Had karchers for years, never lasted very long, so went for a Bosch, lasted till just after the warranty ran out, so finally tried a Sealey, had it now for about 8 years, still going strong !👍
Great review. I've got the K7 - not a professional machine I know but it also has the ability to draw water. For me that's really important because my mains water pressure is just not quite strong enough for the machine to work at full power. The solution- have the garden hose running into a big plastic bin and then have the Karcher draw water from the same bin- hey presto, Karcher operates at full pressure!!

Super great review, many thanks, good job, Helping us to choose. I'm in Australia and have a Gerni 7300 which is very similar to the Husqvarna. Mine came with three nozzles standard wide spray, variable spray and turbo nozzle. It also has a 350mm wide surface cleaner with two sorts of jet heads standard and hammer for very dirty concrete. It comes with a spray foaming bottle for use on a car for snow foam but I use my Aussie Bowden's Own snow foam cannon. Bowden's makes a whole range of brass connections to suit many different brands of pressure washer. The pump is aluminium and there's no internal detergent tank. The hose reel has a steel reinforced 12m hose and it was a 7 year warranty. The plastic connections are the same as the Husqvarna just push and twist. Everything is stored on the machine and that includes a little pin type tool to unclog the turbo head if the ball inside stops moving. It's not designed for using potable water, mains pressure only. Gerni even says in the instruction to operate the pump to clear the hose of water after use which is something you can do with pumps made of metal parts. Plastic pumps can't do it as they rely on the water as a lubricant and without water they heat up and melt. Mine is only available in Australia at $740. The others demonstrated here are also available in Australia but are much more expensive than my Gerni. It does come with accessories like an extra 20m of hose and a 15m draining hose to unclog drains. Extra sections of lance tubing are also available if you need to reach higher areas. My Gerni looks very similar to the Husqvarna in the video thumbnail but mine only has an on/off switch on the front. Actually quite cool to see the Kärcher and AVA draw water from a static source ! Normally only see that on the bigger positive displacement crankshaft pumps ! Which normally come with a fairly eye watering price tag 🤣. The Kärcher being a pro model is probably why it doesn't come with any additional "accessories" Karcher use "TIP" nozzles in an M18M / F nozzle holder ! Nice little tip for anyone whom buys one and wants a turbo nozzle but doesn't want to spend £75 on an OEM Kärcher ! Buy a correctly jetted st357 and a 1/4" m to m18F adapter.
Hi there, I've got the karcher model as reviewed in this video and just wanted to know if you have any links for the appropriate attachments for a turbo nozzle? It would be greatly appreciated
The AVA is very good and you can actually buy a extra piece of hoes for drawing water with a filter at the end. It’s only £34 for the hose and filter together.
thinking of buying the husq model.. worried about low water pressure from my outside tap though.. is there a min amount of water these things need and does that side switch allow the machine to be used where theres less water available?
for sucking in water, better watch the manual. You need to unplug the nozzle, so the pump has no restriction and it will suck the water. Otherwise very nice Test man ! good job
Never heard of AVA but I reckon it definitely could be a good competitor if it wasn't so plasticy, however with a 20 year warrantee they must highly rate the build quality? I'm looking forward to the battery test, that could be a game changer! Also I call them "turbo nozzle's"
Look at the Ava range overall before making a decision on the Ava. They are miles better than the Karcher K series models. The warranty is awesome. Even my Go series has a 5 year warranty which you can extend to 10 years. The Smart and Master models come with 10 years extendable to 20 years
@@MachineryNation You didn't mention it - I was correcting a previous message where I stated that the fitttings were M20 - they're not - they're a standard M22 fitting making it easily adaptable.
The water inlet on the Ava is a poor bit of design as it is way too close to the ground and you'll scuff your hand using it. I know, I did it and it's now for sale.
Forgot to say that you can use the ava without the lance and put the nozzle into the gun it self and to put a £700 stihl against the others was no wonder it was fastest😂
Being able to suck water from a tank is a big plus for me. I am on a meter and have water butts so it would be great to have that feature. Whats with the measley 2 year warranty though?! Thats pathetic. I would go for the AVA with its 20 year warranty reading small print of course. Can't believe thr switch broke on that Stihl, bad design?
Ava advised me, as well as active, having the hose full of water and the pump primes, OR using gravity fed water sources work for drawing water from a still source.

Don't know how responsive you are to viewers comments but I hope you can help me figure something out. After watching your video I decided to buy Ava washer. 1. P70 Evo is unavailable, but I think I could go for P60. Same machine just 5 bars less. Tell me if that's a good alternative. 2. I love 20 years warranty but if you look in their shop none - I highlight - NONE of service packs for any of the machines is available. Everything OUT OF STOCK. That doesn't look optimistic to me. Any suggestions? Or maybe you know something more as you've been sent that washer for tests. Appreciate any answer.
Hi, I have not heard anything from them since doing the video. But they now have a new distributor in the UK called ‘Handy Distribution’ so I expect they are going to the transitional phase and getting things sorted. They are good people and will manage the product well. I ope this helps 👍🏼
Really good reviews James, seeing the stihl with the little cupboard for the nozzles and after seeing you break the switch, why don't they design them with the switches also in a cupboard 👍
@@MachineryNation In testing, keeping the conditions and methodology the same keeps the results consistent is all. Didn't mean to ruffle your tail feathers. 🤣😅😂
your test for drawing water from a tank is incorrect. I'm an owner of a stihl 139 Plus and run it from a tank, so please don't say stihl washers don't. you have to submerge the hose in water to remove air from the line and connect it to the machine, run it then it will start the syphon process, read the instruction manual and it will tell you this. Sorry, but I can't stand mis-information when products are being tested, get to know the products inside out before you do a video, I love your content and pleased I subscribed, but just please do a bit more research on products before you make statements, people come across your review and take stock. the 150 Plus, along with others, do pump from a bowser / butt, etc, the trick is flooding the feed hose and then starting the machine up, it takes a little while for the initial run but after that it works fine.
@@MachineryNation The models tested should at least be in the same price range, for instance the Stihl RE 150 Plus is obviously better than the AVA P70, but the P70 is half the price of the Stihl so that makes sense.
Awesome knowledge there, thank you 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation self proclaimed geek 🤓 any questions on anything pressure washer related give us a shout
Our pressure is not great here so I would say you will be fine. I haven’t heard anyone say it won’t work on low pressure.
for sucking in water, better watch the manual. You need to unplug the nozzle, so the pump has no restriction and it will suck the water. Otherwise very nice Test man ! good job
I love my Stihl pressure washer. But for an expensive unit my hose winding handle broke off after about the first 6 months.
Excellent video its how long the washers last in the long run none seem great now adays pto washers are the most reliable
Never heard of AVA but I reckon it definitely could be a good competitor if it wasn't so plasticy, however with a 20 year warrantee they must highly rate the build quality? I'm looking forward to the battery test, that could be a game changer!
Also I call them "turbo nozzle's"
Yeah it’s defiantly a great contender and the warranty is mad! Yes Turbo Nozzle, thanks Jordan 👍🏼
Look at the Ava range overall before making a decision on the Ava. They are miles better than the Karcher K series models. The warranty is awesome. Even my Go series has a 5 year warranty which you can extend to 10 years. The Smart and Master models come with 10 years extendable to 20 years
I've got a AVA p80 it's a great machine...a little bit on the plasticy side but the performance is spot on.......
Is the Ava P60 better than Nilfisk core 150
Great Review. I got the Stihl and love it. Before that one I had a karcher, which is not that Great…
I just ordered this. Defo not 195 psi like it claims no different to a cheap karcher ... what one did you go for
I have the same device as yours, how do I release the foam? Husqvarna pw 450
Use the high/low pressure washer nozzle and turn it down to low - then spray 👍🏼
Great experience thank you sir you so professional
you already primed that hose with the first two machines
Sorry! the fittings IN and OUT of the trigger are M22 - not M20
Didn’t realise I mentioned it, but thank you 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation You didn't mention it - I was correcting a previous message where I stated that the fitttings were M20 - they're not - they're a standard M22 fitting making it easily adaptable.
The water inlet on the Ava is a poor bit of design as it is way too close to the ground and you'll scuff your hand using it. I know, I did it and it's now for sale.
Interestimng review but you missed to include Bosh Advanced Aquatack.
Thank you in advance!
Got the Ava p80 limited edition it's incredible
Forgot to say that you can use the ava without the lance and put the nozzle into the gun it self and to put a £700 stihl against the others was no wonder it was fastest😂
Hi I am from India how I order this types of washer pressure
Being able to suck water from a tank is a big plus for me. I am on a meter and have water butts so it would be great to have that feature. Whats with the measley 2 year warranty though?! Thats pathetic. I would go for the AVA with its 20 year warranty reading small print of course. Can't believe thr switch broke on that Stihl, bad design?
Awesome review ! Would be great to compare Bosch pro 185 vs nilfisk 200.
Ava advised me, as well as active, having the hose full of water and the pump primes, OR using gravity fed water sources work for drawing water from a still source.
Informative video i think personally the ava is a great piece of kit and with the warranty brilliant just 1 question where was the kranzle machine 🤔 i personally own a kranzle 1152 tst best pressure washer on the market for detailing cars and it's been a beast with garden tasks in my opinion think if you tested the kranzle 2160 along with the other would of won hands down the karcher is still and always will be rubbish don't matter how much they try and gloss over it saying its professional model lol
Unfortunately the Kranzle did not turn up in time, it was lost by a currier and we had a schedule to keep too. It is a very good machine.
Water pressure (PSI) depens on if you have waterwell or connected to the municipality water
True, but upon the demonstration in the video the AVA’s psi from a water container was quite impressive.
Our home uses water-well.
Might be a good idea to state figures in lbs/psi/gpm as well.
I've never used an electric pressure washer James but they do look pretty good. 👍
ONLY way to go!!
I’m guessing you have someone to do it for you John? 😉 Norman said he would come help 😂
LoL!! I could stand a visit with Norman but I’ve only used petrol powered pressure washers. 🤣🤣
@@Big_Johns he was nearly going to have a part in this video, but it was long enough as it was haha
Awww, give the poor guy some screen time, help the afflicted. 🤣
The Stihl and Husqvarna are made by Nilfisk.
I have AVA P80, Love it!
So different machines, and specs and price
i would be great to see a video of electric power washers that can tackle a driveway with weeds?
You can put chemical’s through the karcher
Thank you
What about jet USA?
It's a shame you didn't highlight the pistol option as standard on the Ava. Excellent for close up work.
Really good reviews James, seeing the stihl with the little cupboard for the nozzles and after seeing you break the switch, why don't they design them with the switches also in a cupboard 👍
Great point Nev! First time we have broken something in a test 🤦🏼♂️😂
@@MachineryNation 😂😂
Very surprised there's no Nilfisk in there considering they are one of ,if not the largest manufacturer in the world.
The Stihl and Husqvarna are both made by Nilfisk 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation Now you said that I can see some of the Nilfisk influences. Thanks for the reply. All the best.
Rotery nozzle?
Perfect, thank you Phil 👍🏼
Great video.
Thank you Michael 👍🏼
Hi James Nice test we have had Stihl pressure washers for years 👍😀 have used a few different brands Thanks again
Thanks Darran, they are popular machines 👍🏼
Anyone else notice how he went horizontal with all the washers but the Ava when cleaning the concrete the 1st time?
Not deliberate and what difference does it make? 😂🤦🏻♂️
@@MachineryNation In testing, keeping the conditions and methodology the same keeps the results consistent is all. Didn't mean to ruffle your tail feathers. 🤣😅😂
@@korierm74 tail feathers well in place mate. Takes more than that 😂 we get a lot of petty comments so presumed it was another 👍🏼
your test for drawing water from a tank is incorrect.
Erbauer tests please
Are any of them not made in China?
No idea, but check out our latest battery pressure washer video where we have a Devon made machine by Demon International! It’s a beast!
Oh come on dude, the Husqvarna and the Stihl costs twice as much as the Ava. Not really testing equivalent products here.
So you would like a test with them all priced the same?
@@MachineryNation The models tested should at least be in the same price range, for instance the Stihl RE 150 Plus is obviously better than the AVA P70, but the P70 is half the price of the Stihl so that makes sense. I think the results would be very different if you chose the AVA P80 or P90 instead (and both of those are still cheaper than the Stihl).
that husqvarna is just a re-branded nilfisk.
Simple answer is don’t buy any, Kranzle is simply the best Pressure washer you can buy full stop.
karcher cheaper to run 1800watt motor
dirt blaster patio cleaner
I need one to finish the yard haha 😂
Prey you don't need customer services if you buy an AVA machine....Completely non existent
CAR-CHER LOL :D its pronounced "care-jer" with the spanish J
I never knew that! Even Karcher themselves in the UK pronounce it the same as us 😂😂
@@MachineryNation hehe I guess it doesn't matter really, it just sounded funny to me.
Subbed great video.
Thank you Geoff 👍🏼
