The X18 comes with a 22mm carb for a reason. 26mm is too big for a 125. Also, the screw on the intake side is your fuel screw. The screw on the filter side, next to your idle screw, is your air screw.
The nibbi carb is for advanced racing engines for more prep to the power band. The carb will show big torque gains with a cam, exhaust, and port matching and tuning. Hello i have a Ssr125cc i just got a vm26-606 mikuni carburetor for it and i can't find anyone to help with jetting it do u have any recommendations on jets i should use if so thanks for the help.
Hi I bought a mikuni carb and an intake for my rfz125 and have been tuning it for days with the aftermarket intake it will barely run. Bogs when giving it throttle. But when I use the stick intake it runs great. Is this due to the stock intake being able to have the vacuum hose attached or is this another issue? I can't seem to figure out how that line makes a difference and can't find anything online stating what that line is even for.
@@TynkaTyme and woth the stock filter and the hose on I have my throttle pin on the 4th spot and it runs decent when warm but when cold it will idle bit if I touch the throttle it dies immediately. Until it get fully heated up I have to let it run. Takes like 10-15 minutes before I can ride it every time
@@ViaticalGenie4 that hose isn’t causing it. Your aftermarket filter is allowing better air flow than your stock filter.. just need to adjust your fuel screw on bottom of carb to get the adjustment right for the larger volume of air it’s taking in with the new filter.
@@TynkaTyme yeah I adjusted it from closed until the screw fell out with all 5 throttle pin settings and couldn't get it to stop stalling as soon as I touched the throttle but as soon as I put the stock intake on and had the pin in the 4th setting I was able to ride it. Still needs more adjusting but I'm gonna take it to a buddy who own a shop and see if he can figure it out. There might be something else wrong.
Mikuni is really the “gas economy” way, a Nibbi is more 125cc racing classes via track days but I will say harder to “fine tune it” correctly if not it’ll confuse the idle via rich or lean, a Mikuni it’s easy to do no “fine tuning needed” just my opinion. 💯
I was suggested to get a pe22 NIBBI carb I have a 125cc with a big bore kit (57mm) which makes it a “140cc” it runs pretty good but I’m also curious if I should of gotten a bigger carb
dan kersting you got that right man. A lot of people don’t know how to adjust a carburetor, so i made this video to show the mikuni would be a better “bolt on and go” carb. I’m sure the nibbi is superior after you put a few hours into it getting it dialed in right. Thanks for watching dan!
@@TynkaTyme so for an experienced rider and obviously someone who works on their own bikes, would you say the nibbi is indeed superior? Was it worth the tuning over the mikuni? Had a lot of real mikunis before not sure how the knockoff would compare.
Avery Schroeder absolutely not superior. I still am fine tuning it to this day. I had zero issues with my mikuni clone. I just tried the nibbi out to see what the hype was about. The mikuni clone is getting put back on the bike this evening and the nibbi is going on the shelf.
You won't see any difference from just a carb as far as top end. Now if you did some work to the head valve springs cam head work now you would benefit from the 26 mm carb nice video tho.
Thanks Joseph! Yeah, easiest way to gain speed or torque would be gearing. I made this video to show people a carburetor isn’t the magical cure for speed. Everyone things a bigger carb is the ticket to going faster when that’s not the case. Thanks for watching!

My card is screwed and I bought the nibbi carb what’s something to be prepared for when installing
Lots and lots of trial and error
Nice job on this vid bro... 5*
Awesome vid
What fuel are you running in your Apollo?
I run 93, but would recommend ethanol free fuel
Do ya mix? Or premium out of the pump? Much appreciation for the reply!! Keep up the awesome vids!
@@jordyhall1909 thanks buddy! Just premium from the pump is all i use
Which Mikuni ??
APOLLO RFZ REPRÉSENTE ✌️
I am looking at a 26mm Nibbi carburetor for a yx140cc pitbike,has anyone tried one on a 140cc?
I was suggested to get a pe22 NIBBI carb I have a 125cc with a big bore kit (57mm) which makes it a “140cc” it runs pretty good but I’m also curious if I should of gotten a bigger carb
Damn
..I got the nibbi 26mm on mine and it's good but man the adjusting
dan kersting you got that right man.
Does it have a clutch?
I have to dbx 19 I bought the makuni carburetor I hit 56 on mines
montavious miller I’m sure mine would go faster if i had more room. It was a very short run
I would love to have it,, I'll pay shipping of course can't afford a bike
Someone already won it buddy
You won't see any difference from just a carb as far as top end. Now if you did some work to the head valve springs cam head work now you would benefit from the 26 mm carb nice video tho.
Thanks Joseph! Yeah, easiest way to gain speed or torque would be gearing. I made this video to show people a carburetor isn’t the magical cure for speed. Everyone things a bigger carb is the ticket to going faster when that’s not the case. Thanks for watching!
Can I put this on my 125 cc 4 wheeler
Yes
What type of muffler do you have?
Stock
Hey bud I just ordered the 26mm nibbi for my rfz dbx18. What was your final clip setting and jet sizes? Trying to get a good starting point without taking the carb off 20 times
Man I’ll be honest, i took it right back off and switched back to the mikuni. I was chasing jetting and never could get it right, so just swapped it back off and it’s sitting on the shelf still 🤣
Do you have a link for the mikuni?
www.ebay.com/itm/VM22-Carburetor-Filter-for-Mikuni-110cc-125cc-140cc-Dirt-Pit-Bike-SSR-YCF-A-/113190300614?pageci=2dee8e98-6e7b-47dd-969f-5fde4cd5ab1d
@@TynkaTyme thanks for passing the link. BTW is there a specific kit of jets that fits this mikuni carb or the same jets for a nibbi will fit?
@@LATization1 they are different jets i believe. You just order jets for a vm22. You shouldn’t have to rejet the mikuni though, mine was perfect right out of the box
@@TynkaTyme oh cool cool...im hoping that would be the same in my case but im going to use it for a 150cc gy6 engine so im figuring ill have to rejet a bit
@@LATization1 yes you probably will. My best advice would be take the jets out when you get the carb and match them up to pics on ones you order. There are numerous companies out there that make their own version of this carb so they’re not all the same
Does anyone know where I can buy a gas tank for this bike
you buy it from the apollo website itself they have all parts
I almost bought the nibbi until I seen this lol thanks bro
Nice! Waste of money homie.
Frames r different than this one I never seen this kind painted z20

@@TynkaTyme classic song man classic! Thanks for the content I just bought my son a used chinese 4 wheeler so I'm trying to take as much info in as possible.
@@chadlovan5522 nice! The four wheelers are super simple to work on man. If you run into any snags, find me on Facebook under Tynka Tyme and shoot me a message. Happy riding!
@@TynkaTyme oh yeah!! He was from Dayton, Ohio
would you recommend me getting a nibbi carb instead of the stock mikuni for my yamaha pw 80 ?
Absolutely not. Only my opinion though.
im getting a genuine mikuni carb
I subscribed can you send the bike to hawaii?! Haha jk. Good video man. 🤙
49mph top speed is nice for a 125cc damn I might get one for my wife
I love my dbx18 bike and I barely even rode it anywhere yet lol its amazing for the price and the parts are real cheap.
@@SlyySquad ill keep that in mind bro
Get the 22mm 26 really ain’t meant for pit bikes
I got the 24mm nibbi on mine an we out
@13:02 note future me
i subbed i reallu want a RFZ they seem like really nice bikes :)
Noah ! Thanks Noah! They’re great bikes, but just like anything, you have to take care of them if you want them to last!
My pitty has a nibbi carb on and has a few other upgraded engine bits and runs sweet, a lot quicker than standard pit bikes. Check my short and you'll see for yourself
Bigger front sprocket for more top speed 18 tooth 🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷
Lol PFT! UNREAL!
I fixed my air leak with my daughters hot glue gun. Used the whole stick! Had to keep reapplying after each ride. Really starting to look messy. But I didn't want to take it back off.
I deleted my last comment that wasn’t ment for your video sorry about the confusion
Another RUclipsr is doing the exact same content we are I was actually watching this video it is good 👍
My 2020 stock RFZ goes 51 mph
Cool.
Yea I'm done with the nibbi, I'm going with the knock off makuni
