I’ve been researching these bikes for a month. I had a slim idea on what I wanted to try and upgrade for performance. I ordered mine last week and BY FAR you have the best videos I’ve seen. For us new to messing with fine tuning carbs know it’s one of the most frustrating things. Thank you for how detailed you get into explaining the process. Keep it up 💪🏼

Hey man, nice video. My wife's Z20 MAX seems to run pretty lean too, I'm working on finding the right jetting now at 1200' elevation. I'm definitely doing that 17T sprocket upgrade
@@matrixxx01 I'm at about the same elevation and i've tinkered with the vm22 carb TONS to get it dialed in just right. I've tested many main jets , idle jets and every position for the needle. After all the testing i've found using main jet 95, idle jet 38 with the needle on the center groove and the air/fuel about 1 7/8-2 1/8 turns out is perfect. I also highly recommend getting a extended quick adjust air fuel screw for tweaking.
The z 20s have colored frames now three different colors I think Orange red and blue I think they even have a green painted frame too I might be thinking of a different bike
Dude. I bought a 125 that had a 150 upgrade and a bunch of other goodies inc a mukuni carb, no ideas wbat the mm size is... it did not run proper. None of my adjustments got rid of the bog. What tjey are known fornon stock carburetors. I got another cheap knock off carb for 50CAN$ and i onky had to adjust idle and set the clip on the bottom position and it ran sweet. W.o.t everywhere.
Found the keys lol. I feel stupid. I love the bike. For a Chinese bike it surprisingly runs good with a different carb nd got a decent top speed . Bigger tires for me helped alot but i know you got other bikes and just want something to mess around on.

One guy said he put one of those $85 nibbies in he tried every jet there was could not get it going right so he bring it to the shop and they said they could not get it any better it's on here somewhere

I had this happen 2 or 3 times in a row, where it went all the way down with little to no resistance but then work normal again after that.
Go to my channel and look at clutch adjustment video.. clutch needs adjusted where the cable goes into engine. Find the video and go to the very end of the video i show you how to adjust it at the engine side
I know this may be a silly question but what kind of replacement chain should I order for this bike..I'm not sure whr the old chain went so I'm struggling lol tia
@tynka, I just took off my air box on mine and put on a new air filter but I ran into bogging when giving it a lot of gas. What do I need to do to fix the bog?
Usually just behind the house for pit bikes, we have a little track, nothing special, but fun to drink beer and have a good time with. Bigger bikes usually daisy or hazlehurst, but they both shut down recently.
I ordered every single main jet 90-210, and every pilot jet from 10-45 none of them worked. Took it off and put a vm22 on no rejetting required with that carb

@@acejordan1230 they actually came with a set of risers that didn’t fit. I just typed in pit bike risers on amazon and looked for the cheapest set that included them spacers

Its a 26mm with a 95 or a 56 main jet and a 15 or 75 pilot

It could be the radius of the frame but the rear shock looks bent at around 4:10

Sprocket did not fit my Z20. Did I miss something? The one they sent measures 17mm. The current one is 15mm.

That means it’s running lean. Since you have a less restrictive filter you have to adjust the carb or rejet it for more fuel

Heyy, I got the same Apollo, and I put a mikuni on, but when I’m in third gear or fourth it bogs out when I give gas. Got any ideas of what I can do?

I’m happy with it, just a little different than the x18.. the z20’s incorporated a lot of good things with them that are better than the 18
Still very underpowered in the bottom end. Very flat response. Try advancing the timing a few degrees.
