There is no need of android auto. If you have a Bluetooth enabled infotainment system in your car then you can connect and make or receive calls. If you have steering mounted controls then you dont need Google assistant also.. But if you need to see the map on the car infotainment system you may need a supporting software on the car pre installed by the manufacturer and also Google navigation and Android Auto support. Thats currently available on top end models only. What this video says is how to use Google Voice Assistant.
