Switch stick needs like a half second post snap delay so I don't end up controlling someone I can't even see right as the ball is snapped because I was trying to slant my DLine in. So tired of that switching me to some random CB from my MLB
Great video. Appreciate the depth you went into and love the concepts. Only thing missing is user depth on tackling and attacking the ball in the air. I think there is a lot to teach there. Slow downing down. Sprinting into over pursuit is so common. Lay off the hit stick and wrapping up. The hit stick are a missed tackle waiting to happen if you're not perfectly timed up. Dive tackles only for chasedowns. Using swat if you're not in position for an interception. You can really break up a lot of passes with following through with the swat after the catch. Rallying to the ball with the switch stick: get your man there, wrap/start animation, switch and bring another for the hit stick/clean up.

Great job of explaining drop zones, including how far deep or shallow one player is playing compared to another player. I'd like to add something that may seem simple but,it can catch the CPU/opposing players by superise. Flipping plays. If you're blitzing the right LB in 3-4 about 2 ot 3 times in the first half, in the 2nd half flip that same play to where the left LB is now blitzing and the right LB is dropping back into coverage. Little things like that can disrupt plays and adjustments the other player/CPU has made in protecting the QB.
I call hard flats too when its a screen play but my defenders literally just sit there and stare and wait until the receiver catches the ball to do something

I find man coverage works best for me with my secondary playing underneath. I get the most int’s that way and my players cover much better then a zone.
When I’m playing Cov 2 I typically play with the corner and play with “2 Read” rules which is essentially quarters with cover 2 rules so I can take away deep outs and corners on one half of the field. Hope the helps someone.

What zone coverage works to disguise the man press against the deep Go route. If I go press hard flats then it’s still single coverage with the safety. It’s broken. HELP
I think man is a really good mix in, and at times is a great base defense (usually when "Man KOs" are in the game) I think as a pure starting point though. Drop Coverage is the best (with an understanding of what you're actually doing), and Man should be used as a Change Up

Honestly I like the video because if you played NCAA14 up to now like religiously! And made the game super hard.. you learned how to play cover zone football. Appreciate the tips your vids are a life saver! So potential dumb question but what scenarios do you recommend running man? Or should you never?
I think man is a really good mix in, and at times is a great base defense (usually when "Man KOs" are in the game)
I think as a pure starting point though. Drop Coverage is the best (with an understanding of what you're actually doing), and Man should be used as a Change Up
How do I make my defender stay where I move them? I want to put my blitzer on the line but when I switch to my user, he moves back.
This is awesome. Thanks man!
I just switch my user to dline or linebacker and get after the QB and or rb
so these 3 plays are the only zone plays we should use and make adjustments with these plays? Also do you offer some sort of lessons i dont want no Ebook just trying to be good this year
I do well at d for everything except long passes, they kill me with that
How do I put all my linebackers on the line?
Do you have to change coach adjustments in-game every single time you start a new game
Yes sir
If you can respond please do , my match isn’t turning off when I changed my zone drops is it maybe my playbook?
Is there a way to make these coaching adjustments in the main menu so I don’t have to make them every time I play?
How do you feel about press coverage?
can get burnt easily in this game
So for all 3 zones drops what should we put them on
How are you using both Offense and Defense pre-play options in practice mode?
two controllers!
@@MisterCiv Thanks bro!
Honestly I like the video because if you played NCAA14 up to now like religiously! And made the game super hard.. you learned how to play cover zone football. I don’t play madden but I’m holding my own due to the type of coverages and zones to put players in while still rushing the QB. But this video is definitely dead on to how I play coverage ball. Nevertheless still good video for those to get better.
Is there a double TE play? My zone just got got by a good TE, repeatedly.
Does anyone knows why my guys go back to their original spot after I moved them before snap?
What’s the difference between using o and switch stick
Circle doesn't let you select the player you want DURING the play!
Great video! easy sub💪🏾
tbh i just score every drive and try to bait turnovers and hope my cpu teammates do their jobs sometimes cant even use random teams cuz im playing bama and ga every game. now i use bama every game 🤷🏾
Watch this after going 0-2 and against Duke and fcs e and we got 8Clemson next 😭
Now teach us how to tackle in heisman
Also the user thing would be hard on heisman..computer like 5 steps ahead of you😂
is it possible to save coaching adjustments
Sadly no
Does this guide apply for offline heisman against the cpu and not only user cuz cpu still shreds no matter how you try to attack the run
How do yiu switch to a defneder close to the qb? Switch stick doesnt do it, B button press doesnt do it. My AI will not dove for sacks i will and. I cant switch to that defender ever. No problem in madden. Did the switch stick break it?
@MisterCiv9 bot in chat. What you trying to scam me for. I just wanna tackle to qb
