years ago, when I had my early Ford F350 with the diesel, I had an old mechanic show me to wrap my filters with an electric battery blanket. I used a 110 volt unit and used an inverter. I could run the inverter from the 12 volts when the truck was running and plug it in to the generator when parked. It never gave off a ton of heat, just enough to keep the temp above gelling the fuel.
I'm utterly amazed at your abilities 😮, there isn't anything you can't figure out! Wonderful video, beautiful out there even in frigid cold. That soup looked soooo good. Fresh sautéed mushrooms, I'll face plant in that great Minnesota fare. 😊
Well shoot Kenny, I couldn't sleep so I started watching youtube and saw your channel and here I am 7 hours later and still watching your channel LOL. Thank you for bringing us with you on your weekend adventures. I'm addicted to camping, off grid and bushcraft channels and thanks to you I have a new subscription added to my list. I noticed on your door frame there is a badge and was wondering if you were a police officer or firefighter you have the personality for either. I hope your channel is very successful and many years of adventures ahead. Thanks from a retired Veteran.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the videos. I kinda get a bit of grief from the bush craft and tent camping community. It really gets under their skin when I say I'm camping. Lol, so I really appreciate you giving my videos a chance. I was a police officer and first responder for years. I left the department in 2022. I now work for the Department of Public Safety in Minnesota. When I left the PD, I was given some momentos. I received a plaque along with a letter of accommodation. I was allowed to keep all my badges and patches. I have the badge above my door to remind me of where I've been and how lucky I am to be out here doing what I love. I don't talk about my career on the channel, but it's something I'm very proud of. Four years ago, I was taking breaks in my squad watching Taylor Dzaman in his truck camper and Chrome in his van. I wanted that lifestyle soooooo bad! But there was no way I could quit my job and sell all my belongings like so many other full-time RUclipsrs. It's taken me 30 years of going to auctions and yard sales to buy tools. There's no way I'm gonna sell them. So I decided to start the channel to show people we can have a full-time job, a mortgage, kids, and still have awesome adventures, just like our favorite RUclipsrs. Thanks again for watching!
Good morning from Godley Texas, I missed you Tuesday, because there was no cell signal where I was camping. Never a dull moment with your adventures. Your cooking segments are phenomenal. I have no respect for people that don't practice, pack it in,and pack it out. You're right about night walks, sights and sounds are totally different than in the day. Gotta be creative when solo camping, superb fix on the truck. Live life to the fullest. Stay safe and happy travels 😎
If there was a "love" thumbs up i would use it on this video. Man, do I miss MN. The blue of MN winter (cold) days is one thing that I miss terribly. Hubby & I were hoping you'd get home safely & we are so thankful you did. Any snowmobiles around? So very quiet. Thanks so much. I love this channel.
My wife and I really enjoy your videos and watch them every Tuesday. Be careful. I noticed you often repeatedly turn the ignition on for your glow plugs when it's really cold out. I have a Ford but I would think they are similar. Fords have a wait-to-start light that makes no sense at all and perhaps a GM diesel does as well. The glow plugs don't have any correlation to that light on a Ford. The glow plugs stay on long after that light goes out. If it's below zero I leave them on for about 30 seconds. I have a digital voltage gauge so I can tell when they are on.
That is really good information! I'll have to read what GM does. I'm sure I can find a fewGM owner message boards that talk about it. You bring up a really valid point.
Your knowledge is impressive, Kenny! I enjoy your videos so much! I am a former Minnesotan now living in Arizona. Just made a down payment on a Runaway Camper and can't wait to get out there! SKOL!
Oh goodness, brother!! You are the coolest cucumber with all of your truck troubles Ihave ever seen, and you made me a little nervous with the firepit so close to the truck!! 😂❤
Hey Kenny Sasquatch was watching from the woods. He was like, this dude is righteous, if he dont get his truck running ima push him home. Lol Bigfoot had your back!.... C'mon people its just humor.....yall know he is out there!
Kenny, your video’s are enjoyable to watch. However, one of your key abilities each week is communicate calmly, convincingly enough to make me feel what you are experiencing as you camp. For example, I found myself routing for you as you thawed out your pickup. Also, hearing your feet in the snow as you walked in the dark, made me wonder what was coming around the next corner and hill too! Finally, as others mentioned, your attitude seems fabulous! Looking forward to your next video!
Hey ken, just a suggestion Some of those blue paper shop rags, or even a paper towel, wrapped around the bleeder when you crack it saves the diesel from dropping into the ground. I know it's not really a big deal, but it shows conscientiousness. Just saying. Every bit of that diesel fuel ended up in the groundwater.
Loved your positivity to just keep enjoying your weekend. The tropical heatwave song cracked me up. 😂 Soup looked phenomenal, we love wild rice. Always look forward to Wednesday morning coffee watching you and your friend down in Arizona.
I always wear shorts, even in the rain, but, if we have snow, then I MUST put on long pants and I hate that! I dress for MY comfort and strangers see me and they always make rude comments. Hahahaha! 😅 😃 😂
Ken, My dad suffered the same fate as you with his Dodge diesel. When I got his truck camper, I had to find a truck. I found a used 2017 Ford F-250 supercab, 6.2 liter gas engine. I have the same Mr. Heater Buddy and an electric 1500 watt Mr. Heater. Were you ever in Scouts, a leader? Always be prepared. GLHF

Glad that you made it home. You had me concerned.
Enjoyed your video, you made the best out of a bad situation, don't neglect that tooth, my husband just had a emergency with one a few weeks ago, God bless.
I surely hope that your husband feels better by now! 🤔
@@didibolter9362 he could have died, the infection went into his sinus, because the tooth had a root canal and cap he could not tell it was that tooth till his face and jaw hurt bad, a two hour extraction and surgery, thank God we got it before it was too late.
Whaaat??!!! Kenny!!! This video literally could save mine or somebody’s life one day!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I know these things happen now because you’re kind enough to show when they happen to you, Thankyou for showing is how we can possibly get out of situations that come up like this or checking our brakes etc 🙏🙏🙏Thankyou Kenny 🙏 God bless you 💕💕💕
Your positivity is wonderful! I need to see the world around me more like that. Thanks for letting us see you made it home safe.❤ 🙏 You are always in my prayers my friend. Mama Ree and hubby and furbabies
Thank you so much!
You have a very beautiful fur baby there my friend, please give him /her lots of hugs, kisses and belly rubs for me, thank you I sincerely appreciate that! 👍 😀 👍
I get that you don’t like asking people for help (I’m very similar) - but I’ll bet anytime someone asks you for help you’re all over it. That’s why I would say try and remember that people would be the exact same way about you asking for help. Glad you made it home ok!
Kenny you had some trials and tribulations this round. Keep up the great stuff. We look forward to your drops every week.
Glad you made it home
Your knowledge is invaluable. Wish I knew more. I'm afraid I'd be stranded.
I KNOW that I WOULD be stranded!! 😣
Awesome suggestions. I was eating the soup last night and thought......this would be out of this world with bacon. Lol
I’m glad you made it home. Thank you for the video. Stay safe
So happy you let us know you got home safe. Would have hated to wait a week to find out. Keep warm!
We don't miss an episode of yours. We love your videos. Is there any way you can send me your wild rice soup recipe you made that looked amazing
Thanks for reminding me. I'll get it added to the description of the video. It was amazing!!
Thank you
Glad you got home ok
We’re here Kenny! Once again, we were anxiously awaiting your drop! ❤️❤️
Kevin & Mariann
If there was a "love" thumbs up i would use it on this video. Man, do I miss MN. The blue of MN winter (cold) days is one thing that I miss terribly. Hubby & I were hoping you'd get home safely & we are so thankful you did. Any snowmobiles around? So very quiet. Thanks so much. I love this channel.
I have not seen many sleds this year. Our snowfall totals are really down. It was super quiet I the forest.
Nice video as always! Learned a lot about diesel trucks :D
Great video. They make a fuel filter head heater. It might be worth checking out. I'm glad you made it back safe.
I think that is going to be my next project. That may have prevented this problem.
Glad you made it home, I can see how you got your name… you can fix just about any problem. Always a pleasure to watch.
As long as you are safe and well, I'm relieved!
Your knowledge is impressive, Kenny! I enjoy your videos so much! I am a former Minnesotan now living in Arizona. Just made a down payment on a Runaway Camper and can't wait to get out there! SKOL!
Your camera skills are so artistic...music, editing, narration==5 star. Makes me feel like I'm there,
Thank you! That means a lot to me. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
I was glad you showed that you got home safe it was a good video even though you had to work on the truck. Have a great week!
😆 This is awesome!
I believe bryan.
Glad you made it home, brother! Thanks for showing me a part of this country I’ve never seen!
Another interesting and eventful video, thanks for sharing. Thanks for taking us on a night walk...and cold weather comfort food
Another great video! My wife and i just love watching! Thank you so much Kenny. P.S. GET THAT TOOTH FIXED!
Kenny, you gotta rely on folks sometimes , give your friend a call,
Kenny, your video’s are enjoyable to watch.
Thank you for the kind words and motivation. I really appreciate that.
Oh yes joe, Kenny is just FABULOUS! 😍 🤗 🤗 🤗
Hey ken, just a suggestion
Some of those blue paper shop rags, or even a paper towel, wrapped around the bleeder when you crack it saves the diesel from dropping into the ground.
I know it's not really a big deal, but it shows conscientiousness.
Just saying.
Every bit of that diesel fuel ended up in the groundwater.
Heyy Kenny, nice campsite beautiful scenery, the soup looked delicious, so glad you got the truck started and you made it home, stay safe 😊
Kenny, thank you so much for making these most relaxing and wholesome videos that anyone and any family can watch!! God bless you sir!!
Thank you very much 😊
I agree! 🤗 🤗 🤗
Loved your positivity to just keep enjoying your weekend. The tropical heatwave song cracked me up. 😂 Soup looked phenomenal, we love wild rice. Always look forward to Wednesday morning coffee watching you and your friend down in Arizona.
Thanks for another great video and for showing us you got home safe and sound.
Great video as always! Watch you every week. Just glad you got home. Hope you can get that tooth fix. Stay blessed!
Another great one as always thanks Kenny ❤💯👍
Always enjoy your adventures, last weekend it got down to 39 degrees in tampa fla, had to put on long pants, tomorrow 82 , back to shorts😊
I always wear shorts, even in the rain, but, if we have snow, then I MUST put on long pants and I hate that!
I dress for MY comfort and strangers see me and they always make rude comments. Hahahaha! 😅 😃 😂
Was thinking you might be out this past weekend. No question….you’re certifiable. What you won’t do for us viewers! Lol. Thx.
Thanks for the quick response!!!
Ken,
My dad suffered the same fate as you with his Dodge diesel. GLHF
New sub. Love the set up. My dream but pulling a fishing boat with it
