    Have had my AVA P60 for over 3 years now. Washing car 2 times a week + other outdoor jobs. It has never failed. Had a little leak in the pistol tube 4 weeks ago. Bought a replacement tube online for 3$ on the AVA site. Fixed it in 2 min. I’m Norwegian so I’m a little supportive to local brands, but this machine is way better than my previous Kaercher that killed it self after a short time.

    I bought the P80 Evo back in the summer - VERY please with it! I'm spending considerably less time actually touching the vehicle and just using water to do what is required (Bilt Hamber Touchless and their Touch on product) The results have been just what I was looking for. The hand 'gun' with the ajustable spray pattern really helps to clean off muck especially around the wheels where the worst of the grime accumulates. Haven't found anything I don't like yet, I'd recommend it 😁😁👍

    Absolutely brilliant pressure washer. I’ve had numerous “yellow” ones in the past, even their high-end models, and been really let down with plastic internals that self-destruct way before they should do in a domestic setting. Always beyond economic repair despite having spent hundreds of pounds to purchase. Even their more expensive “anti-kink’ hoses still kink - not good enough for the price. I have the Ava Evolution and won’t be going “yellow’ ever again. Just a quick word of caution, the top of the range large Avas do put out a lot of pressure. Don’t use auto-stop hose connectors as they will damage the washer and always pull the gun trigger when switching the washer on to avoid a blown fuse in the UK.

    • @shakeysteventon4197
      @shakeysteventon4197 Год назад +2

      Can I ask what the auto stop hose connectors are, you mention? Was building up to buy a Kranzle and stumbled across an Ava review which has captured my interest, plus they are noticeably cheaper but did read about the fuse blowing.
      Are you impressed with the quality and do you use a snow foam adaptor? Cheers

    • @gizmo6164
      @gizmo6164 Год назад +1

      @@shakeysteventon4197 I can’t fault the quality but, my P70 Evolution is a very weighty beast. I’ve contacted Ava customer support about the fuse blowing issue I had read about, even though mine hadn’t. I was told to pull the gun trigger when switching the machine on and have never had a blown fuse. I was having my extension reel tripping out so I made my own extension out of some meaty gauge cable advised from a local electrical supplier and no further issues. Auto-stop hose connectors are those push-fit connectors like Hoselock that stop the flow of water if you separate the connector. Apparently, this is not good for the machine. I just turn the tap off at the wall before disconnecting anything. A really very well thought out machine in my opinion. Only real issue was the supplied snow foam bottle which went through product like it was going out of fashion. I just use my Autoglym one instead. I’ve heard that Ava can now supply a more pro version of the cannon that has likely fixed the issue with my version.

    I bought the Go P55 in the summer. I had bought a Karcher K5 compact to replace a K4 full control which didn’t make it to 4 years old. The thing I hate about the Karcher is the awful plastic power hose which kinks all the time and the trigger gun. It performs well and if it must be a yellow machine the K5 is not a bad machine. The K5 has been put away and retired as the Ava is so much better for the car. I wanted something portable as I no longer have a garage on my driveway having moved house and have to cart it through the house. I would have bought a master P80 otherwise and blown my budget. Despite its diminutive size the P 55 is more than a match for the K5 with very similar performance specs. The Ava nozzles, extendable lance and professional quality hose make it stand out and in action is far better. It is also quieter than the Karcher. If you want convinced go watch the epic car show detailing review of the P55, k5 compact and Nilfisk Core 140. Three very good machines but the Ava won this test.

      @joevanseeters2873 Год назад +2

      AVA should really look at bringing all those machines to the US market. That would be a HUGE market for AVA and I am pretty sure if they got into any of the big box stores here they would do exceptionally well! But even with just on-line sales and the right marketing, they would have a huge opportunity over here in the USA and even the Canadian market.

    I purchased a P60 Master during the Covid lockdown period after the K4 finally died . I took a long time deciding on which manufacturer , going through the usual Karcher ,, Nilfisk , Kranzle and even Sthil options ...Came across AVA on a motoring forum and after reading several reviews took the plunge .
    After the order had arrived i was initially disappointed as the P60 had come straight from they UK warehouse and had been heavily damaged in transit . An email to the customer services soon had a replacement on route to me which arrived 2 days after the initial contact . I should add that it was a courier and not AVA that had caused the damage .
    I ordered the extra 10 metre hose to give me a total of 18 metres , which some may think excessive , but as I can't always rely on parking exactly outside my property solves the problem .
    The P60 has been faultless from day 1 of the replacement machine being recieved , and exceeded my expectations . The only negative with the P60 is the lack of electrical cable storage , a small oversight by AVA , but one i can live with .
    A note to potential buyers of any machine above the P60 master model . As they are high power machines , i had seen several references to the requirement for a 16 amp power supply . Several owners had reported that attempting to run tham on a 13 amp supply , especially if any other appliance was on the same circuit that drew an average amout of current would cause the pressure washer to cut out . Please note that this something that i haven't experienced myself and found on line , so may or may not be correct .

    Nice presentation but skimped on one of the most important features (at least for me). One of the biggest issues with pressure washers is the cable management. Yes they have reels for the hose and you say there is cable reel on the high end model but didn't really show it in action.
    I personally would like to see the reels operated in more detail in various scenarios and the connections shown before I purchase one.

    I bought a master P60 in the first lockdown. Way better than any other domestic pressure washer I've had before. Other than a fuse, not needed anything, whereas some karcher products I've had in the past have had to go back they were so unreliable. Excellent company ethos in making things to last instead of being thrown in the bin IMO.
    I have used industrial spec machines in the past and its not fare to compare that type of equipment to domestic, for the price on the master it blows anything else away.

I have owned my p80 evo for a year and it started to have problems so Ava picked it up and the machine got lost and they told me that they had no more p80.'s due to fuse issues. The main problem with Ava is the amount of time that is needed to resolve an issue plus there is no complaints department or any escalation process my advice is do not buy direct from Ava Norway like I did buy from a UK outlet so that way you are covered by our consumers laws

    After 3 failed Karchers last one being a K5 had enough of “German engineering” along with BMW and their snapping timing chains, and Merc gearboxes exploding. I wasn’t going to buy a 4th Karcher.

      the k7 karcher full control has been really good. solid so far loads of grunt and it specs up well against the P80. only had one problem with OEM gun the little plastic bit comes out but I used stubby with itK7 seems like a really good machine. But for me the P55 ava deal at 149 quid for the bundle outperforms the k2 k4 and squares up to the K5. I think the little P55 is the little gem in the range for car cleaning. You would want more grunt if you have a larger patios.

      Bigdude. I had a Karcher can't remember the model, but K5 rings a bell, so may have had that one as well. Hated it, not designed for car detailing, noisy as hell, short hose, heavy, more of a garden jet washer. Try the BigBoi WASHR FLO pressure washer (UK distributor is Ultimate Finish). Absolutely love it. Got it with the 15 m hose, what a godsend, no more dragging the jet wash around the car, a lot quieter, seems more powerful, love the 4 nozzles, quick release connector, bought a new stubby gun for it, haven't tried it yet, too god-damn cold now. Highly recommend it. Ideal for home car detailers. Think it's a lot cheaper than the AVA's, but you need to check the prices on that. I feel the AVA's are more for pro detailers, using it daily, than your weekend detailer. Even Paul Dolden loved it. And he rightly stated it was between amateur to pro. You might save a bit of money that you can spend on other car detailing stuff, if you went for the Bigboi. But I'm glad we have a great choice of good products to choose from.

    How much pressure is too much for washing cars? I've seen people destroy their paint using washers at work designed for cleaning military vehicles, and stone chips are also an issue. Yeah thats a bummer.... On the P80 looks like you'd need a 25amp breaker/fuse at 120volts. You would need a dedicated 30amp outlet and unless you install one (or take from another big appliance eg. dryer in the garage) there is no easy way to run it in a standard US/Canadian home... sad.
      At 240 volts you'd only need a bit over 11amps if my math is correct....
