    Great review Tim, I have owned Ego products since 2016 and no complaints for my home use, and i just recently added the blower 1 step down from this the 765 CFM unit with 5 amp hr battery and charger and it has no problem blowing wet grass off the walkway or driveway and is super lite weight, I have a friend who is a land scraper and made the change to Ego and has 2 of their commercial aluminum deck mowers and 2 of the LBPX8000 with the 10 Amp Hr batteries, and just bought those in April and got to start using them May here in Canada, he said to me the difference alone not having to carry gas/oil mix is just the best game changer ever, he only charges the lawnmower batteries once a dyad it happens while driving from one client to the next, if it is a heavy day he takes an extra battery, the backpack blowers will run all day on the same charge for him so far and loves the warranty, he said none of the competitors offer 2 years on commercial products, I love his aluminum deck mower, on the other hand i can't justify the cost for one, my yard is only 40x120 FT,👍

      Thanks for the kudos. This really wasn't a full review, which is why we didn't title it as a "Review". We were trying to share all the features and specifications, while also showing the solution it provided for a place where noise and fumes may be an issue. We think it's a great first step for EGO's first Commercial blower. They were laughed at years ago when they released their first handheld blower, and now they're the leader in the industry. Thanks again for watching.

    So just curious I’m looking for a new backpack battery blower and green Work has one that has a lower CFM but a higher Newton meter. There’s is saying that it’s 750 CFM 36 Newton meters. So would that make it that much more powerful than the ego?
    Great video thanks I look forward to your remark

    This was a very good review...at the same time, it would be much more helpful to cover the weight difference/savings of using the link versus the various batteries one might use for the tool....it my particular case, a 765 blower weighs 4.6lbs and the 5ah battery 4.9lbs, producing 9.5lbs of dead weight at the center of gravity...your weight of the blower head/link was 6.9lbs, saving 2.5lbs of dead weight, with the difference being twice that much using the back pack, which is truly significant, especially when one uses the blower for 90-120 minutes - as I do regularly going through 2 5ah batteries during the fall leaf season. It would seem that the larger the battery one uses, along with total time used, the more the back pack makes sense.
    Thanks again!

    I’m a BIG Ego fan, but these battery blowers have a looooong way to go before they’re in direct competition CFM wise with their gas counterparts.
    I own just about all Ego Lawncare tools, but I’ll stick to my STIHL BR800 bag pack blower for the bigger jobs.

    If newton/meters comes from cfm & mph then it should be in Imperial, in/lbs. You can’t mix the 2 & I don’t speak Metric. But it is good to know that N.m comes from cfm & mph b. as you said companies like to massage the numbers. Thanks

    I need to see it vs STIHL 800 before I have a real opinion

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  7 месяцев назад

      We wouldn't compare this to the STIHL 800, it's more comparable to the BR500. Although, the EGO has more CFM than the BR500, so it would be better at the larger and lighter stuff, like big leaves. This EGO won't foot the bill of every commercial job, but it doesn't fit a niche for those that are looking for a gas alternative. Thanks for watching.

    The only downside to this is the weight !!! If it was closer to 21,22 lbs. Plus, the price is a little high. I have a ryobi gas and only 22 lbs.but it is noisy !! But also way less money. I have ego push mower, which I love !!!

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  7 месяцев назад

      This is very true, and you are correct. The price is a big hurdle that many won't overcome; however, there is still a fit for this where gas blowers can't be used or is frowned upon. Thanks for watching.

    No way any commercial guys are going to use this

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  7 месяцев назад

      Well, there are already are commercial guys using them. We understand your concerns, that it's probably not fit for every commercial crew or job, but it does fit a niche. There are many municipalities, HOAs, private clubs, etc. that are either requiring electric/battery or they want some sort of noise and fume mitigation. Right or wrong in their requirements, if the lawn company wants to mow there, they need an alternative to gas.
      Many people scoffed at EGO when they first released their handheld blowers several years ago. Now, they are the leader in the field that all the other manufacturers are trying to catch up to. This EGO backpack blower is not perfect and not as strong as the biggest and baddest gas blower, but they took a bold step that reaches deep into gas territory. Just our thoughts. Thanks for watching.

      @@Shoptoolreviews have you ever used a leaf blower to clean off a commercial property? You’d be changing batteries every 30min it’s not a viable solution yet.

      @@jimmyf1312 changing a battery takes about 2 seconds. Not an issue. Just grab a fresh one and put the other on the charger.

      @@LLCOOLJARED1 it does not take about 2 seconds when you’re blowing leaves. You have to stop what you’re doing walk all the way back to your truck/ trailer, get the new batteries and put them in, walk all the way back to where you were and continue. Now you have to do that every 25-30 min

      We can partially agree that this blower doesn't meet all the qualifications of every commercial job, but your point that it "isn't a good product period" seems a bit void of evidence. Can you explain what isn't good? Thanks for watching.
