I recently made the switch to battery lawn equipment, and I'm really impressed with the EGO brand. Looks like I'll be adding this vacuum to the EGO collection. I have the LM2114 mower, LB6703 blower, and the ST1521 trimmer.
EGO has definitely played a huge role in changing the dynamic of the battery powered lawn game. Their mowers, string trimmers, and blowers have pulled the rest of the industry up to where it is. Thanks for watching.
I have egos top of the line leaf blower, and their top of the line weed wacker. Their products are so good. This was a great review. Soon as I get done hitting the send button on this message I'm going to be ordering one. 👍
You do know you can just dump the dry contents out the hole where it goes in? You can reuse them a few to many times depending on how fine of dust is produced. No reason to toss the bag each use.
They did it right with the extensions sliding under the body. Extensions always take up so much room. I want this just to vacuum my house with hard floors
You know, Ego is the only brand I know that doesn't heavily advertise itself as brushless. You basically have to either find it on the box with the BL logo or you have to find it on the spec label found on the tool. The misting fan never mentioned itself as a brushless tool, but you can find it hidden right where the motor of the fan is.
I would absolutely LOVE to be able to use this in the house on carpet and wish they made a rotating carpet head powered by air flow like the carpet head on my Dyson vacuum. I believe EGO is missing a very large market as there are really no household carpet cordless vacuums with interchangeable batteries. I wonder if I'd could somehow rig the Dyson carpet head to fit this..?
3d print an adapter. easiest would be to use the airpowered dyson head, the new heads are electrically driven and would require some more work to also provide power.
Tool tests are always hilarious. If I saw someone vacuuming up that entire pile of saw dust instead of sweeping/scooping then vacuuming I would shake my head at a minimum lol. Awesome video though and this vacuum is friggin sick
lol at $500 Yea right! I'm perfectly happy presing a button and turning it on. I also clean my vaccume every time I use it as it comes with an easy to clean round washable filter...
@@mos8541 No shit asshat, I just said that I liked the fucking thing. Milwaukee came out with the cordless vac first so I bought it and was hoping for a real intelligent answer about the remote.
I don't think you should be disappointed with the Milwaukee either, that's a great vac. That one and this EGO are the two cordless vacs really leading the charge on getting real work done. Yes, this EGO has some really cool features, but I wouldn't rush out and sell the Milwaukee yet. Thanks for watching.
Quality casters are important. The power looks amazing. Storage is nice. It looks cool. Man, with all of the features, what's not to love? That said.... a remote? I mean, i guess, but maybe save a few bucks for the consumer and leave that out? Or perhaps a less expensive model without that.
The remote is worth it just to use the light with the crevice attachment. It seems very convenient to me. I'm seriously considering getting this unit w/o battery.
@@frommatorav1 I bought it recently w/o the battery. Price is much better that way. I have 7 EGO batteries already. I can vacuum the car in the driveway now without getting an extension cord out.
@@barrybmw6101 with 7 batteries, you don't need anymore. I've got 3, two 5ah and one 2.5ah. I can use my old 5ah battery because it doesn't get much use anymore. I always use the new one with lawn mower to start.
Wouldn't it be nice if they could do the remote start on their mower drive and blade drive as well on all their mowers so they wouldn't have all those cable wires getting bunched up and causing problems like they have on mine every time you fold the handlebars, etc..
The right product is on the wrong platform and should be on the Flex 24v line. Then, the red and yellow brands will come out with a better version to compete. Now the "only" competitor is 40v brand to come out with something.
i love there tools I have a lot of them but there battery fail rate is the worst of anything i have i will not buy any ego products ever again going broke buying batteries.
I agree that is working at max POWER so you definitely need some back up batteries (snow blower & Shop Vac) that being said you have to look at EGO is a long term investment. I have their following tool and batteries: Lawnmower (5.0) line trimmer(2.5) Snow blower 2 (7.0), & hedge clippers. I also purchased a (10.0) battery separately just because I have a large parking lot. I absolutely love their products. I live in Chicago, so not have to pull a chain to start a snowblower sealed the deal for me.
I actually like the vacuum and the power it has, but not the capacity. I have the 9 gallon Milwaukee vac and I believe it holds more than that one, Don't quote man that one, I've never tested it but I think I will😊. Thanks for the video as always.

I was honestly skeptical the whole video because I thought the price point was going to be higher. The combo price is honestly awesome!
Very true, it's not priced crazy, especially if you can benefit from a cordless vac. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews any chance you'll make a video on the ego pressure washer any time soon?

Excellent video ego and flex are taking over the tool industry
What would be nice is to have a zipper at the bottom of the filter bag so you can empty the dry stuff right out with ease..
my guess, they will soon have a better bag option, for a price of course.
🤯

Great review. Looks like a sturdy unit . Wish it had an ac dc optionthat also served as a built in charger

Great, awesome review.
Hard to find those bag so you have a link?
is this able to hook up to tools e.g. circular saw as a dust extractor like a Ryobi wet & dry vac does ??
Is there not a cover for the battery?
How loud is it? Great videos, but you should consider being more consistent with your test per appliance type.
Rigid corded is 84 db, EGO on Turbo is 82, regular is 77 and echo is 72 db.
Damn, I have the Milwaukee version and this EGO is F'n awesome, love the remote! Does Milwaukee have anything like that? Buyers remorse right now....

A bit suspicious that you turned off the camera and then restarted just after removing the bag @ 19:30
All those accessories on the outside gonna be lost in my van somewhere everytime I actually need them

I think it's so people don't leave it on continuously and cycle more often than an AC powered vacuum.

How could they come so close to perfect, they did everything right except no place to put the squeegee
I put it in the extension tube but have to relocate it when I use the tube.
Are there any generic bags anyone has used that fit this vacuum, rather than paying their prices (plus it's out of stock on Amazon right now anyway)?

Try charging your batteries at a slower rate. People on Ego Facebook groups have found it seems to lengthen their life.
I buy them secondhand at about 50% or less of the MSRP. I'd never buy one in a store.
