its an oyster farm, which basically means they place sand in the oysters and let the oysters do the rest! still a real, cultured pearl, just they help the oysters a little bit! 😊

Maybe I am little crazy, but this is so relaxing to watch. I watch another pearl show, and while it is fun, it is bit of a hot mess. Kids interrupt, kind of unorganized. They have different games to play, etc, which is fun to watch, but it gets insane. I think the quality of the jewelry is better here though as well.

Stumbled across these videos, and cannot stop watching!!!!! Usually the only vids I wacgch in full are to do with medical things or mysteries/mysterious thing. I was interested as when I lived in Charlotte NC, I attended the Southern Womens Fair (late '80s) and I purchased 2 oysters. I got a 6mm ivory in one and 2 grey pearls, one was 6.3mm and the other was 6.25mm.

Do all of them have pearls?
They are cultured pearls, you see? when the oyster is young you insert a graint of sand into the animal, the oyster then starts to coat the dot of sand wih the same product as it coats it's shell, over time and layer over layer, you end with a pearl. So long story short, yes, probably all of them have a pearl, because they probably made sure to put a grain of sand on them when they were young

these oysters are preserved in alcohol so are unsafe to eat
these oysters have been choosen for pearl production, same as some cows are chosen for meat and others for milk, you cannot eat these ones, in the process of making the Pearl and preserve it, you spoil the meat

Pam Cunningham you can get some SUPER cheap oysters with pearls inside from the wish app. I bought my grandmother some for Mother's Day and I went to micheals and made her a pretty necklace.

Yeah I saw that. But I think its the shell reflection. If you see it, there is a bulky line, (use 0.25 speed like i did) and that line follows through to the blue ball like shape but actually just bulky part of it.
I know that doesnt make sense and I might be wrong but I kept watching it and I think it is just a blue bulky line (that looks like the ball).
Also, I wanna note why he said Elizabeth (Previous Christelle customer) get 1 but they opened two? (Shouldnt second one which was blue, go to Christelle?)

Hi guys, as an avid shell collector and semi precious stone collector what do you guys do with the empty shells as these can have many different uses like jewley guitar picks and lots more all you have yo do is clean the shell and there you go a fantastic surface for alsorts but the bigger the better
