Sure but, if you can get 1 or 2 stops their players will gas just like yours. When people are running plays for their 97 speed guy, 1 or 2 stops is such an equalizer. They get slower.

Good advice, I like both the Dime and Nickel. I run Oklahoma's 4-2-5. I find when you shut down the run and don't allow big windows in the passing game, players do this garbage. It's always to the TE and always some screen/option play. Where I'm really struggling is my team overall is 84 and every time I'm H2H, it's always against someone with a 90 or higher overall team. How can a team like that compete with a team like that? You can't pass because the SS, FS and CB are all juiced. Your run game falls apart because 90's swim past 85's with ease. Make a video with a legit 84/83 team(which is about average for new players)show casing strategies on how to beat these teams or atleast not get blown out.

There’s no stopping the CPU. I fast sim and pray for a miracle or slow sim so I can step in when they get in trouble. I don’t play every defensive snap because they’ll run for 300 yards

I got lit up for nearly 800 yards passing by the FCS Coyotes QB who is decent at best despite playing 4-2-5, Nickel and Dime packages knowing full well all the CPU will do is throw the ball. The Coyotes had 34 runs for 50 total yards, and 25 of those were garbage yards. I’ll keep practicing because I undeniably need it on defense.

If you want a spy it must be you. The spy coverage doesn't do dick all. Calling a spy basically is deciding to play with 10 dudes. If you call a spy, you MUST play it yourself. The cpu just sorta hangs and gets burnt.

The middle rec curls are responsible for the second player to go to the flats. So in that case a crosser heading to the flats that another receiver has already went to, you are responsible for locking him down
It's a good base defense which is why cover three, is very good.Defensively.. Plays that work against it Digs Hb slip screens Slot hitches Corners Wr screens..
The corners you need to predict, and user along with the middle of the field. You won’t lock down every play so don’t worry about giving up the short throws over the middle

Alot of cpu teams run a ton or do quick rpo's and i get a ton of picks doing this even with a 71 overall team. Then on offense just so alot of quick game and low risk high reward plays and WASTE THE CLOCK.
I’ll run Tampa 2 or cover 2 hard flat and they won’t cover the flat on drags so I gotta change the drop to 5 yards or if I’m in the red zone I do triangle and then whichever button sticks is
If I use a comeback route and a flat on this type of cover 3, I will torture you on the high low reads on both side of the field. The second defender in can never be right. Do i guard the flats or do I take the comeback route ? This would work with 80% of online players though.
Not every team defense has the ratings for a 4-2-5. Your defense should run the formation that contains the best OVRs. Not all edge rushers should rush the passer. Ie a 80 OVR edge should drop into coverage against an 81+ ovr tackle. Get gold medals in all training pass coverage, especially man. Then you can cover a team's best player if he's a wide receiver or TE with your user. Learn defensive play calling and adjustments on the fly.

Did I hear that right and wouldn’t over the top override the underneath? I must have missed something.
great video once again. i was playing a friend in dynasty earlier and they kept hitting the corner routes on me. i would try to adjust and they would go to the flats. and they would hurry up and make it hard to adjust. i do have a question, i’ve been practicing quick adjustments on the fly on defense. and what i have realized is it’s hard to do it super fast when depending on formation, the buttons to press with db to adjust changes from time to time as well as where they are positioned on the field. also, the left stick says its zone and the right stick says assignments. is that an indicator that the right stick will always be a set number of options you can change ur players coverage to? idk, im lost…

Anyone else all of a sudden can’t stop anything since the last update? I was playing on heisman beating bad teams pretty easy and keeping it close with good teams now it’s every time I have the ball pretty much ends up in fumbling or int that really shouldn’t be a pick and while I’m on defense cpu will hit a massive hole and run it for 70+ yards with no help in the second level or dbs are completely flat footed and get beat over the top on a simple go route. (Not just barely beat, I mean like my defender is 20 yards behind the receiver beat) No matter what changes I make preplay one of the two ends up happening on their drives and now I’m playing on varsity and still losing over half my games..at the point where I’m ready to put down the controller until they get this fixed. Am I the only one?
Still on Heisman for me though, it's like you have to wear them out now and then they start fucking up and you might get a couple stops, that's how I have to beat the shitty teams too. I'm basically Iowa

I can sometimes pull out a comeback win in the fourth quarter bc they’ll play sloppy towards the end but it’s literally like every single game no matter who I’m playing im down 14 or more starting the fourth. It’s stuff like I’ll throw to the back in the flats and the qb will just lob it midfield wayyy off his route for a pick 6. Or I’ll try and throw a back shoulder pass in the end zone and he will cj stroud it way up in there and get picked off. Today I did better by just throwing it away instead of the back and not running those type of plays. The game has changed drastically for me since four days ago
Man coverage is very inconsistent in this game. I’d recommend either bringing more pressure (so that the qb can’t just sit in the pocket and let his routes develop) and if he blocks his rb or te to counter that then that’s one or even 2 less routes on the field. Once he suspects ur running man you can start using coverage shells to confuse him and make him think ur running cover 0 when in reality ur running a Tampa 2 or Cover 3. Just make ur opponent uncomfortable, make him overthink and try to force him to turn the ball over. Realistically if you are good at offense you only need a few stops and game. But most importantly if you think he is going to beat you overtop don’t press and shade over top
Everyone abandoning the Madden strategies. Use the base setting and defense. Kniw when to be aggressive. Let them feed on the underneath and learn when play underneath. You only need 1 or 2 picks to totally change the game. Especially as the home team
@MisterCiv this game doesn't play like Madden especially not the zones v man to man and especially not vs the AI. I saw a video that said never use zone blitz and those have been saving me in the redzone and on 3rd down. Cover 2 man is SWISS cheese on this game unless you have an all American secondary

The people over half the community faces right now either scramble or chuck prayers downfield that're usually answered

Playing underneath only matters for man (makes them press) or for the flat zones, which are hard, curl or quarter (the blue/purples)

By turning on Zone Drops, we canceled the match coverage! Also, shading cancels it too!

(Not just barely beat, I mean like my defender is 20 yards behind the receiver beat) No matter what changes I make preplay one of the two ends up happening on their drives and now I’m playing on varsity and still losing over half my games..at the point where I’m ready to put down the controller until they get this fixed. Am I the only one?

Still on Heisman for me though, it's like you have to wear them out now and then they start fucking up and you might get a couple stops, that's how I have to beat the shitty teams too. I'm basically Iowa
@@russwheeler3942 yea I’ve noticed that. I can sometimes pull out a comeback win in the fourth quarter bc they’ll play sloppy towards the end but it’s literally like every single game no matter who I’m playing im down 14 or more starting the fourth.
It’s stuff like I’ll throw to the back in the flats and the qb will just lob it midfield wayyy off his route for a pick 6. Or I’ll try and throw a back shoulder pass in the end zone and he will cj stroud it way up in there and get picked off. Today I did better by just throwing it away instead of the back and not running those type of plays.

Underneath isn’t the problem! My man coverage gets beat every time. Almost a touch down how do you stop that!
either put someone in a deep zone, or just dont run man
Man coverage is very inconsistent in this game. I’d recommend either bringing more pressure (so that the qb can’t just sit in the pocket and let his routes develop) and if he blocks his rb or te to counter that then that’s one or even 2 less routes on the field. Once he suspects ur running man you can start using coverage shells to confuse him and make him think ur running cover 0 when in reality ur running a Tampa 2 or Cover 3. Just make ur opponent uncomfortable, make him overthink and try to force him to turn the ball over. Realistically if you are good at offense you only need a few stops and game. But most importantly if you think he is going to beat you overtop don’t press and shade over top

Everyone abandoning the Madden strategies. Use the base setting and defense. Kniw when to be aggressive. Let them feed on the underneath and learn when play underneath. You only need 1 or 2 picks to totally change the game. Especially as the home team
I use the same strategies I broke down here on Madden too!
@MisterCiv this game doesn't play like Madden especially not the zones v man to man and especially not vs the AI. I saw a video that said never use zone blitz and those have been saving me in the redzone and on 3rd down. Cover 2 man is SWISS cheese on this game unless you have an all American secondary

@MisterCiv don't take me being snarky as a personal attack. You have some of the better videos. I'm more so pointing out that we've all been playing on a 12 year old game engine and we do a lot to mask that ridiculous fact. You have to trick the game so it plays basic defense

But too many times, we have experienced causals chucking a corner or post route with no clear out routes on the field and, b/c this is College Football 25 the deep zone safety reacts late and just like that it's a 20-30 yard completion at worst
Due to this, I have now started shading up and mixing in either curl or cloud flats to stop the mindless chucking
With this I know I can outscore them faster than they realize they have to take the checkdowns, so although rage quits don't happen as often I have been able to win
The people you probably run up against know how to stay patient and will take the quick drag & out routes any day.. The people over half the community faces right now either scramble or chuck prayers downfield that're usually answered
It’s college football. You don’t have a team full of professionals. So there’s supposed to be missed tackles n big plays. NCAA is more about coaching
