I definitely felt the lack of role model material in the bands I used to listen to. Now I'm over 50, and my role models are 20- and 30-year-old women from Mexico and Japan. Never could have predicted that...

I have a 2004 Custom 24 - 10Top - Private Stock is way over my head price wise. However both of these ladies are correct. PRS even the SE versions are worth the money. They are quality built guitars.
Dany is fantastic at combining her powerful vocals with her guitar playing, while Kanami speaks to the listener completely through her guitar. I've seen pictures of Kanami's new private stock guitar, and it is beautiful. People are always trying to put one band up against another and all that does is hurt the music. Kanami and Dany together show that cooperation helps everyone and makes the best music.
Two different skill sets, both equally impressive. Kanami is a true artist with her lead guitar work and Dany can somehow play riffs while singing lead at the same time. Both fantastic artists.
My cheeks started to hurt towards the end ... I love them so much! I personally fell in-love with drumming but if one day I get the motivation to play and learn guitar, I can 100% say that Kanami will be my reason to get a PRS guitar
I don’t know much of anything about guitars, but I know the best two bands in the world today are Band-Maid and The Warning. The fact that they both play PRS guitars is probably not a coincidence. There is no better two brand ambassadors for guitars today than these two.
You need to be more specific dude. For Hard Rock of course Band Maid but for Metal especially Power Metal there is no better Band than Lovebites nowadays. I am still not familiar with The Warning and don't know what genre they play but I will try to listen to them.

I loved hearing Kanami reveal that she was influenced to try PRS guitars because of Carlos Santana. Carlos - originally a violin player(and - like The Warning, from Mexico) - ALWAYS had a very distinctive tone ever since he became famous in 1969, and discerning guitar players paid attention to his "Quest for the Ultimate Guitar Tone." He liked Gibsons at first, because of the magical thick tone they provided. But the whole world is aware that Gibson became complacent in the 1970s. Carlos went from his Woodstock SG to Les Pauls, and later a Les Paul variation called an L6 S. Next, he played the famed Yamaha SG_2000, their legendary "Les Paul Killer." But Carlos wasn't satisfied, and he was eventually able to hook up with PRS as they were starting out; they were like a slim, rounded Les Paul, but with an offset body like a Strat. They are the new Rolls Royce or Ferrari of the Guitar world; pricey, to be sure - but excellence is worth every penny to discerning and demanding guitar players.
You can feel the love and respect that Dany and Kanami have for each other throughout this video, and you can definitely read it in their facial expressions and eyes. I can't wait to hear more of these collaboration songs they wrote together !

Been listening to Band Maid ever since their video for Real Existence crossed my feed, here on RUclips, way back in 2015. I quickly picked up their album, New Beginning, loved it, and then picked up Maid In Japan as well, and have kept their releases bought up as they've been released. Killer band, love them! Hope to, one day, get to finally see them perform live (besides just here on RUclips...😁). However, I've never heard of the band, The Warning, so I need to check them out now, too. 🤘

I am not sure what you mean. The Warning and BAND-MAID happened to do a collaboration and the guitarists both happened to use PRS. PRS saw that and arranged for this interview. Sounds like sound thinking to me. Then, of course Dany is a very good guitar player and Kanami is a guitar monster. But, who cares about that? They are both super cool, and both bands are extremely good, in different ways.
Big shout out to PRS for putting both of these very gifted ladies and their respective bands at the forefront. I am a huge fan of The Warning (they have replaced my original #1 band of Iron Maiden which was a 30+ year stretch), and I really think that her PRS guitars have made her music growth more pronounced. She was always talented, but the right tool for the job makes her life easier. I know very little of Band-Maid, but what I do know is that they are a truly unique band that can put on killer shows. As a musician myself I love it when people like Dany and Kanami find their perfect guitars. Touring puts a lot of stress on instruments as Dany pointed out, and if you ever had a guitar or bass in winter months or summer months those changes can be dramatic. It really makes or breaks your performance. As a bass player I've jammed with a couple of PRS players, and the sound I hear is like no other. The sustain, the thickness and quality put the competition to shame. Sadly I just read in the PRS forums that the basses are for the most part no longer being made (this was as of 2023). Great interview!!!

I've not seen anything of The Warning before but the lady in the video seems quite nice, and if they have the Band Maid stamp of approval I suppose they must be pretty good. I'm going to go and listen to them for the first time today. Thank you, Kanami for introducing me to another band. You're so sweet. PS... I want a PRS even more now. I have Mika's signature guitar from Zemaitis. Why haven't PRS made a Kanami signature yet? You don't have many female guitarists in your signature range. Not enough anyway. Pick up the slack, please.
The Warning are brilliant, but as you may have guessed, their approach is a bit different from Band-Maid's. I think they're in a league of their own when it comes to songwriting, but their songs tend to be relatively stripped down. There's MUCH less emphasis on solos, for instance, than other bands (which is the way I prefer it, personally), but Dany's ability to handle both riffs and awesome lead vocals at the same time is very impressive.
8:57 ME, I'm one of those people, Kanami! I was into V-shapes and Ex-shape guitars, take Solar and LTD (ESP), and superstrats from Charvel--and then knowing Band-Maid in 2018/2019 and been to their concerts TWICE, I actually have a PRS SE in Tampas Green (made in South Korea). ^^ Kanami used to have a PRS in greenish colour back then. ^^
Interesting that they both articulated the "Cute girls playing heavy rock" dichotomy and were both surprised by it. Nobody in marketing had ever explained how that's the hook!? but then you stay for the music. That's seems to be a basic (modern) human reaction - however sexist it might be. Touring together in Mexico makes great sense. Band-Maid crowds at Mexican gigs looked nuts!

Love both bands! I've seen The Warning twice, and Band-Maid 8 times (with two more shows in Japan for Band-Maid coming up for me in November). Both very talented. I'm hoping that Kanami may play her new Private Stock PRS at the Zepp Haneda shows that I'm going to. I've seen pictures of it, and it looks beautiful, especially the head stock with the Band-Maid logo inlay.

Still would like to see Mincho release an EP of her own material where she actually sings! She has such as an angelic tone to her voice, and I think she would be shocked how many people would be into listening to her.
Of course it’s a kind of advertisement, but I would listen to these two reading the phone book aloud. (Of course PRS and their axes are way cooler than phone books, and unlike phone books they will endure and always be in style.)
Kanami must be protected at all costs. Both bands are amazing. I am curious to see if Dany will have her Private Stock when I will go see them in April 2025. 🤞
They aren't cheap, which is probably why she said she may never be able to get one. According to Google, they tend to run between 10-20 grand and they can take up to 8 months to build. .
I think kanamincho doesn't really spend money on anything else but gear. She's said to have 2 Bogner amps and they're around 4k. I also think her private stock is at the top of the budget - the finish alone looks scary expensive. Anyway it's tax deductible.
They both are great guitarists, Kanami is a hardcore guitar player and Dany is a power chord guitar player, the most interesting thing is how they have learned from each other’s during their collab and their leg in Japan.

I've not seen anything of The Warning before but the lady in the video seems quite nice, and if they have the Band Maid stamp of approval I suppose they must be pretty good. I'm going to go and listen to them for the first time today. Thank you, Kanami for introducing me to another band. You're so sweet.
PS... I want a PRS even more now. I have Mika's signature guitar from Zemaitis. Why haven't PRS made a Kanami signature yet? You don't have many female guitarists in your signature range. Not enough anyway. Pick up the slack, please.
The Warning are brilliant, but as you may have guessed, their approach is a bit different from Band-Maid's. I think they're in a league of their own when it comes to songwriting, but their songs tend to be relatively stripped down. There's MUCH less emphasis on solos, for instance, than other bands (which is the way I prefer it, personally), but Dany's ability to handle both riffs and awesome lead vocals at the same time is very impressive.

8:57 ME, I'm one of those people, Kanami! I was into V-shapes and Ex-shape guitars, take Solar and LTD (ESP), and superstrats from Charvel--and then knowing Band-Maid in 2018/2019 and been to their concerts TWICE, I actually have a PRS SE in Tampas Green (made in South Korea). ^^
Kanami used to have a PRS in greenish colour back then. ^^

Thank you for building such a beautiful private stock guitar for Kanami.
Interesting that they both articulated the "Cute girls playing heavy rock" dichotomy and were both surprised by it. Nobody in marketing had ever explained how that's the hook!? but then you stay for the music. That's seems to be a basic (modern) human reaction - however sexist it might be.
Touring together in Mexico makes great sense. Band-Maid crowds at Mexican gigs looked nuts!

Love both bands! I've seen The Warning twice, and Band-Maid 8 times (with two more shows in Japan for Band-Maid coming up for me in November). Both very talented. I'm hoping that Kanami may play her new Private Stock PRS at the Zepp Haneda shows that I'm going to. I've seen pictures of it, and it looks beautiful, especially the head stock with the Band-Maid logo inlay.
I'm sure she'll play it ! Hahaha

Still would like to see Mincho release an EP of her own material where she actually sings! She has such as an angelic tone to her voice, and I think she would be shocked how many people would be into listening to her.

Of course it’s a kind of advertisement, but I would listen to these two reading the phone book aloud. (Of course PRS and their axes are way cooler than phone books, and unlike phone books they will endure and always be in style.)
Two beautiful and talented guitarists and songwriters. Kanami is probably a musical genius. PRS is so lucky to have them.
Kanami must be protected at all costs. Both bands are amazing. I am curious to see if Dany will have her Private Stock when I will go see them in April 2025. 🤞
They aren't cheap, which is probably why she said she may never be able to get one. According to Google, they tend to run between 10-20 grand and they can take up to 8 months to build. .

I think kanamincho doesn't really spend money on anything else but gear. She's said to have 2 Bogner amps and they're around 4k. I also think her private stock is at the top of the budget - the finish alone looks scary expensive. Anyway it's tax deductible.

They both are great guitarists, Kanami is a hardcore guitar player and Dany is a power chord guitar player, the most interesting thing is how they have learned from each other’s during their collab and their leg in Japan.
