UPDATE: On the Revamped Passing section, for a Hard Bullet Pass, you want to release RIGHT BEFORE you get to the "Yellow". Getting inside the Yellow will lead to a slight inaccuracy penalty. Also, different Quarterbacks have bigger/smaller "Red" areas. Bad QB on Heisman will have a HUGE red area, meaning it's very easy to throw inaccurate balls. Hope this helps!
I’m someone who has never watched a game of American football in my life. I watched a short video on the rules of the game just before I bought this game because it looked so fun. This video is EXACTLY what I needed as a beginner and should have more views
We don’t deserve you my dude. Not in this game & not in madden. You do All the leg work for us who can’t play enough to figure it out. Thank you for that!
Playing CFB 25 is so different from any other football game because of how honestly realistic it can be in a lot of situations. I find myself having to break my habit of trying to cheese the CPU and animations, which is how Madden usually plays. I've realized that since it's more realistic, I have to make calls and reads based off of what you see in real life. This video helped a lot.
Excellent advice, thank you so much for taking the time to actually explain the different passes. First game I played after watching, my QB went 16 for 21 for 244 yds, 5 tds and no ints. By far my best game passing. Still have a hard time switching to my WR in time to select the type of catch.
Thank you for the kind words, all credit to you, congrats on the success! “Clicking on”, certainly takes some practice and muscle memory. HUGE add on once you get it done though!
I've watched other vids but dude yours is by far the best my guy. You take your time and keep repeating yourself to make sure we get it stamped in our brain. Keep doing what you're doing!
A video focusing more on throwing into the open space rather than focusing on reading the coverages and creating better plays (not having multiple routes attacking the same part of the field) would be an awesome video to go a bit deeper into
best video i’ve ever watched never realized i drifted back so much and how hitting r2 to roll out without being necessary would make them shed quicker made me 10x better at pocket presence in three minutes
Want to say the way you take your time explaining all this is legit helpful. Going to run some games in a bit and then watch the newest video. Great stuff!
Hey Civil I'm curious if you permanently switched to revamped passing or still play with freeform but just show revamped in this tutorial. If you could tell me it would be greatly appreciated so I can pick that type of passing.
This was really well done, it's like the "little things" that really enhance your game play! Haven't played football games since prolly Madden 16? So getting back into NCAA 25 been a bit rough, but your defense video should help 💪🤙
Same. You have to use the L2 to strafe. It has to be a split second on sacks and tfl just like real life. It’s hard to get a sack but if you do it right it’s so satisfying!
Hey man, i’m a huge football nerd I have no idea how to explain my 15 years of madden/ncaa experience to my bro to learn. and you hit everything on the spot this is a great video and a deserved like and follow (I never comment)
Been playing madden since madden 11. All you need really is bullet pass for the most part. Being able to determine rather it’s zone or man is more important.

(passing) (i really believe at one point) good tips man.. its funny i am a legend at running the ball, know exactly what i need to do to get some yards.. now passing.. well lets just say im better at small ball than being an actual QB... i get going than try something that will help with future plays and than INT happens.. so thank you!
Jet pass defense and wildcat defense. People are just walking down the field with one play. I’ve seen it in tournaments and in Regs. JET PASS DEFENSE PLEASE
I shift to run commit to whatever side they’re motioning to as soon as I see that damn motion. It’s risky if they do a play action pass out of it but most people are cheese puffs and have no shame. Try it out
Any chance you can do a video on how to user pass rush? I play Ultimate team with 2 friends and I’m on the D-line. There seems to be more depth here than I thought after not playing for many years. The white and blue dots make it seem like I need to press the buttons that appear to build up my dots or something? I’m not sure. It feels all luck based to me right now.
I'm using the revamped passing in my dynasty, but it feels like the meter is broken. I can use it fine in practice, but in my dynasty my QBs never get the full meter, it's either a high arc lofted pass, or it's red and inaccurate and there's no middle ground. I have yet to see even a little yellow in the meter. My QBs have accuracy in the 80's so I didn't think it would be too low, especially when I'm throwing screens and short crossers that don't have the full meter. Any ideas?
Yellow is not actually a perfect bullet pass. Yellow means there’s a slight chance the ball will be off target. The arc is granular - the longer you hold it, the more of a bullet pass it is no matter the color. I’ve never had the issue you’re describing though. My only guess would be pressure
So…. How do I layer the ball on a deep pass, i do a quick pass to to lob it but the defender still breaks it up or picks it. Or sometimes no matter the throw he over leads the throw
@@54Burg thing is I don’t struggle at all on offense, it’s too easy. It’s lack of D that kind of makes this game pointless. It’s literally first to make a mistake.
I just don’t find it fun, it’s not skill to score a TD, and stopping someone is usually them throwing it directly to you or something in error so again no skill. I tried putting my pad down and letting the CPU select my D plays and play D for me. I. 4 games I got 10 picks, not even joking.
When in practice mode, I can do some of the passing correctly. But while playing in an actual game, I get destroyed with sacks and interceptions still. Not having much success.

The leading just straight up doesn’t work half the time. Especially on deep balls. Constantly getting passes picked thrown inside or short to the safety when I’m pressing out and up.
Another route I’ve found great success audibling the running back to is the corner route. Whatever side he’s on by the QB. If he’s right to the QB then it’s right dpad. Then left of QB it’s left in dpad. And I’m pretty sure you can stem it. I like to run it out of like trips tightend set a lot. If you don’t mind would you test some combos out and see if you can come up with some good hot route audibles?
The problem I have, is when I have a guy 4 steps ahead on a streak and I throw it and it gets picked off. If I bullet it, then it’s picked no matter how far behind the defender is. If I lob it, it hangs in the air too long and the defender speed boosts up to my receiver and picks it off. I cannot for the life of me throw over linebackers over the middle either, when I have an open in route 20 yards down the field.
Do you know how to use touch passes ? This vid showed lobs and bullets but there’s a third option . If you only fill the meter up a little bit , like half or less , it throws a touch pass..which is ideal for what you described . Enough zip to get there but enough arc to go over a defenders head
@@LOLstickvid gotcha . It takes a little getting used to . I mess it up a lot . But if I understood your description correctly than ya it should be what solves ur problem . Good luck !
