I can't wait for lowes to get this in stock!!! Can't stand the cord on my RIDGID wet/dry vac.
Brooklyn live in our hearts 🥰. I always watch your videos and seeing Brooklyn is very touching. I lost my dog Geode around the same time 😢 Sending you guys all the love in yhe world. And thank you so much for sharing Brooklyn with us.
Ego always making some good innovative and quality products. Very impressed with this vacuum. Specially it being cordless.
I purchased and returned the shop back as it did not meet my needs of cleaning up leaves and acorns on my pool decking as a primary purpose. I have live oak lace bark elm and Holly shrub sized leaves and acorns.. the unit bogged down waffle required Jose clean out of leaves and debris in the filter too often. Rigid five peak horsepower pro series shop vac did not have any of these problems and despite them both being rated at 110 CFM the ridge vastly performed this unit for suction power in this area. Since I know some will probably wonder I use the amp Ego battery when doing this work. On the positive I felt the unit was very high-quality. It worked well for car detailing, but it was a little bit bulky and heavy.. the remote and light are a game changer and should be industry standard for any shot back well done on that part Ego
Howdy Al, this video was so intuitive, when spring some and funds are available, you should get there 3,200 psi pressure washer, see what that bad boy can do, I also wanted to speak on this vacuum, I have an older style shop vac which is probably about 15 years old, it works okay but now I might go and get this based of off of the review video here, each test push it to its limit but the vacuum held strong. Have a great weekend my friend. The first video to get my day started and I’m feeling all sorts of positive
Wow! EGO really thought this one out👍 Al, great review.
I hope you get the new Ego 22" push mower as soon as it comes out. That thing is insane! I'm buying as soon as I see it.
Outstanding video once again!
Always love watching your videos , this is definitely something I would like to add to my ego products , would be so practical.
Thanks Brian hope you had a good holiday
@@TechMadeEzy thanks Bud , happy belated Thanksgiving , hope you had a great day
got the 6 gallon Milwaukee , works great but i want this one
Very impressive, may have to get one 👍…
I really like my ego products. Leaf blower, string trimmer and 18 inch chain saw. I would like to use this for my car detailing. I use the leaf blower to dry my car and i have 4 batteries already because i bought the chain saw kit with two 5 ah batteries. I would love to try this machine out.
Pretty nice and well thought out design.I think that squeegee would work much better on a smooth concrete or tile floor instead of that rough patio surface. For that job an EGO blower would be a better option. I'm wondering if their literature designates how the capacity is defined, because it should state for liquid and dry if different. It would be interesting to find out what that filter was initially designed for.
Don't remember seeing anything about the filter cleaning in the video. The green button near the battery and fit the hose over the fitting near there as well.
Not overly impressed, but I am always interested in adding to my Ego collection (5 tools). I'm gonna give it some more time in "the field" to see additional customer reactions.
1st - Interior isn't smooth, just like the underside of their lawnmower (which I have), which makes cleaning more difficult than my cheap Rigid Shop Vac.
2nd - $50 for replacement filter? That's ridiculous. I'm no Rigid fanboy, its just what I happened to buy years ago, but I can get filters for less than half that.
3rd - $300 with no battery or charger? That's very high.
4th - The last time I spoke with their customer service, it didn't go well. They're the Tesla of cordless tools, but the cost premium is high.
I appreciate your review. Thank you.
27:00 "you don't need anything more than high"
That is because because πr squared. The opening of that crevice tool has a very small surface area.
Already have one vac master beast pro hooked to my ego power station. Works great for areas without a plugin nearby.
That’s what I’m thinking. With a Nexus Power station any existing corded shop vac can go anywhere. And the corded models are more powerful than the Ego.
Brooklyn what a dog, I would miss him/her too.
She ❤️
The only issue I am seeing is the hose diameter looks a bit small.
That said, I really like Ego products. I have the 765 CFM blower which is great.
Great video Thanks from Canada.. 👍
Thank you very much
Great review! FYI it looks like there's a spot to store the remote in the top compartment (under the green translucid cover)
Thanks
Definitely looking forward to this along with the power washer. There should be a way to switch between high and low using the handle button. Maybe cycling the button or hold it down for a few seconds?
no from what I’ve tried, just whatever mode you are on to turbo or stop start the unit back up which is fine. I would have liked that so I agree.
Thanks!
Wow Michael thank you! I’m soo glad you like the video, are you on the EGO platform now?
Excellent review Tech! I like it,.. but I couldn’t justify the cost for what you get. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks, Lindsay
I hear you, if you are in the ego ecosystem and already have batteries some might but some might not because of cost
I’m now just waiting on ego to make an air compressor.
I wasn't planning on switching to Ego platform until I got their riding mower but as soon as Lowes gets this in I'm buying
I wish I had more lawn to get one of those!
Awesome video TME! I am surprised it only took half of the 9 gallon of water to shut it off. Did you try turning it on again to continue and see if it would take more in or does it keep shutting off? I definitely would buy this for cleaning the engine bay off my car, vacuum the car, & other construction work I do around the house. See you on the next one bud
@FreshCutzlawn I would agree with you on this. @TechMadeEasy did you try maxing out the water volume on one setting? All of the mowers have limits where if you overload them, they "stall out" and the batteries flash. I am eyeing this for my collection of ego products as well.
Can you do a video of using the blower capabilities on it, please
Great video! Just ordered mine from ACE Hardware….Lowe’s doesn’t carry them yet. I will be throwing my rigid out
Thanks, let me know how it goes
Another excellent review. I love this channel. Your reviews are so detailed. Thanks for making these videos (my wallet doesn't thank you though).
Michael thanks soo much! 👍🏼
Nice Review! Question: Is the filter HEPA? Thanks!
Thanks yes the filter is hepa not sure if the unit meets hepa requirements but the filter is
Thank you for the video. For something marketed as a wet dry vac this looks really impressive. Every attachment seems to have a well thought out storage location. I have used a few different brands of wet dry vacs and attachment storage is basically an afterthought. Nothing really stays where it is intended and as a result get lost easily. I like the feature set this vac has. Some of the features the Ego has you normally would only see on dust extractors. The filter looks like the one on my Festool CT48 dust extractor. I wonder if they are compatible. I don't know if this has one available but my Festool has a filter available specifically designed for water. Do you think putting a water specific filter in the Ego would allow it to suction up more water? I like that this came with a bag. Back when I worked construction and I was cleaning up jobs, the biggest problem I had was the filter on the vacs would plug up. When the filter plugged up the blower would start shooting out dust. Not ideal when you are trying to use the vac to clean. When I picked up my Festool I was super impressed at the lack of dust that got blown out the exhaust. I have a theory that the bag is essentially acting as a pre-filter to the filter. I am thinking the Ego when used with the bag should perform much like my Festool or other higher end vacuums. I am hoping the Ego has the bags available. If so that would make for a really good value to help prolong the life of the filter.
Hi thanks for watch, yeah not sure if a specific filter would help but so far I like the quality, I also like the pressure washer.
👍👍
I like the review overall. I'd like to see you use the smaller, sort of square, attachment on the floor of the car instead of the crevice tool. I think most people would use that other attachment on the floor of the car saving the crevice tool for crevices. Might make for faster work on the floor using the other attachment.
Does the remote have a battery? If so, what battery is used?
Thinking capacity is for dry since you don't want water getting up to the 'tronics or motor.
Would be nice to see the lighted crevice tool used in crevices to see how well it lights up those areas.
Would have liked to see the filter cleaning feature in action.
Nice review overall.
Thanks and it looks like the remote has a built-in battery since it comes with a small rechargeable cable I can't 100% confirm that I'm not where the unit is at this point
@23:50 there was water dripping from the vac right under the EGO label. Is that just splashing? Where was that coming from? Great review BTW
Hi thanks
Unit didn’t have any leaks must’ve been some dripping water
The EGO vacuum looks pretty good. My only reservation is the water vacuuming capacity. It looks to be only half of the 9 gallon tub size.
But I noticed it only shut off on turbo… maybe intake on that setting is too turbulent and triggers a relay… I would have wanted to see result kept on low or high.
Looks like a nice wet/dry for residential use in a garage/basement, etc...I don't' like that tube diameter. I can see that being an issue for me so I'll probably stick with my electric Rigid vacuum.
Not to be too picky, but I’m surprised E Go didn’t put the light on the bottom of the bar attachment
so now that it’s shining in your face
There is a key fob holder under the green compartment
Take my money, EGO!
Hey Al - great video!
Just bought this at Power+Parts -- ships in December.
I saw a charging cable in that unboxing -- is that for the remote?
Thanks.
Very sorry about Brooklyn -- Had dogs all my life and now have a Yellow Lab, for over a year now, that we got as a puppy.
Be well & stay safe!
Okay great you're going to love it I think it's perfect for home stuff and yes the cable is for the remote
Great - can't wait!
I recently purchased two new cars -- Hyundai Tuscon Limited and Hyundai Santa Fe XRT.
I'll be very conscious about keeping the interiors clean (with 3 kids), so I'm looking foward to this thing to do the trick!
Love your vids, Al -- always detailed & very informative. Thank you for all of them.
Have a great Holiday season -- be well & stay safe!
Prayers to Brooklyn@@TechMadeEzy
Thanks Dino much appreciated seriously ❤️
Another question. The rubber insert that goes into the large floor tool. Looks like it is interchangeable with the brush insert. Where does one store the insert, on the vacuum, that is not being used? Seems like you could have an insert get lost or misplaced if there isn't a place for it on the vacuum somewhere.
No storage option but when you’re not using the wet/dry vac everything fits nicely inside the unit.
Thanks. It is nice everything fits inside. I was thinking that most people won't likely empty their vacuum until it is full enough (except for water) so they probably wouldn't want to store things inside of it. Bummer there isn't an option on the outside of the vacuum for the extra insert.
The size of this unit makes this EGO vac targeted a segment of the market. It looks like a large machine. Many homeowners want a smaller unit.
Good video! One thing, it will hold 9 gallons dry. It has limited wet capacity to prevent water from being sucked into the motor.
Thank you
I always wanted a shop vac to have a hose attachment for the drain so you could use it as a pump if you had some minor flooding in the basement or elsewhere.
Do you know the inlet port size? I am looking for a new vacuum for detailing and wondering if i can hook up an extractor kit to it. The extractor kit will only go in a 2.5" inlet. Can you take a measurement of that inlet and respond to my comment please?
Wish I could I’m traveling but here is the hose size
1-7/8-inch hose
I’m sorry, I must have missed it, what happened to Brooklyn?
ruclips.net/video/MfV5D6kQ8us/видео.html
9:45 almost looks like a lightsabre :P
It is 😎
do they make bags for it
Yes it comes with a bag, haven’t looked into replacement bags yet
How long is the hose?
Traveling not able to measure it and it's not in the manual or the website
How could they come so close to perfect, they did everything right except no place to put the squeegee
I see it leaking water out of the bottom already
Water spilled over , I didn’t experience any leaks
Okay, for the real question. What's the life expectancy of your battery? 🤷♂️
For me it’s been years, I have 7.5Ah batteries from 2019 that still have about 75% left on them.
500 is a decent amount of money to spend. I don’t think I heard your opinions on if it’s worth it or not. So is it? Or is this a channel where you won’t say anything negative without permission from suppliers and/or because of monetary relationship with supplier?
Scott I hope you saw the full video especially the beginning part where I tell people that this is not sponsored I went out and purchased this on my own like I do with most of my ego reviews. If you did watch the full video then you saw how hard I worked to give everyone all the information they need. I used it and I actually like it but I'm not one that is going to push a product and tell people I highly recommend it allow them to make the decision on their own. If you're new to the channel well welcome to you and hopefully you will see the quality of videos we do. Many are quick to judge on us influencers as we are called it's a shame because they don't realize how hard we work.
$500 with battery $350 with out
Actually $299 without the battery and charger
